JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

Just joining in. I was along for your last TR for your mother/daughter trip. Didn't realize you had another trip coming up! Looking forward to updates.

Such a thoughtful gift! We've never been to Raglan Road, but it definitely looks like it is worth checking out! Can't wait for you to get to Magic Kingdom.

What an awesome "welcome" gift from Tanz that you received. :goodvibes

I am so excited after reading your review of Raglan Road. This is our first dinner this year and we have never been. You have me super excited.

I love all the pics of you guys.

Wait.....Raglan Road has a dip for bread that is made from Guinness and honey?! I soooo have to go now!

The food looks really good I still haven't been there, but it's on my list now for sure.

Glad you had a great time at Raglan Road. Pooksma and I ate there a few years ago and the food was good but our server left a lot to be desired. Our table was in a bad spot as well. They let people stand in between us and the band that was playing.

Still, I would go back and give it another shot.

Sorry I'm so late! I've been insanely busy with college life! Loving the updates so far! The food looks AMAZING!

What a nice gift!! great pics of all of u and the yummy food!! Trip is off to a good start!!

How did Geodoc get his DISname?

Ok MEK, here's the story behind my DISname......i needed to come up with a username for twitter, so I combined my hobby of Geocaching with what I do for a living and geodoc was created! (I know not that exciting) for those wanting to know more about Geocaching you can PM me or read about it on Purplepegs first trip report! To anyone on twitter... I'm geodoc99.....and now back to the TR!

Yay! Great update. The food looks wonderful and how sweet of Tanz to send that! Can't wait to read about your first full day at my favorite place! Bring on the castle pics!!!

I still haven't been to RR. It is on the list of places to go. The night my friends and I went to Bongos, we tried for RR but it was booked and now I wish we would have tried to get a walk-in at RR since Bongos was horrible!! I love the basket :)

:lovestruc Raglan Road :lovestruc I absolutely love that raspberry dessert too! So light but SO good. Did you see any of the dancers while you were there? What a great way to start the trip!

Looks like you feel the same way as we do about RR...and yes that dessert is :cloud9:

The food looks so delicious!!! :cloud9:
We didn't eat at Raglan Rd but I did walk through to use the washroom!!:rotfl2:

That was so sweet of Tanz to send you the basket!! :thumbsup2

Hope you're enjoying your Saturday! DH and I are off to The Riverstone Spa for massages this afternoon and then dinner at "Stepn Out" in honor of our 27th anniversary which was just on thursday!!

It was such a wonderful surprise! I am hoping for the Magic Kingdom update to be done at sometime tomorrow:rolleyes1

What an awesome "welcome" gift from Tanz that you received. :goodvibes

Awesome is right! Kathy, I'm so excited that you'll be trying RR...I really think you'll love it!

Wait.....Raglan Road has a dip for bread that is made from Guinness and honey?! I soooo have to go now!

The food looks really good I still haven't been there, but it's on my list now for sure.

I wanted a dish of it all to myself, but the rest of them wanted to dip too:confused3 Next time, I'm asking for more:goodvibes Can't wait until you try it and then you'll have to let me know what you think!!!!

Glad you had a great time at Raglan Road. Pooksma and I ate there a few years ago and the food was good but our server left a lot to be desired. Our table was in a bad spot as well. They let people stand in between us and the band that was playing.

Still, I would go back and give it another shot.

A server can absolutely make or break your meal, that's for sure! Maybe if we're all there again at the same time, we could have a meal together at RR!!

Sorry I'm so late! I've been insanely busy with college life! Loving the updates so far! The food looks AMAZING!

Deva...I knew you have been a busy girl! Glad you're here now!!

What a nice gift!! great pics of all of u and the yummy food!! Trip is off to a good start!!

It sure was a nice gift wasn't it? Everything was going exactly according to plan:thumbsup2

Yay! Great update. The food looks wonderful and how sweet of Tanz to send that! Can't wait to read about your first full day at my favorite place! Bring on the castle pics!!!

Isn't she a sweetie? Castle pics coming up....we can never have too many of those can we:rolleyes1

I still haven't been to RR. It is on the list of places to go. The night my friends and I went to Bongos, we tried for RR but it was booked and now I wish we would have tried to get a walk-in at RR since Bongos was horrible!! I love the basket :)

So Bongo's not so good? I'll remember that because we always like to try a new restaurant and I was impressed when I was checking the menu...good to know....gone off the list! I loved it too:love:

Bongos is good if you like overpriced mexican food passed off as cuban food. I mean, it's good for the type of food. But it's way overpriced, overcrowded, and very very noisy.

What a wonderful first day...but a long one, no wonder you decided to pass on the shopping.

That limo looked awesome, what a great way to start the trip off in style :thumbsup2 Glad that apart from a spilled drink the flights were mostly uneventful - unless you count the crazy dog lady at the airport :rotfl2:

That room is absolutely gorgeous, and with a savannah view even better :woohoo:

The meal at RR looked so yummy...I won't mention to Jean that they have Guiness flavoured sauces or she will want to add it to our Nov. plans - she developed a bit of a taste for Guiness after our visit to the storehouse in Dublin last summer :rolleyes1

Joining in, sounds like you had a very fun trip! Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

This is what arrived at the door! Isn't it beautiful? I know you're all wondering who it was from so I won't keep you in suspense any longer.....Tanzunited99...yup, she's a sweetie!!!

Very nice! But (case you were wondering) I guessed wrong on who it was from.

The time was inching closer and closer to our ADR time so we headed down to the bus.

I LOL when I saw this pic. When I look at Jeff, he looks like he's trying to be cool and calm on the outside... but on the inside is this little kid jumping up and down screaming, "Let's GO!" :lmao:

Our destination....Raglan Road! We love this restaurant and when we travel with Peg and family, it's more often than not our first restaurant we eat at!

Never been there, but I've certainly heard many people say good things about it.

Jasmine and Jeff were "starving to death" so they decided to split an appetizer! They got the spring rolls and said they were delicious which I thought they must be because in my opinion, Jeff's mom makes the best spring rolls I have ever had...I could eat them by the dozen:rolleyes1

Umm... the next time she makes some... can I come over? :rolleyes1

Jeff had the hamburger and he was more than impressed...he said it was the best burger he's had in a long time and this boy eats burgers:lmao: Once again, the signture thumbs up!

I love a good burger, just one more reason to try Raglan Road! :)

We had every intention of shopping when we were finished eating, but our early morning flight changed our plans...we were all exhausted and decided the best thing to do was catch the bus and head back "home". We had had a wonderful start to our trip and what would our next day hold....MAGIC KINGDOM...of course.

Can't wait! :goodvibes

What a beautiful basket!

Raglan Road looks delicious! The fish and chips looked really really good.

I hope next week at work isn't so busy for you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Bongos is good if you like overpriced mexican food passed off as cuban food. I mean, it's good for the type of food. But it's way overpriced, overcrowded, and very very noisy.

That's a great explanation...yup, don't think we'll be going there anytime soon! There are too many great restaurants to choose from:thumbsup2

What a wonderful first day...but a long one, no wonder you decided to pass on the shopping.

LARA:hug:so happy you're here! The limo was amazing, too bad we only get about 10 minutes in it, but hey, the price is right!!

That is too funny....Jean would love that dipping stuff for lack of better terminiology:lmao: Just wondering....will we be enjoying a TR from you after your November trip:woohoo:I hope so:yay:

:wave2:Welcome, so happy to have you with us!!

Very nice! But (case you were wondering) I guessed wrong on who it was from.

Wasn't it? There was another delivery a few days later and on that one, I think you absolutely know who it was from:lmao:

I LOL when I saw this pic. When I look at Jeff, he looks like he's trying to be cool and calm on the outside... but on the inside is this little kid jumping up and down screaming, "Let's GO!" :lmao:

He was trying to be calm but we all knew how excited he was!! Thank goodness we didn't have a long wait for the bus!

Never been there, but I've certainly heard many people say good things about it.

It's one of those places that would be great for a dismeet...now just to get us all there at the same time:rolleyes1

Umm... the next time she makes some... can I come over? :rolleyes1

Definitely!! They really are delicious and we dip them in that Thai Chili sauce.....:cloud9:

I love a good burger, just one more reason to try Raglan Road! :)

I'm with you...nothing better than a good burger:worship:
Can't wait! :goodvibes

What a beautiful basket!

Raglan Road looks delicious! The fish and chips looked really really good.

I hope next week at work isn't so busy for you. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

So thoughtful and so beautiful...I would absolutely use that service! Jasmine said the fish and chips was delicious!! She's our fish connisseur!

We are having a great weekend....and I think next week will be much better!

I'm falling behind again!:scared1:

That happens so easily doesn't it!! Hope you're enjoying your weekend!
