I wish we could get them for $4 over here. They cost around £7 which in the current exchange rate is around $14 so I really wanted to bring my bargains home but there was just no room.

They had Noodles in Fultons General store for $4. But we got 2 in walmart for $2 on our way to Disney. Sadly we couldn't bring them home as we just didn't have the room but we plan to buy the kids some for swimming here.

Not sure if your getting anything else delivered but at the site WeGoShop.com
they shop for your items and you can pick were they go.

I have heard they are good and we will try them for our trip in December. then it can be a Walmart run more to pick from from noodles to breakfast food.

Just subscribing- Staying at POR August 25-Sept 2nd. Thanks for all the great info!!!:flower3: :flower3:

Crazy question...

Are the doors at POR metal?

I want to make a sign for the door and attach magnets so just wanted to know before I do all the work and then can't use them...
;)
Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are. They're the same doors that all the resorts have. I've never seen a magnetic door sign at Disney, so maybe they aren't really magnetic>?

Actually, I think I might have seen one on our last trip.

Not sure when your trip is...I'll be there in 12 days, so I'll report back if no one else knows.

Just for you all to see. We stayed in room 1806 this past June and this was the view from our room. It faced building 14. We had a first floor room and it was very quiet.

Yes. They are metal. This little croc is Felicia von Focker Crocker. Some of you may have heard about the Croc Exchange in another thread on the DISboards. Felicia had tiny magnets in her feet that allowed me to stick her on our door.

Did you request this building when you reserved or just luck out?
Actually, I did not want this building at all because it used to be a former smoking building. I requested building 27 and first floor. At check-in when they told me I was in the "most coveted building 18" I said, "Oh no, wasn't that a former smoking room?" The CM stated back that all rooms were nonsmoking as of June 1st. To which I replied that I already knew this but I wanted to make sure that those certain rooms were thoroughly cleaned out and the mattresses changed. He assured me they were. I never smelled even a hint of smoke the entire time and I absolutely loved our room! The location was great and the view was wonderful.

Thanks so very much for the prompt reply. It is so great to hear that there is no smoke there as I have bad asthma.

We stayed in that exact same room in 2005! We're checking into POR this weekend, and I'm hoping for the same general location.

We always request building 14. Close to everything & there's a back shortcut to the main bus stop :woohoo:

We are also from Cleveland (westsiders) and will be at POR August 11-19th. It seems that we always run into people from the area down there. We are leaving on the 10th to make the long drive down. Hope you have a great trip!

I'm new to this thread... Such great information here! We are staying at POR for the first time over Labor Day weekend. I haven't read through ALL 73 pages of this thread yet (getting to it) so I have a few questions I'm wondering if someone could answer for me:

1) Is there a curtain in the rooms that separates the bedroom area from the vanity area? (We have had these in CSR and CBR.)

2) Do they offer adjoining rooms?

3) Are there refrigerators in the rooms?

4) Are there elevators in the buildings, or are stairs the only way up?

Thanks in advance!

Ok I can answer some.
Curtains - yes.

adjoining rooms - i think so, not 100% sure.

refrige - yes

elevator - not sure we were on the first floor in the mansions but I doubt it the mansion we were in only had 2 flights and the stairs were in front of our room

if you want to see some pics go to my tr in my signature, POR is one of the first postings after landing in the report.

1) yes

2) yes

3) yes

4) Aligator Bayou buildings don't have elevators. They are 2 stories high.

Staying 8/23-8/28

Not sure what the August crowds will be like, never stayed in August before.... but who cares as long as we are in Disney!!!!!

The magnolia terrace mansion has an elevator as we had it in our trip in 2001 and on our trip in July we went to show the kids where we stayed and used the elevator again. But all other buildings don't.

By ajoining rooms do you means rooms which connect or are near to one another? The rooms we stayed in could all connect through a door next to the beds. You need to ensure you ask for connecting rooms if that is what you want or else you could bne 4 rooms away from each other in ajoining.

The mansions do have elevators.
