JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

I'm so glad I didn't miss too many updates (it is so hard catching up after being gone for even six days). Love your DHS morning and htat MM got to ride all her favorites. That is too funny about the Green Army man and looking at Jeff's muscles.

After seeing your update of Beaches and Cream, I am going to be sure Mark and I get there on our next trip (Mary, the kids and I never made it). It all looks so yummy.

I hear ya on the catching up after being gone...it can be a little daunting can't it!

I am so happy you're home safe and sound and can't wait to hear all about this latest adventure with Mary and the girls!

You and me both...I could actually ride it over and over and never get bored! Even tho it freaked Jasmine out, I really have fond memories of those first few trips as sick as that sounds

We are so excited about this upcoming trip! We love our family trips so much, but we also love just being the two of us...I know you completely understand that considering how close you and your wonderful mom are

Good Thursday morning everyone! Now that I have started our May PTR, I thought I better get going on this TR considering I still have seven days to post about! I thought we finished Mini Montana's birthday at Beaches and Cream but apparently the kids and I went back out that evening to DHS....to catch one of our favorite shows!

There is something about the lobby at AKL that I am in love with...I could have grabbed my book and sat down there every night just soaking up the atmosphere!

Jeff loved the lights that were on the ceilings by the elevators...they are pretty cool aren't they?

Our bus mojo continued as we rounded the corner the bus was just pulling up to the stop! We definitely had no complaints whatsoever this trip about the buses...we had the luck of the Irish! This is one of my favorite pictures of the trip...I don't know what it is about their faces and body language but I just know how excited they were about this evening and it showed!

It was still too early to get in line for Fantasmic so we wandered into my favorite store at DHS...Keystone Clothiers and I bought......NOTHING! I know, so much wrong with that, but I kept thinking "we'll be back, I'll look some more later", never did

Jeff was all about the PP's so here they are grabbing another one and I figured I might as well take one with my camera too!

The show was awesome but I put the camera away and just enjoyed it! My pictures don't normally turn out at Fantasmic and I really love the show so I decided I would just watch!

It was nuts when we were leaving but we leisurely walked to the bus and waited about a half an hour for a bus and went straight to bed when we got home! It was a wonderful day and evening!

Thank you One of my favorite shows on property...the music starts and it just brings me back to 1998 when we saw it for the first time and Jasmine cried thru the whole thing....

DHS has the best chocolate strawberries IMHO. I have had the ones at the carmel shop and a couple other places but I love the DHS ones the best!

You are gonna love staying there!! Did I post our room number? If you want it let me know and they you can request it...our view was awesome and even moreso we were super close to the elevators! That's always a plus after a long day in the parks!

That is disappointing! We don't see it every trip because of the wait time but when we do, I just have to enjoy it....it really is one of our favorites!

I am so happy we decided to go back it is a great show! I swear everyone was waiting for the show...it would have been a great evening to tour the park because there was literally no one there!

In my excitement about the new PTR...I forgot to come back to this one....still so very happy for you both!

I had some of those Chocolate Strawberries on our last trip. They are very tasty indeed!

Fantasmic is our favorite! Never miss it!

I like your idea of booking one of the diner packages.
The wait in the heat of August, all packed in like sardines is not one of my most favorite memories of the trip.

Hope everyone has had a great weekend so far...we sure have! We are having amazing weather this winter (can we even call it that) and to wake up to a beautiful blue morning sky...well there is nothing better! Spent Friday with Peg and the girls as they had an inservice that day and it was wonderful! Except for the fact that their furnace wasn't working and we were all huddled together with our jackets and blankets on waiting for the furnaceman to arrive! Once again we thanking our lucky stars that it wasn't -40C!!! That would not have been fun!

On with the TR! This brings us to August 28 and what would we be doing on this glorious day......NOTHING!!!! POOL DAY!! I was so looking forward to this "down" day you have no idea! I love laying by the pool and watching the world go by....my bff asked if I had packed some books to read by the pool .... read....by the pool....I'm far too busy watching other people to concentrate on reading Flipping thru a magazine is really the best that I can do...I only read on the plane

We had a bit of a sleepin as our first order of the day was breakfast at 1045am. Where were we going you ask!!!

Only our favorite breakfast restaurant of all times! BOMA! Even when we didn't stay at AKL, we always managed to book a breakfast and a dinner here! Pressed Pot of coffee anyone

We checked in and waited to be called! We were all surprised that it was still so busy considering the breakfast seating was almost over!

The beautiful staircase, but then again, what isn't gorgeous in this resort!

The rest of the family waiting to be seated...not really sure where Jas and Jeff were!

Peg, MM, and SW patiently waiting to get up and hit the buffet!

Jeff, Jasmine, me and Geodoc....we were more excited about the pressed pot of coffee and the juice right about now than we were eating!

My plate...and I was good, I only had one plate!

Jasmine's plate...she did good too, considering the majority of the time she eats like a bird! Between her and MM they couldn't get enough of the scrambled eggs with goat cheese and chives! I have to admit, they were beyond delicious! I think MM went back 3 or 4 times to get more!

Jeff's plate! How many plates did he have.....only 3!!! I know, right? Well apparently, he can eat 7 - 10 plates in the evening because he's worked up to that all day...but in the morning he has to pace himself....his words, not mine

B-Day cupcakes for both the girls! When Jasmine was little it was her favorite thing when we would go on vacation....ice cream for breakfast, chocolate croissants. etc....hey, you're on vacation, it's the one time the mama's can break all the rules!

One we were finished our yummy breakfast we all headed back up to the suite to change to get ready for the pool. We were having a very special Dis-meet at the pool today! Hypermommy was coming for a visit. Now, we have been friends on the Dis for a few years now and when we went to the World in Jan/Feb 2010 we met for the first time at DTD! I saw her checking her phone so the kids and I just went and stood in front of her...she looked up and gave me the biggest hug! It was like we had known each other for years! We proceeded down to the Margarita Bar, got ourselves each a cocktail and grabbed a table by the water! Before we knew it 3 hours had passed and the poor woman had to work the next day! After she left, Jasmine's then bf Thomas said he would never have believed that was our first time meeting, he thought we were childhood friends! How wonderful was that! So you can see why both Peg and I were so excited to see her, Peg and family met her after their first cruise I believe, also at DTD!

Here we are in the pool....Hypermommy is beside me! Oh, I forgot to tell you something! I am going to brag about my friend here for a little bit....You see, over the past year my dear friend has changed her life with diet and exercise...she has lost an amazing 130 pounds in a year and is now training for a marathon! She is such an inspiration to me, I can't even tell you! She has shown me that through hard work and determination, anything is possible! Thank you again D!!

The other lady in the picture is her friend who came along for the visit!

After a lovely visit by the pool, Peg, HM, and her friend all headed to DTD for some shopping....we stayed by the pool! Here are 3 of the 4 kids taking a break, but god forbid we should actually get out of the pool!

Where the CM's ran the pool games everyday, she was playing some pretty great music, no need for an Ipod today!

MM and Jeff....they were like glue when they were in the water! Jeff was getting a little annoyed at Jasmine because she wanted to tan and he wanted to play in the water! MM said, it's ok Jeff, I'll stay in with you! Like she was doing him a big favour!

Drinks by the pool....one of my favorite pasttimes while here!

I love this shot...they were having so much fun!

It was finally time to head back up to the room to get ready for our evening out! Here are some of the souvenirs that I bought: Villians hoodie for moi, bracelet that Jasmine bought, notepad for the fridge, nemo keychain for a girl at work, polo for my dad and the Piglet pin for my bff's daughter Kayla!

I failed at my attempts to loose weight last year so this year I am back to trying again.
