I LOVE your favors and your wedding band! Just gorgeous!!
Thank you so much!!!
Jackie sweetie - Great fun about the dancing lessons!!
Thanks! Chris is such a good sport!
Yay I love catching up on your planning! I am totally with you on huge weddings...how do people do it??? As you know I had a ton of family (and other ugh) drama and I only had 18 guests. Not sure what is wrong with people, it's like they all want to do what they want to do instead of what you NEED them to do. Just rest assured everything will work out and your wedding will be beautiful!
I -love- reading about your wedding too. Everything was just perfect.
I think you will be happy with dance lessons! We didn't really prepare, other than practicing a few times in the living room. Throughout the dance I kept thinking "when is this going to be over? This is the longest three minutes of my life!"
Ha! More about dance lessons below, but I am overall glad we're doing it.
The dance lessons sound like so much fun!

I think you should get the Cinderella necklace.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to order the teardrop Cinderella necklace and earrings from weddingish.com. Their prices seem pretty good, too.
Ack! I am so glad you posted about weddingish.com! I thought I found a really good price on the Cinderella necklace... but it was from a Canadian site!

And they don't ship to the USA! Darnit!

So, apparently I haven't updated in FOREVER, which is bizarre for me. But, from today, we are TWO MONTHS AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you all as excited as I am?!? (Okay, probably not. But probably at least a LITTLE excited, right?
I had my second and, apparently, final fitting (assume I don't lose/gain any weight... which means I have to be careful around Christmas cookies this year; which shouldn't be too big of a deal because we're not going home for Christmas) yesterday and the dress fits
perfectly. Absolutely perfectly. She was huge in the bust, but now she is just right. I think I might go get one of those super miracle bras from VS though, just for fun... but we'll see.
Anyway, here's a picture!
And, of course, a side view. What is up with my awkward smile??
The seamstress also put a very simple, one tie bustle, but I think it really works for this dress. If you fluff it out, you can't even tell that there is a bustle!
She told me I could get a flower or something to put where the little bow is, or you can tuck the bow in or just leave it... but I kind of like it! What do you all think? (Also, please ignore the little bit of back fat there.
Fluffed up bustle: see what I mean! It looks invisible!
Anywho, I am really happy with it AND the price. (Cost for alterations: less than $100!) The seamstress is also taking in my pretty blue dress and adding some boning to it. She's also storing my dress at her shop, which is great because my closet is not big enough for her! (Yes, I refer to my dress as though she is a person.) I just can't wait to wear it.
Okay, for this next part:
Bridesmaids, quickly scroll by this part!
Awhile ago, I bought sweatpants with the intent of having Amanda embroider them for myself and bridesmaids. They turned out so well!
I know, aren't you all surprised I gave the Matron of Honor Belle? That's true friendship right there.

And my MOH isn't really into Disney, but she loves vintage things and the 1940's and she's classy, so I decided her favorite princess was Snow White. I'm also waiting for my iron on transfers to come in the mail so I can make our t-shirts, and I need to find a black hoodie for myself.
Bridesmaids, you can read again!
Speaking of bridesmaids, I have no idea if my FSIL has her dress. She told me she called Alfred Angelo and they were rude to her, but that's all I know. I don't think she has it yet--- and I know they send dresses back if they don't get picked up within 2 weeks. FSIL was supposed to call me on Thursday (we set up a time for it and everything) but she blew me off. I'm pretty annoyed, but also becoming blase about it... if she doesn't have her dress, then she can't walk down the aisle. I live 1000 miles away; I certainly can't go get her dress for her! She's going through a lot right now, but... well, everyone is. I don't mean to sound insensitive, but I haven't had her do a single thing for the wedding besides choose a dress--- I even ordered it for her, remember. If she can't go get a dress, there is nothing I can do about it.
Okay, sorry about that. Rant over!
Also, Becky's dress and sash are in and she is SUPPOSED to be trying them on together soon, so I should have a picture of that relatively soon.
Look what else came in--- my Jane Austen tea! I'm working on assembling the favor boxes and tags, and I'll post pictures of it all together when I'm done:
Almost all of our RSVPs are in too; we're just waiting on two: Chris's BIL and his dad. We're pretty sure his dad isn't coming, and BIL is still "undecided." He still has to find money for a plane ticket and hotel room and yadda yadda yadda... so, I guess for the time being we'll mark him down as coming, but I truly don't think it will happen. But we'll see. It looks like our final guest count, including DF and I, is 20/21, so we're basically an Escape wedding!
As for everything else, our dance lessons have been going well--- we're getting pretty good, if I do say so myself! However, I am pretty irritated with our dance studio. We go to Fred Astaire, and after every lesson they give us a high pressure sales pitch! The lessons are NOT cheap, and they have tried to sell us entrance to a dance competition (at $40 per 3 minute dance and they wanted us to do 6 of them), a $25 practice CD (who pays more than $10 for CDs these days?!?!), and $100 dance shoes. I realize it's part of their job, but I find it distasteful. At least DF and I can joke about it though!
DF and I have also been sick for a week.

I feel much better today, but DF says he doesn't... but I think he's just fallen victim to the man cold.

He feels well enough to be sitting on the floor playing video games right now, so how bad can it be?!
Have a good week everyone! I'm sure I'll check in soon... and only 2 months until I get married!!!
