I booked at the beginning of this year, however I did it all online. I received confirmation, and of course the invoices. However I have not gotten anything since mid April.

I booked our July trip (2 days away!!!) in early May (when AP rates came out) over the telephone. Unlike all the many previous trips we've taken (including the one in late May with extended family), we have received NOTHING in the mail. Even our confirmation came in the form of an e-mail. We can access our ressie on-line and have even called to add requests; however, we have not gotten the traditional "Welcome Back" letter from the resort. Strange.

DM, thanks for the information. We stayed in a non-smoking room at Building 18 in 05 and location-wise it was pretty good. I was wondering if the formerly smoking rooms have been given a deep clean. I'm glad you didn't notice any smoke smell.

What time did you check in, and was your room ready at arrival? Our plane lands at MCO at 8:50 AM, so we'll be checking in early in the day. I don't expect our room to be ready, but it would be nice to have the room right away.

We stayed at POR in May...our plane landed at 8:45am....we were at POR 10:00...checked in and our room was READY!! I think it depends on how busy they are...cross your fingers...here is your pixie dust...:wizard: ...

Hello everyone-

I was just wondering if it were possiable to get two king beds and a trundle in one of the mansions. DH, DD(12) DS(10) DD(5) and I are planning for next year and we need alot of space(shooting for a 14 day stretch) but we really can't swing a suite this time.:sad1: . any info anyone can provide will be greatly appriciated. I'm sure the answer is posted here somewhere but my eyes are burning from trying to find the answer. :surfweb:

King beds are alone. Mansions do not have trundles either.

Trundles come in the Alligator Bayou section with 2 double beds in the room.

The trundles are only available in the AB section. Having stayed in both now I always thought I would still love the mansions but I did love the BAyou and it's theming.

 DH and DS will be heartbroken. We stayed at CS last year and the only complaint either one of them had was the size of the beds. Most nights DH ended up camping out on the floor!!!:rotfl2: Are there any pics of the room @
AB?

I don't know if anyone is interested but I took pictures one of the pamphlets they hand out at checkin. I hope it's readable here...

We stayed last year with 14 / 9 / 6 yr olds and had no problem.... a bit cramped but we spent so little time in the room that it didn't really matter. We were there literally to sleep and get changed!

I think the All Star Music suites were more reasonable in price than 2 rooms at any value, but the suites are slightly more than POR. I priced out all of them and it went like this in order from lowest to highest at the end of June:

1. POR
2. ASMu suites
3. Pop Century 2 rooms

Low/HI/HOLIDAY SEASONS
145 185 199 POR
164 238 258 Value (2 rm adjoining)
179 265 285 ASM Suites

For sq footage, ASM is basically 2 value rooms ( 260 sf x 2 = 520 sf ) but layout may be worth the extra 15-17 a day as it has separate master room with queen bed, 2 bathrooms and 2 x 27" tvs. ... great if you plan/need to spend time in rooms. If you can get adjoining rooms in value with one king and 2 doubles that is the same really.
It's sad when I think soooo much about Disney that I will do research for someone else's vacation!!?!

You're right. I guess I got the value (2 rooms) and suites mixed up. It's not sad that you do that kind of research...so do I!!! And I don't consider myself sad, just over enthusiastic! ;)

Hi. Getting ready for a week at POR at the end of Sept. Just curious about the butterfly thing. I read something about it a couple of years ago, but have not seen anything about it recently. Does it still exist?

We were just there in May...I looked for the butterflies and even asked a CM at POR (but he had only worked there for 1 year)...he said he knew nothing about a butterfly house :confused3 ...we stayed in the acadian house and this is where the butterfly house was reported to be....I sure wish I would have remembered to visit this during our 2003 stay, I love butterflies.

I was reading on a different thread that Everything POP sells the swimming pool noodles for like $4.

Can anyone who has recently been to POR let me know if they saw them for sale there and how much they were.

They had Noodles in Fultons General store for $4. But we got 2 in walmart for $2 on our way to Disney. Sadly we couldn't bring them home as we just didn't have the room but we plan to buy the kids some for swimming here.

I wish I could just get them at walmart. But we're flying in and aren't going to rent a car. So as long as they have them there I will pay it then give the noodle to someone else before i leave.

Thanks!!
