It's MY Birthday!!!(Sooo, I wanna eat 'n eat,...until I die.) COMPLETED

Good stuff Nate!

You were right--your picture of you and stopher is better. You both appear to be looking at the same camera! :thumbsup2

And there's the t-shirts. All is right with the world... :lmao:

Sorry you missed out on Le Cellier. That's a bummer. But the almost-smiling pic of Boy has to count for something!

And the Viking Mickey helmet is a great find! I think that's my favorite Hidden Mickey in this update.

I agree on Illuminations: far too much time on the globe in the middle. I still like the show better than Wishes, though. I'm a sucker for the pyrotechnics.

Nate - you are the Hidden Mickey master! You're documenting HMs that I've NEVER seen and I search a LOT!

Great TR! I'm loving this one!

:thumbsup2Enjoying the TR. It is just a shame that the firewall at work is blocking all of your pictures. I'm sure they're excellent:cool1:.

I'll have to fire up the computer at home this weekend to check them out.

Great updates, Nate! I love that I finally saw an almost "complete" smile on Boy's face. :goodvibes
Yeah...he seems to be smiling better...helps when the characters catch him off guard...I could of had a good one of him and Tigger at the CP...but my camera was too slow...Tigger snuck up behind him...:lmao:

It cracks me up that every time you arrive somewhere and have entered the park, you head off in one direction and the rest of the family hits the biggest store at that park. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
Yep...serves 3 purposes...1...we get FPs for something...2...they get to check out the main shop...3...I get to check out the same shop on my own...but don't tell anyone my secret.

Glad you got to meet Stopher and his daughter. DIS meets are so much fun. And how nice to give you Fast Passes.
Yes it was nice...and the FP's were handy.

I didn't do Captain EO either...let Mark go alone. I had no desire to see it whatsoever.
I'm certain we will regret this for years to come... :lmao:

Good stuff Nate!

That and I think the CM that was taking the picture with my camera actually knew how to operate a camera.

And there's the t-shirts. All is right with the world... :lmao:
yes and don't forget... WE SET FIRE TO THE SUN!!! with them.

Sorry you missed out on Le Cellier. That's a bummer. But the almost-smiling pic of Boy has to count for something!
Yeah...well we will be back on Friday for another try... :confused3
Also I was looking forward to the GG...Boy smiling is gravy.

And the Viking Mickey helmet is a great find! I think that's my favorite Hidden Mickey in this update.
I still like the one in the pond at the Poly.

I agree on Illuminations: far too much time on the globe in the middle. I still like the show better than Wishes, though. I'm a sucker for the pyrotechnics.
I like Wishes the best...would have liked to have seen the Summer Night fireworks though.

Nate - you are the Hidden Mickey master! You're documenting HMs that I've NEVER seen and I search a LOT!
Great TR! I'm loving this one!

I submitted the affore mentioned Poly Pond Mickey to Steve Barrett (Hidden Mickey Guide)...he e-mailed me and seem pretty excited, but was fearful that it would be gone.

:thumbsup2Enjoying the TR. It is just a shame that the firewall at work is blocking all of your pictures. I'm sure they're excellent:cool1:.

Stupid IT Nazis...can't goof off at work cause of them. :lmao:

Photopass3.jpg
I love it. Tiny is in the back all excited and Boy is riding shotgun in front, chillin with his elbow out the window. :rotfl2:

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go re-attach my burned up retinas. :cool2::thumbsup2

With doing most of Epcot yesterday...we have visited every park except Animal Kingdom.

We only have one day planned for the AK and we wanted to hit it early. It was a EMH pm day so we had from 9am-8pm to enjoy the park. Given that there's not a whole lot we want to accomplish. Tiny and I want to tackle Expedition Everest as many times as possible...and we (Tiny and myself) traditionally hit Kali River Rapids at the end of the day. We wanted to catch the Nemo Musical...we have been here before and missed it for some reason or another...so that is our "thing we have never done." Boy likes Dinosaur and Primevil Whirl...We all like the Safari Ride and the Festival of the Lion King. Also Tiny's Science and Social Studies Teacher wanted him to do a report on a topic of his chosing to make-up for any homework he would miss. He chose Rafiki's Planet Watch. So that's the agenda.

Again we drive to the park...Animal Kingdom from the CSR you take a left on LBV Drive...then left onto Oceola Pkwy...then there is the AK Parking Toll booth...not much of a crowd yet...and we get parked in the Unicorn lot...not close enough to walk though so we wait on the tram.

After we get thru the gates I collect the tickets...FPs for EE is my agenda...and Mel and Boy go to Isle Merchantile...Tiny and I head toward EE. Yes I have company...we decided that if the line was short we were going to ride. We arrive at EE and the FP are only 10 minutes away...the Standby line says 10 minute...so we opt to ride first...we walk through the maze and wonder when we will reach the end of the line...we find it at the place were they queue you into the cars...sweet!!!

Tiny and I end up rideing 3 times before we give up...still the FP tickets are only minutes away...so I call DW and say...do you really want FPs for this??? (Mel and Boy didn't really want to ride...but were going to just for Tiny and I.) So we head back to Discovery Island to find Mel and Boy. From there we hit Pizzafarri for Brunch. I love the Hot Itallian Sandwich here...we all get that except Tiny who get Pizza. I listen to a really old Cast member giving a tour around the Dining area and I see here goto this small section and point up and I hear some magic words...Oposums...no Hidden Mickey...so once she leaves I go investigate...this is what I found... Have to look sideways...
IMG_0124.jpg

Yeah I question it...but that is where she pointed.

From there we goto check out the Festival of the Lion King...on the way I get a picture of these guys...
IMG_0127.jpg

IMG_0126.jpg

We love the FotLK show. But for some reason We always get there late and are seated in the Giraffe section. Just once I want to be a Warthog...anyway it doesn't matter where you sit...it's a fine show be you Lion, Elephant, Giraffe, or Warthog.

From there we head to Africa...of course we check out the gift shops...and I snag some FPs..then head to Rafiki's Planet Watch for Tiny's Report...and we like it over there.
IMG_0128.jpg

We make the train ride and make our way up the path to the Conservation Station...I find som HM's on a Butterfly.
IMG_0151.jpg

Here's a neat feature I've missed on previous trips...they have stations where you can look in on the different animals in the backstage areas.

After reading the Kingdom Keepers series I learned about these cameras...pretty cool...here is the Giraffe's camera...
IMG_0152.jpg

What the Camera stations look like...
IMG_0154.jpg

Here's a Picture of Tiny and some CM's and a Hedgehog...who is hiding.
IMG_0158.jpg

Then onto some more information stations...
IMG_0159.jpg

Here's Tiny holding a piece of Plastisized Elephant Poop...CM Sloane becomes very important in a moment.
IMG_0161.jpg

We go on arounds looking at the Bugs and Reptiles...then we get approached
by a lady who sats we have been selected for a Magical Moment...cool

She takes us back to Sloane...who takes us backstage for a moment...into the room about 2 pictures above...here Tiny get to play a game...
IMG_0179.jpg

The Game is Called...go ahead read the picture...
IMG_0185.jpg

Then Sloane goes on to tell how they study the hormone levels in the animals to determine when they are ready to mate...or if the animals are pregnant. This I s apicture of a Teeter plate which they have used...I forget what color menas what...
IMG_0181.jpg

Then she gives Tiny this one to keep...
Disney301.jpg

Then Sloane tells us about the Elephant communication studies...
IMG_0183.jpg

This is the collar they attach to an elephant and records the sounds...
IMG_0182.jpg

Before we leave Sloane takes a Family shot...
IMG_0186.jpg

And gives us each one of these pins...

So that's the Crap on crap...

Continued...

I've been lurking and enjoying your trip report immensly....but just about caused a riot just now after reading your latest installment. Everyone was wondering what I was howling about...."Match the....with the species". Bwahhhh!!!!:rotfl2::lmao:

Excellent find on the animal cameras :thumbsup2 I wonder if that is new this year... don't recall seeing them before. However, admittedly I am not an AK fan and very well could have flew right by it. :confused3

Dude... your installment is full of crap! HAHAHAHA!:lmao::lmao: This must be new, too... I would have recalled seeing such a fancy slogan! Kudos to the CM that came up with that catchy phrase! :rotfl2:

Great update, Nate!

I love it. Tiny is in the back all excited and Boy is riding shotgun in front, chillin with his elbow out the window. :rotfl2:

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go re-attach my burned up retinas. :cool2::thumbsup2
I think Boy was going for the Scion Hampster look.

nice pics nate!!:thumbsup2 boys getting tall, hes all most as tall as you are.
There's only an inch or 2 separating us now...they grow fast.

:sad2: Even though as far as "Magical Moments" go...this one is "crappy"...literally. We did have a good time and Tiny had more than enough ammo for a great report. The special Collectors pin was nice too...and Tiny's Mickey Teeter plate is a very nice keepsake too.

This is the crappiest update I've ever read. And I mean that as a compliment. :thumbsup2

Nice hidden Mickey in the butterfly! And is it me, or does Tiny look a little too pleased to be holding a pile of elephant poo? :rotfl2:

Let's just say this was an interesting update this time, Nate. But I do commend you for having more pictures. But pictures of "crap?" :confused3:confused3

Yeah when Tiny was trying to come up with a report title...I suggested "The Crap I Learned at Disney" Mel gave me a very mean look. :confused3

With all the new young animals it appears that the study of crap is paying off.

From there we head toward Asia to get a bite at the Yak and Yeti Counter service area...I get a few snap shots ot the Tree while we eat...
IMG_0219.jpg

IMG_0220.jpg

IMG_0222.jpg

Also I think the knot holes next to the baboon...apear to be a Hidden Mickey???
IMG_0221.jpg

From there we scope out a place to see the Jammin Jungle Parade ...
IMG_0259.jpg

Look a hidden Platypus...(Perry???)
IMG_0223.jpg

From there we head to Dinoland USA...Mel sits down while the boys and I brave Dinosaur...twice. Then I sit with her while the boys ride Primevil Whirl...
IMG_0265.jpg

Then we head to watch the Finding Nemo Musical...this was a very entertaining show too. I was very glad to finally see it. Also after the show was done I had spotted something...
IMG_0264.jpg

A Cast member told me that during the show there are a fe moments when the spot light make one on stage. cool.

From there we head back to Asia...Tiny and I do the Single Rider line for EE...about 3 more times...one time they actually messed up and we got to sit together. Mel had been checking out the gift shop. then headed to Check out the outfitters shop on Discovery Island...

Meanwhile Tiny and I finish the day with Kali River Rapids...Round 1 Tiny got drowned...I got mine one our second ride.

It's only about 7pm when we've had our fill... back to the CSR...a little laundry...dinner at the Pepper Market...a stop at "Mel's place"...2 more Vinylmation keychains..Tigger...and Nemo...showers...bed by 11.

Tomorrow we hit the MK for our final time...and have ADR on Liberty Tree Tavern at 6pm.
