I've been invited to a Longaberger party . . .

I've been invited several times to LB parties, and I never went. Felt bad, but I am famous for buying out of obligation. I've seen these LB baskets, their nice, but I would probably just end up putting dog toys in them. (all baskets in my house are filled with "babies").

I had a friend that sold LB baskets. Whenever she had a party booked by someone in our church, she would have them invite me. I went to the first one and bought a nice basket, thinking that this would be the only time I would go to a LB basket "party". My DH hit the roof when he found out what I had spent but he told me it was "my money" and he understood that she was my friend.

Then, I got another invitation. I went and bought the cheapest thing I could find! Then, another party and I declined the invitation. And another party, I ignored the invitation. And one more that I did not acknowledge.

We are no longer friends. I think she was so offended that I would not support her in her interest, that she just wrote me off! My DH could not have been happier!!

I think the post that you should tell her you don't need any baskets right now is a good one!
