JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

I have a confession to make, it wasn't photobucket at all, it was me and my silly laptop....somehow Java wasn't loaded anymore so I couldn't upload anything! Problem fixed and ready to go.....

Oh, sure. Blame the poor voiceless laptop.
Okay, technically, it has a speaker so it has a 'voice'. But you know what I mean!

We didn't quite make it for the opening song on dance today but we were all getting a little weary and getting up everyday early was beginning to prove to be a challenge! The kids at the front...the crowds were next to nothing on this day, it was fantastic!

Heck. If you can sleep in and still not have crowds.

Now, with my difficulities with Photobucket this morning, these next few are out of order,

but I was too frustrated to go back in and change them so just pretend they're in order....ok...thanks friends!

The sign for the halloween party which we would unfortunately miss. Jasmine and I have done it a few times and just love it but Peg is a non-believer in taking her kiddies out of school so they'll probably next get to do it

We took the DDs out to go to MNSSHP and it was sooooo worth it!

Peg and her family! Because of the low crowds we decided we were going to have a relaxing morning and just take what came at us.

Oooohhh. Relaxing day at Disney. What's that like?

One of the front windows of the confectionary! We decided to pop in here because at the end of the day, it's a mad house!

Love the confectionary. Did you know that a study was done and it is scientifically impossible to exit the confectionary (once entered, of course) and not buy something?

Okay, so I did the study...

... and it was on myself...

but still. I'm sure I'm not in the minority here!

Couldn't walk by this view without grabbing a picture of my beloved castle!

Love the way you say 'my' beloved castle. I just got a mental image from Finding Nemo. You know the one with the gulls all going: "Mine!" "Mine!" "Mine!"

The kids wanted another picture of them in front of my beloved castle!

The Peoplemover and the infamous foot shot ...

I wonder who was the first one to take that shot... or more importantly, who had the courage, or lack thereof, to post it.

Jasmine's favorite ride....NOT! Jeff did enjoy it though and as you can see from the pictures, I actually stayed awake thru the whole thing this time!

Atta girl! But I haven't seen a thumbs up from Jeff in a while.

Not quite sure how I missed this update, but apparently I did. And it was another great one with lots of wonderful pictures of everyone.

WOW - can't believe how empty the MK was. This WAS August, right? It really looks cool to see empty stores.

I am a fan of CoP. There's something so likeable about it. And the foot shot goes without saying.

I couldn't believe the crowds this year either....we were feeling pretty darn lucky! I love it when you can actually browse around the stores and look without it being mobbed! Just love it!

I'm back, I'm back!! Sorry for the long absence.

I'm glad that you liked Forbidden Journey! It is like that the first time you go on. It's overwhelming, and then intense, and then you cringe, and you close your eyes! Absolutely crazy.

I hadn't been on Jurassic Park in forever. And then Chris and I went on it in November, and I was like. That's it? So underwhelming at that point!

Love Bubba Gump! We're fortunate enough to have one in Chicago. Yum yum.

As long as your back that's all that matters

You summed up the FJ perfectly...I felt all of those things and I know whenever I get the change to ride it again, I'll feel them all over again

JP was a little underwhelming but Jeff screamed like a little girl so that was our entertainment once again

How lucky for you....I really did enjoy the food and our server was just a sweetie!

It's such a relaxing way to spend a little time out of the sun and humidity that's for sure! We love it....well, except for a certain young lady in our group

I last left you with Peg and I on the Peoplemover and everyone else on Space Mountain! It was perfect timing as everyone seemed to be done at the same time and when Peg and I saw them all coming towards us we knew exactly where my two would be going and apparently Jasmine has saw what we did!

The line was forming for Buzz Lightyear....and Jeff was like a 5 year old! I can just hear all the shock you are feeling right now...Jeff feeling like a 5 year old...couldn't be! Does this picture tell you he was a little excited! I think at one point while they were waiting it was touch and go if Jasmine was going to stay in line with him because he kept jumping up and down and Peg and I couldn't stop laughing. Geodoc had decided to take the girls on Buzz so we were just hanging out waiting for the Big Guy to make his appearance.

Does this boy look happy or what? All he kept saying after was "I should have bought the hoodie, he would have been so proud of me"...the girls were hysterical with how excited Jeff had been to see his childhood hero! I've said it more than once and I'll continue to say it....you cannot buy memories like these!

After Jeff was done with his main man, it was off to see how the construction was going in Fantastyland.....Beast's Castle....cannot wait for this to open

I remember when this was Mrs Pott's Cupboard and they had the best strawberry shortcake ice cream thingy (yes it's really a description of heavenly goodness) and it was a must stop for us while sauntering thru Fantasyland

It was time for some inside time so we headed here....we all love this show and Jeff couldn't wait to see it again...I think even MM sat with him this time around! No fear of him screaming in this one

After that we headed to IASW...and I tormented the boy yet again! He kept saying...well what kind of ride is it and all of us kept saying just wait and see.

When we got on and the boat started to sail away...I told him that at first the dolls seem cute and adorable but halfway through the ride they change....I said "ummm, think Chucky from Child's Play" this was the reaction Jasmine captured as I told him.....I crack myself up!

Then Jasmine said "ok everyone, let's think of Grandma and she took this in memory of our mom....is she the sweetest kid or what! I may have shed a tear at this point....

Jeff told me he wasn't going to believe anything I said after that....silly boy, doesn't he know me by now? We continued wandering around and decided to head back to Frontierland/Adventureland! By this point Geodoc needed a break so he headed back to the hotel and we all decided to stay a while longer!

Going on POTC! No playing with Jeff on this one since we'd already ridden it

Oh...look who was waiting for me to get off....my handsome man!!

The girls decided they wanted to get their hair.....banded, is that the right term.....wrapped that's it wrapped so Jas and Jeff went back to ride SM and BTMRR while we waited for the girl's turn. When what to my wandering eye did appear.....yup my boyfriend in real life (or a close second)

This is beyond hilarious and there was the cutest little boy who was maybe 2 1/2 and he was right into it....Capt Jack could hardly keep a straight face....pure enjoyment!

Great way to spend the time while the girls were finishing up!

Then we decided we should probably head back to the resort to get ready to go for dinner! Not before a tasty little treat tho....yummy stuff at this place!!!

We all have to let our 5 year old selves come out to play sometimes. I'm glad that Jeff was able to and meet Buzz Lightyear. Although I do agree. He should have gotten the hoodie.

I don't remember the crowds being so low for us but I think I may have been preoccupied with the hurricane in NY & our home But, I do remember that Captain Jack! I think he was sooo good & cute! Yeah! All caught up on this report too! We were on vacation the same exact time you were, minus a few days. I honestly don't remember the crowd levels being so low, but I may have been a bit preoccupied with the Hurrican in NY & our house But, I do remember that specific Captain Jack, he was so good & cute! He had picked DD for 1 show & she fell in love with him, so much so we had to look for him for the rest of our stay Dh even commented on all of the photos I took of him when we got home...ooops!

Meeting Buzz Lightyear sounds like fun. We've never met him, but Jeff's enthusiasm is a strong recommendation. I bet Carter and Landon would act like they were 2 or 3 years old.

I love your description of It's a Small World. That's actually the only Disney ride that my boys are scared of.

My dh (twice Jeff's age) still acts giddy around Chip and Dale. It is too adorable since he is so unemotional most other times (except when sports teams are losing...)

You could have really come up with a fun description of what happens on the People Mover if you had the time...and when we go into this dark area...

I think both you and Jasmine are going to miss Jeff on this next trip!!!

Our weather got a bit cold today. Of course now that I am thinking of it, you posted in Celcius - so I have no idea what your weather has been like... We were 50 F today but should be 70 F tomorrow.

Poor Jeff, has no idea everyone is just messing with him! That would be hilarious to just keep telling a newbie to "wait and see" what happens next on IaSW.

Isn't he funny! He keeps us in stitches although I know sometimes the way Jasmine looks at him she wants to smack him and that makes me laugh even more!

We really did luck in with the crowds...we picked our park days very carefully that's for sure!

That's where I got the idea from, The Kingdom Keeper books....it just popped into my head at the last second and I had to run with it!

There were moments throughout our trip where we really felt she was with us and this was one of those moments for her!
