I do think people get way too emotional about things like this. It's just business, folks. Disney's doing what is best for them; you do what's best for you. The key is to not get frustrated just because what's best for them isn't what you want them to do. You need to adjust to the changes you encounter, just like Disney does.
Do you really think Disney wants to switch to higher-cost fats for its frying? Of course not. They're making these changes because they see that they'll sell more vacations this way. That will make up for the higher cost of trans-fat free frying, and the costs of putting in place new, healthier menus, etc. And they'll do it just to the extent that is necessary to gain the advantages they want to gain, no more.
Disney needs to adjust to the environment it is presented; we need to adjust to the environment we are presented. No recriminations. No one is a villian.
