It's raining!

It just rained for about 10 minutes here. No thunder or lighting though... It's still pretty cloudy and gray out..

I want it to be gloomy on our trip! I'm ready to finally go to DLR when it's not 80+ degrees out!! But, it looks like for our trip the forecast will be sunny and 80 degrees, of course!

more like 90...this year it is unseasonably warm all over CA...see what I mean about differences in weather year to year??? there is no comparison ...you have to just go with whatever the weather forecast is 10 days out...last year at this time the weather was perfect fall weather...now it wants to keep us in heat well past the time we should be in it...Im over it already dang it...bring on the cold!!!

That I will 100% agree with - bring on the COLD and gloom! There are so many people crammed into DLR and so whatever temp it is supposed to be, as you know, Lynn, it actually feels like 5 degrees hotter in the parks. But, as you say, you just have to go with whatever the forecast is, and it is looking like it is going to be low to mid-80's in a couple of days, so that means it will feel like 90! You are 100% right! Oh well, I will just be happy to be there!

There is no dirt in So Cal -- it's all cement so even if it rains for a couple of minutes it floods the streets. Actually, where i live now there is more dirt because i'm further away from the LA/Orange County area but when I used to live near Knott's Berry Farm it would seriously flood the sidewalks and streets with only a few minutes of rain, thus my dirt/cement theory.

uh yeah there is dirt.....I live in CA and there is dirt for gosh sakes DL even has dirt lol but the flooding is a issue throughout CA because of the fact that we dont have rain, the drains get build up from leaves and it causes the flooding once the rain starts especially when it first starts

I know there's dirt (you should see my backyard!) but I'm originally from N. California in an area where there are just tons of plants and trees and lots of natural stuff (and lots of allergies ) so when i first moved down here it seemed like it was all cement!

one of my favorite llittle secrets.... Watch for a day when it has been forcasted to rain in the morning. MOST locals will not go on a rainy day, especially families who only go once a year (non apers). Unless it looks like it is going to pour all day, (rare) go ahead and go to Disneyland because most likely it will not be busy and the rain won't last. Most people will wait and go another day since they only go once a year or every few years and they don't want to go in the rain. I know this isn't huge, but I've done it a few times.

P.S. (the downside)it only works once or twice a year since we get so little rain!

I'm in El Segundo (by LAX), and there is no rain here - just a few clouds. I sure would love some rain.

To me, this summer hasn't really been hot - at least, here where we live. We've had nice sunny days, but no extreme heat.

Last year, I remember it was in the 100's during Labor Day - just miserable.

I'm ready for some cooler weather.

If one would like to, please send your rain and thunder and lighting, (oh, I am getting excited just at the thought) to Sonoma County, thank you. it has been very warm to hot here, since the first day of Autumn, I need a break please, I do not like to drive though, in down pours, especially not at night.
But when indoors, or if I am not going to be driving very far, then here is my umbrella, and I am happy as a clam in the drizzle, now downpours will get you wet and fast, but one can only become so damp, then that is it.
