I just switched over to iTunes because Sony didn't have some of the songs I wanted. So I DL a dozen songs and go to burn my first CD (from their "burn disc" icon) and then find out it's m4p! First off, what the heck is that? Isn't iTunes for iPod and aren't iPods mp3 players? Someone explain that logic to me.
So I did a search and found a way to change my preferences in iTunes so I could convert to mp3. But after I did that, my songs were only 3 KB and they wouldn't play on media player. The error message was that there was an extension that prevented play. Damn you iTunes!
How can I convert the songs I bought to mp3 (or wav or omg or whatever) so I can play them in my car and mp3 player? I'll be darned if I'm gonna spend a buck per song and then have to listen to them on my computer (which by the way sounds awful..the songs skip and crackle for some reason on the iTunes interface).
Another message board mentioned Hymn. Is that ok or know of any legit software out there? Thanks!
