JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

It's been WAAAAAAY too long since I've been on here. I beg your forgiveness. My only excuse is with Thanksgiving, then the cruise, then Christmas, and the new job... well, life has been just a bit busy. But that's no excuse for me neglecting my friends, especially when they're as wonderful as y'all!!!!

Oh, before I start reading, just to prove you have been in my thoughts, I'll share a picture I took while in Honduras and thinking of you:

Hi Queen!! Between you, Hypermommy and myself, we are doing pretty good. lol at least we make time for this once in awhile.

Or at least try, right? ;-) Glad to see I'm not the only one who's stupid busy these days.

Love Jeff's bit about takin credit for the animals on the safari being so close. You know who that sounds like, right?

Okay, I'll try to be better about getting on more often, but no promises. And where are those furniture pictures? LOL

Oh, and finally... quit loving us here in Florida so much that you send your artic air this way. We don't want it!!!!!! Take it back!!!!!!!!!!!

Great update. Love all the safari pictures. The Dinosaur ride picture is awesome. I think it's hilarious you said it was a quiet documentary.

Furniture pics are loaded and will be up as soon as I finish replying to all my pals! Congrats too...I know I said it on FB, but I am so proud of you, you can't even imagine! The fact that you lost what 130 pounds this year (is that number correct, I think close) you are an inspiration to me! I was thinking of you this morning as I was hauling my butt around the track but I am back to it and plan on succeeding this year come %^&& of high water!!

Here is the long awaited furniture picture update And since I made you wait so long I thought I would throw in a couple of other pictures too!

First off I thought you might like to see a couple of our ornaments:

Jasmine bought me this a few trips ago and it's one of my favorites...it's quite heavy but absolutely beautiful!

Now the story behind this ornament....Jasmine was absolutely terrified of Cruella when she was little and at that time we had a sectional with huge pillows on it. She would sit in the middle and hide behind two of the pillows watching 101 Dalmations....I would often say "Why do you want to watch it if she scares you so much and her reply would be Because I yike it Mommy...cracks me up to this day

My baby girls 7th christmas picture....oh how time flies!

Now most of you know that we live in the Great White North...well this year the White part of it has been scarce....when it actually snowed I thought I better take a pic! This is our back yard....

....and this one is looking across the street!

Ok...another trip down recent memory lane....remember when I ordered the Hey's luggage for this trip and it never arrived so I cancelled the order. Look at what my darling daughter bought as one of my gifts.....It's the large suitcase by Hey's ... the Disney Princess Collection....as you can see she gave it to me early as it's still the old furniture in the background! I love it and can't wait to use it!

Now onto Christmas....we spent Christmas Eve at my BFF's as this is going to be one of our new traditions. Both Brenda and I have lost our mom's, Brenda's sister lives in Edmonton so we decided every Christmas we are going to spend a day together....just the two families. Here's a shot of the girls under the tree! Kayla is holding her one of her gifts from us...Dumbledore's wand that we picked up for her in IOA...she is a HP fanatic so loved this!

Brenda Jasmine (with Abby on her lap...isn't she just the cutest and such a great dog) and Kayla....Eric was busy setting up their new TV in the basement and I guess we never took anymore pics once these were done

The best gift Jasmine and I got this year....tickets to see our beloved Winnipeg Jets! We never miss a game on TV but with the MTS Centre sold out for every game we knew TV was the only way we would see them...until Geodoc and Peg gave us their tickets for a game! See the day of this particular game, they will be on their way to The Beaches Resort in Turks and Caicos with the girls for a week! Loved that they gave the tix to us and we can't wait to go.....we will definitely be posting pictures after!!

The girls dancing to MM's new dance thingy for the WII...I was cracking up...they had an absolute ball....SW wanted nothing to do with the dancing...I guess that what going on 12 is!

MM working on her quilt that she got for Christmas and SW on her Ipod Touch!

Sometimes Photobucket makes me crazy...this picture should have been first considering it was from our birthday's in October. We went to The Keg for Jasmine, Eric's (my bff's hubby) and my birthday....great evening with old friends!

The furniture!!! Still haven't figured out what I am doing with the wall where the tree is but I do have a picture for it, just not sure what else to do......

I absolutely love it and am completely happy that Jasmine convinced me it was the right choices! I can make decisions at work in a heartbeat, but when I have to live with the choice for at least 10 years, makes me a little nervous! I hope you enjoyed this real life update....next up will be another fun filled day at Disney!

Hate to tell you but our hockey tickets were nicer than yours. We were thinking of you all at the game the other night. We took this picture for you guys.

What an amazing gift that suitcase is, I had no idea that Hey's has a disney collection but what an awesome surprise it must have been after having to cancel your previous order.

How exciting that you guys are going to get to see a Jet's game, i'm sure you will have an awesome time.

The furniture looks great, and I love the two wall plaques you have on the back wall with the sayings about Paris and such..they look amazing with the new furniture.

She bought it at Winners so you should try TJ Maxx (Winners is the Cdn equivalent)...Belle is the 30", Cinderella is the 26" and Aurora is the carry on....they are all gorgeous!!

That picture turned out great....I'll have to see how mine turn out when we're there! Everyone talks about the volume of the fans at the games and I can't wait to hear it....

I bought those at Home Sense...and I love them....two of my dream destinations! Have been to Paris but not New York...the print for the other wall is the canals in Venice Italy. I've been there too so the only place I have to get to now is New York!! Trip of a lifetime!

I can't have enough paris things since I love paris so much!!

I love the throw blanket on the couch and all your disney ornaments on the tree!!
I have a number of Disney ornaments too!!

I know exactly what you mean about making a decision on a big purchase and knowing you have to live with it for the next 10 years! My kids tease me about that too!! But easy for them, when they are not the ones paying!!

p.s. also.... Canadian Tire has really nice dark brown leather parsons chairs on sale this week for $48.00. I bought one to put at my front door. They are really nice quality. Maybe something like that would be nice in that corner when you take your tree down and the dark brown leather will match the rest of the furniture!! Check them out anyway!!

Great update Queen!! Too funny your picture with the Jets tickets! That is how we felt when we found out our beloved team was returning to Winnipeg!! We were lucky enough to split 2 seats with 3 other couples so fortunately we have tickets to 11 games - however after the kids each got their hands on a couple, and good friends begged for a game, we were not left with as many as we would like. But the alternative of not being able to attend any would have devastated us!!

Funny thing about DISSING with someone from your own city (not alot of us around here in Winnipeg). Jasmine's friend Kayla taught at my daughter's dance studio for years. My girls both quit dance last year so I don't get to see her smiling face anymore but she certainly was a bright spot in the studio!! Miss seeing her.

Looking like we are heading to Florida in March so your TR will need to keep me Disnified until then. (if that is even such a word)

Great suitcase! I saw an awesome Heys suitcase at TJMaxx. It was navy with Mickey heads in blue, orange, and white. If they had yours, (and I was buying) I would have had a hard time deciding!

Your room looks terrific! I especially love the pictures. I am so happy you are happy with your choices! I completely understand the difficulty in making that decision! It's hard when you are looking at a long commitment and not an option to jsut run it back to the the store.

Thanks for the real life update. Looks like you guys had a happy Christmas. Love all the Disney ornaments, especially the castle one!

Your new furniture looks very nice and comfortable. (That's how I judge good furniture. I want it to be comfy.) I smiled when I saw the Disney picture frame on your wall, because I have one just like it, except mine is just the single 5x7". I love the Mickey heads on each corner.

I am glad you're getting that little bit of snow and not me! That's too cold for me! Brrrr.
