In Polk and the surrounding counties.

Thank goodness. There was a terrible brush fire near Tampa yesterday. 1000 families had to be evacuated and they closed a very major interstate because the fire jumped over it! Happy to say, that area is also getting these storms.

I can hear my garden slurping up the water.

You know, I suspect we're going to lose our lights at any minute. They have been flickering A LOT! Lakeland looks like they're getting this much more than we are.

I expect to *POOF* at any moment.

I think we must had a quick moving shower early yesterday morning, because part of my carport was wet. But we need more.

I woke up to thunder and knew it was a tease but within a few minutes, it started to rain. I have never enjoyed the sound of rain like I did this morning.

We received it late yesterday afternoon thur last night, todays forecast more rain maybe a thundershower.

We got a good three hours of steady soaking rain. Everything should look greener tomorrow.

Of course this is after I poured about 1500 gallons of water on my lawn last night. I live on a golf course, and on another part of the course an idiot dropped a cigarette and you know what happened. Luckily it was put out before it got too close to any houses, but I've been trying to keep the back lawn super saturated just in case.

This is with city water, so I'm paying an arm and a leg for it (as opposed to teh irrigation water which is dirt cheap), but it's worth it.

We are getting drizzles here in Brevard but we need lots!!!

My brother (and many, many other fire-medics) has been fighting these fires non-stop. Yesterday on his "day off" he got shipped to Volusia to help with theirs. These poor guys need some heavenly help!

Lakeland got quite a stormer this morning. Of course most of it rolled right off the yard into the street..LOL
