Are there chairs on the balconies to your room?

we cant really afford a savannah room..but with our AP discount we just booked a pool view room.....anyone have experience with this type of room
or with the pool view.....?any suggestions...ideas...input

I love the pool view rooms at AKL. they have a great location and are fairly central to everything. I think I prefer the Zebra Trail pool rooms. Here was our view from 4428:

What do you sell on ebay? Stuff around your house or do you sell dropship/wholesale items, etc?

Every once in a while, when I've accumulated enough, I sell my family's items, clothing, decorative pieces, jewelry, etc..... plus I make disney scrapbook pages!! Some of my DIS friends have actually purchased some of my scrap pages ~ I don't get stuff at flea markets or yard sales to sell, I'm not into that, it's just our own personal things.
I don't sell very often either, but in the last 3 weeks, it's been VERY nice!!! I'm pleased with how I've done. The fee's are a killer though, man, Ebay has raised the fee's a lot since the last time I sold anything......... Yikes!!! Do you sell??

Ahhhhh, Thanks!!!! I was just so excited, I had all my buyers pay right away, so when I did the balancing and paid fee's, etc..... I was very pleased with how well I'd done the past few weeks!!! SOOOOO, I added another night to our trip!!!! Yeah!! Yes, my oldest son just recently got engaged and DH and I decided to send them to WDW!!! Oh, I'd love a "daughter", I have 3 boys, my middle son is a sophomore in college and my little one is 6!!! I'm lucky though, my sister has 5 girls, so I can spoil them and still get "girly" stuff, but I don't have to LIVE the DRAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

You are sweet ~ I'll be sure to give a detailed trip report when we get home!!! Now, about that ADR???????????? Actually, I am thinking about Wolfgang Pucks at DD. The menu looks awesome!!

I can't believe we are almost 2 weeks out!! I just can't stand it anymore. I just called and ordered my DDE. They are going to have a temp card for me at Epcot so I hope that my card arrives before we get there because I don't want to have to run to Epcot to pick it up the first day we arrive.

LOL ~~ 10 days!!!!! 10 glorious fabulous days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, DS is so excited, he can't stand it, I told him when I picked him up from school today, Oh Lord, he was just yelling like a maniac!!! My middle son, who is back at school now, said, geez......... what about me, of course he forgets he went on a road trip with his friends to Canada for awhile over the summer!!! LOL, he really is NOT into Disney right now anyway.

Yeah, I certainly hope you get your card before you leave........... If not perhaps someone can bring it to the lodge so you don't have to go track it down??

AND.............. 2 weeks I can hardly believe it............ how long have we been planning this trip??? March? April?? Finally it's almost here!!! My sister is so upset the closer it gets, you remember they were suppose to come with us, then couldn't............ she's just heartsick that they couldn't go. Me too, it would've been fun. We are going back in Feb. so maybe if they have another deal like this past Feb. they can go?? Anyway, I'm babbling, I'm waiting for DH to get home from work...............

I took my mug back with me. I just went to AKL the end of July and am going back in November. Can I take my mug back with me or should I buy another one at the Mara. Just wondering what your opinion is. DH said to pack it and I feel a little weird about it. What to do???

I say pack it; you're under 6 months from the last trip and it's not like you're bringing it from a previous year....or worse yet, a different resort like some people do!

I know it's tempting, but I would buy a new one. It's a small price to pay for drinks your entire stay.

It was just for my coffee not one of the big ones. We are staying CL so my drinks are included anyway I was just wondering if it would be tacky to take that mug to the CL lounge. DH said who cares and I am like isnt that weird. I am gonna buy one of the bigger ones to have out by the pool next visit. Maybe that would help explain things better. It still feels a bit weird to me. Maybe I will take it and if other people are not using it for their morning coffee I will just leave that one in the room.

Hello everyone. I hope you don't mind me joining the party. I'm thrilled, happy and excited to be staying at the AKL with my husband dd 16 and ds 13 from Nov 30th to Dec 7th. I'm even more thrilled, happy and excited to have been able to apply a code to our existing reservation which saved us about $400! We are going to be staying in Savannah room and I can't wait! We've never stayed in a deluxe resort before.
Now, I have a question and I wonder if someone can help me. 95%(at least) of the reviews I've seen for this hotel have said it was wonderful especially the savannah views, but there a few that have said the savannah view wasn't that great and they would have a view of a dumpster or trucks coming in and out or something along those lines. Is this true? Does anyone know of any room numbers that might not be the best ones to get?

I'm sure every room is going to be fantastic and I know I am probably worrying needlessly but if I didn't worry... well I probably wouldn't be me! (it's what I do)

It is now just about 34 days until our first trip to AKL. I used to think I would never want to stay there, but recently had a change of heart. The discount code didn't hurt either. We are staying 8 nights and had planned on hitting the parks each day for a couple of hours. However, after reading this thread, it seems there are so many activities that I would be remiss not to schedule an off day just to spend at the lodge. What do think? Also, we have a pool view, not a savannah (saving some $ where I can). Will that be a mistake? What activities would my 2 year son enjoy? It the culinary tour still available? I would love to try that. Looking for suggestions.

Can't wait until 9/22!!!!

reggiemcp- my 18 month old had a great time at the arusha rock just looking out at the animals and the duck pond was just to the left. He was thrilled that he could feed the flamingos over by the pool and got a bead for this. In November we are going to make a point of hearing the stories by the firepit. Also the cookie decorating is at 1pm at Boma for the kids. We had a pool view on Zebra trail 2nd floor and the animal viewing area was just to the left of our room and we were so incredibly close to the animals. I would probably go to all the savannahs next time to check out each one. I too would like to do the culinary tour. Also my DH and I traded off in the hot tub while DS played on the playground, we could still see each other and we both got a little free time. Have fun you will love AKL.
