Or just voting for McCain because he has a woman on the ticket?
I am a right leaning independent, but I am not religious, am generally pro-choice, and don't really care too much about gay marriage. I don't think they are the most important issues facing this country and I don't vote on these issues. Personally, I think anyone who votes primarily or entirely on these issues, either way, is really a wasted vote.
Palin may be socially conservative, which I can take or leave (mostly leave), but most importantly she is also a financial conservative who despises government corruption and is darn near a libertarian. She is the least political of all the politicians now in this race, and I find that refreshing. I think McCain/Palin will be pragmatic leaders of this country, and not the ideologues (right and left) that control this government. THAT is why I am voting for McCain/Palin.
