Hi Queen!! Happy Belated New Year!!
This is my first time on in awhile, always seems to be something keeping me away. I love all the pics, your furniture is amazing and is making me think its time to get new stuff. Especially when I keep reading about the 10 yr reference...lol mine is older than that!! The pic on Dinosaur was too funny. Always good to have some ammunition, you should post that on his facebook if he has one. Love the pics of all the girls, so pretty!!!
I am all caught up now, take your time so I don't fall too far behind.

Thanks, I am so happy with everything we choose and I'm not sick of it yet which is a good things I should have posted that on his facebook....just the thought of his friends seeing it makes me laugh!

Love the new furniture and your christmas decorations! I loved seeing your favortie ornaments because they reminded me of some ornaments that we have in my house

I actually thought of you guys the other day because we were eating in the mexico counter service place by the lagoon and there were a ton of birds flying all over the place and it made me think of your story about Jeff and the birds.

So happy to see you again!

Ornaments are great aren't they, I love the memories they hold! That's so funny that you were thinking of us and Jeff with the birds....it was priceless!

Where do the days and weeks go....I always seem to be playing catch up and now I've caught a devil of a cold .... basically feeling all kinds of gross! The real bummer of that is Jasmine and I have our first Jet's game of the season tonight and I wish I felt a little better! Oh well, gonna suck it up and have a blast anyways...it's probably the only one we'll be at this year!

Back to the TR....which finds just the kids and I heading to DTD for the evening a little shopping...you all know how I love my shopping at the World!

Arriving at the best shopping facility on Earth IMO!

We decided we would eat before the restaurants got too crazy and we were torn between EOS and WPE .... this is what we finally decided on!

Jasmine and Jeff both got this...and I have to say the portions were much smaller than last year. Last summer, Jasmine and I splite the chicken caesar salad and we couldn't finish it, this year I was still hungry when I was finished

My salad....still yummy and it did leave room for a visit to......

The best ice cream place ever! Jasmine and I split the Strike it Rich Sundae...Jeff....ate.....nothing!!! His willpower amazes me! It was a beautiful evening to sit outside and have our ice cream! We were in no hurray to get back to the hotel so we did DTD at a leisurely pace!

After our ice cream and dinner we headed straight to the World of Disney store where Jeff found this....

He was repeatedly saying "To Infinity and Beyond" .... he didn't end up buying it and when we were waiting for out connecting flight in Chicago a guy went by with it on and Jeff turned to Jasmine and said "see, I should have bought it" to which she replied "did I say not to you were the one that said your friends would make fun of you"

This would have been so much better if he had bought the jacket

For those of you who have followed our past TR's you know that I have taken a picture of Jasmine here every year since she was 6...guess this will be the new tradition! I love this picture!

Two crazy kids on the bus....faces only a mother could love

Jeff played with this every time we walked thru the gift shop, which was everyday...he thought it was cool and was trying to do his best impression of being tough

Headed back up to our room and was greeted by another wonderful package from our dear friends in Michigan Dawn and Caitlin (Dawnbu40 and Princesscaitlin). Included in our package was coffee (which was soooooo good), chocolate sauce (Jasmine polished that off in no time) loose tea, a mug from Michigan...so thoughtful of them and we loved everything! I loved the fact that everything in the package was from Michigan! Thanks again ladies.... Dawn was kind enough to send it to the hotel because it was quite heavy and she didn't want us to have to carry it around the morning we were to have our Dis-meet!

I'm sorry to hear you aren't feeling well! I have had Bronchitis for over a week and have felt miserable myself. I hope you are still able to enjoy your game!

It's too bad WPE is cutting their portion sizes. That pasta does look good though!

Jeff is too cute in that hoodie! We were tempted by those too but Caitlin ended up buying the Mickey one.

We were glad you enjoyed the goodies from the Mitten. That hot fudge sauce is our guilty pleasure. Sanders has little ice cream shops and they serve that over a cream puff stuffed with vanilla ice cream. It is to die for!

Shopping at DTD is definitely one of my favorite things to do! And eating at WPE. I had noticed though that they changed the recipe on their macaroni and cheese, which is such a bummer! I loved it when it was atomic orange.

Jeff should have totally gotten the Buzz hoodie. Who cares if his friends would make fun of him. That would mean that his friends are lame.

I've never been to DTD at night, but it looks like a fun and easy-going time to visit. Your salad at WPE looks delicious, but it's disappointing that the portion size shrunk. With salad, you need a lot to fill up.

Carla!!! So great to see you again my friend I am going to be off work for three weeks starting Wednesday and have every intention of getting caught up on my Dis-ing!

Our trip was magical and I have another post in the process so will be up in a couple of hours!

I just finished reading about your first day...a few comments:

The limo looked Amaaaazing
Yay for the upgrade, your room looked incredible

The MK is a great start, love that you sing . I never got to post it as my ex and I broke up and I was sad talking about it but...we were actually picked to open the park one time and they just had us enter from the depot rather than ride in from the train...it was still the most magical experience of our lives!
Lastly, I loved the pool shots and dinner...looks like a fabulous trip so far!

Going back to read more now, enjoy your time off!!

WPE is my favorite at Downtown Disney. But, I've never tried Earl of Sandwich. Earl is on our list for our next trip.

Me too....I dream about shopping at DTD, I like to scope it out on arrival day either before or after dinner at Raglan Road! It makes me mad when people who don't "get" Disney ask, "What could you need from there, you've been so many times" They miss so much not believing in the magic

We have found that the best time to go to DTD is on an evening when it's raining....there is no one there, or at least that has been our experience! First thing in the morning is wonderful too, we go early enough to have breakfast at WPE then hit the stores at a leisurely pace!

Such a great game...Geodoc, Peg and the girls left yesterday for Turks and Caicos so I was texting him from the game thanking him profusely for the tickets!

Which is probably one more than I'll see!

I have heard the trick to getting tickets is to be at the box office the day before a game at around 11am as that's when the tickets the players don't use go up for sale....that's what I've heard so it might be worth a shot?

No! You? Shopping? I don't believe it.

The limo was amazing...such a treat and so affordable believe it or not! Our room was like home away from home...love having the kitchen and all having breakfast together every mornind and we would discuss the plans for the day...it was heaven!

I remember that and how sad I was for you....but how great that you have the memories of opening the park....weed out all the other bad memories and hold onto the good ones!

I think I have exactly the same thing as you Mary Ellen....yuck! I love that picture too...we had such a great evening there!! I hate the shrinking portions too....I still think WPE is a great value but not as good as before

We couldn't have asked to be at a better game....during the shootout Jasmine kept grabbing my leg and stating she couldn't take the pressure anymore We went down early and had dinner at Tavern United then walked across at 430pm when the doors opened. I wanted to take in every second of being there! The seats were amazing ....2 out of the 3 periods we had the Panthers goal in front of us so we saw alot of action considering we out shot them 2 to 1 Then came overtime...what a nailbiter...then the shootout! around us we had a young girl and her dad were to Jasmine's left and I had a couple to my right who were so nice! Behind us were some other couples a little older than me I would say (in their 50's). When it came time for the shootout of course everyone in front of us stood up which we did too...it's a shootout for crying out loud, get outta your seats!! This lady behind the lady beside me got mad at her for standing....I just turned to the lady beside me and said If she wanted to sit thru the whole game she should have stayed home on her couch! Way too exciting to sit!! Had a blast and hopefully we'll get to another game in the future!

I do believe they did have them in kid sizes but I think it was at the Emporium we saw them....don't remember seeing them at DTD!

Yay DTD!!!!!! I didn't spend a ton of time there this trip but i am excited because i did get 2 spend more time than usual there. I actually saw a ton of people in those buzz sweatshirts when I was there, and funnily enough most of them were young men. I never saw them in the shops though.
