Just booked an "adults only" vacation for our 10th anniversary at POR from June 26 - 30.

This will be our first visit to POR - we've stayed at WL the past couple of times. From what I've seen of the pictures (thanks Pixie Dust!) - the place is beautiful!

I've never rented a boat at POR, but when I rented them at CSR and WL I didn't need reservations. Just walk up to the marina. I'm sure POR would be the same.

We stayed at POR several times since 1998. In the last few years we have "expanded" our horizons and tried other resorts. We are booked for Nov 30 - Dec 7 back at POR. I am actually looking forward to it.

Quick question -- although I know my answer's buried in here somewhere -- what kind of shampoo/conditioner do they give at POR? And will I be okay if I leave my shampoo/conditioner at home (the bottles are sooo big and heavy) if I can leave them at home, I want to! I'm bring four 3-oz bottles each of shampoo and conditioner in our 3:1:1 bags in carry-on (there are 4 of us for 8 days). What do you think?

All Disney resorts provide the same shampoo, it's called H20 I think. I've got bottles of the stuff at home...

Is there a Port Orleans photo thread? I've seen them for CBR and some other resorts, but I don't know if a search for a photo thread for POR&FQ would be fruitful. If there's a thread already in progress, please share the link. I'd like to see guest photos from either POR or POFQ as I start planning our next trip. While the FAQ has great information about the resort, the photo threads are great when you just want to daydream about a past trip or an upcoming one.

-carriage rides riding the boat taxi to dtd @ night
-kayak rentals
-bob @ the river roost
these are my favorite things to do at POR!

It's not a salad bar in the traditional sense. YOu go to the counter and let them know what you want in your salad and they make it to order. They also have a pasta station where you do the same thing.

Hi

I was hoping you guys could help me again. Im staying at POR for my honeymoon in 10 days and I was wondering if you knew a good room to request. We want to stay in the Magnolia bend section hopefully and would like a good room. Maybe one with a water view or a corner view, or both is possible, we were hoping for a third floor if possible. Thank you in advance and to those staying there at the same time, feel free to say hi if you see a blonde couple with the wedding badges/wedding ears on!

Haven't stayed there yet to make a recommendation, but definitely make sure your honeymoon info is on your ressies! Room and meals!
