It's my Birthday & I Celebrated! Lots of photos, food and fun! Updated 9/23

After our breakfast at Minnie's we wanted to do a few more rides so we headed to Adventureland. I grabbed us FastPasses for Indy and we got in line for Jungle Cruise. The line looked short and I think was posted at 15minutes. Once in line I realized it was was longer than I had ever seen as it was going upstairs. It literally went up the staircase around the corner and back down the staircase so not too bad.

Some pics from the cue...

After a delightful trip through the Jungle and arriving back at the dock safely we decided to go get spooked at the Haunted Mansion.

The Haunted Mansion holds a VERY special place for my friend. Her husband proposed in the WDW version!!!

The wait at around midday was 13 minutes. This was going to be a First for me as well. I had only ridden it as the Nightmare Before Christmas version so I was excited to see it in the original!

The first thing I noticed in line was that the carriage was back! I had read posts that it was missing so I was happy to see it!

Finally we made it into the Stretching Room... okay... not FINALLY... the wait was very quick!

Once we made it down there was more people down there than I expected! Normally I walk right to the buggies but this time there was a line once off the "elevator" Due to this Kim and I had trouble keeping track of each other... Silly people kept walking in between us! Thankfully we regrouped and we were on to our doombuggy...

No pictures of the ride...

Enjoyed the traditional version. I also like the HMH version so I will be happy regardless of the time of year I get to ride it!

YAY for new updates :)
I'm glad you liked both versions of HM. I like them both too. Lots of people strongly dislike the HMH version, which I don't get. :confused3 Both are so fun!
Isn't it funny how the wait for HM, when the line is short, is usually always 13 mins.

More new characters!!! Minnie's is a great one to see rare or new characters!!! Bummer Minnie didn't have time for you.....hurumph!!

Yay.....the carriage is back!!!!! There was some real concern it wouldn't be back!!

Loving your report!!

We survived the Haunted Mansion and DID NOT become the 1000 Haunt!!

At this time I looked at the time and realized we should head over to DCA as I had hopes of watching Aladdin today! When we got in the park kim used the little girls room and I walked FAST to get us Soarin' FP. I met back up with Kim under the Golden Gate Bridge and we headed together to the Hyperion Theatre. When we got there it was probably 2pm and the show was 2:20pm. Oopps! Well I saved us a long wait! In return we ended up WAY WAY up in the Mezzanine though! Wowsa! That is a lot of stairs to get up there!!

We picked some seats on the right side of the Mezzanine about half-way down. To be honest I don't think I could have handled being any closer to the edge. I am scared of heights and that was just freaky being up there to me!

But it ended up not being to bad as far as seeing the show went!

I LOVE the Aladdin show! This was the 3rd time I had seen it and I still LOVE it! I highly recommend it.. Yes waiting can be long and if you are on a short visit it can be hard to fit in but I recommend trying! I usually try in the Afternoons when the ride waits can be getting on the longer side.

After the show I went and grabbed Tower of Terror FP's for later on.

Then I wanted to see how the wait was for Monster's Inc. It was posted at 20 minutes and I KNEW we would be able to ride it another time without a wait so I said lets just come back.

At this time we were feeling a little drained so we headed back to the Paradise Pier Hotel for a rest.

Kim had some work to take care of for her Summer Program so I relaxed while she did that and then after her phone calls were done we put on our swimsuits and headed down to the hot-tub.

Unfortunately the hot tub had tons of kids in it and it was not very hot (maybe because of all the kids?) However it was a good soak for our already weary bodies. After a while in the Hot Tub we moved over to the pool which was down right chilly compared to the Hot Tub so I guess it was a little hot after all! I was also bummed that the Water Slide was not open!

Next up! FOOD!

Hi, I'm posting now!

Well at least with the long JC line you got a good view, not just looking at all the other "cattle".

Cool that your friend was proposed to in Haunted Mansion! Did they have a Halloween wedding too?

Minnies Breakfast looks good!! Nice crispy bacon. At least there were a few obscure characters if not a lot in quantity.

Ok, and then you post while I'm posting! Wow, update overload!

Not too bad of seats at Aladdin for only a 20 minute wait. I guess the theatre is set up well for good views from all seats. Your pics turned out pretty good too.

Yeah! It's the only ride where you see a 13 minute wait! Of course the following week I was seeing waits of 45 minutes for HM :scared1:

More new characters!!! Minnie's is a great one to see rare or new characters!!! Bummer Minnie didn't have time for you.....hurumph!!

I love Minnie's! It's an awesome time!

I was very happy to see the Carriage back! I couldn't imagine that area without it!

Yeah the view was great and the line was actually fast moving so it didn't seem terribly long.

They were married in October but I don't think it was Halloween themed. I was actually unable to attend her wedding and I am so regretful of that but at the time I just couldn't afford to get to TX from WI.

;) Looks like I don't have to remind you today! Great update Paula.

I'm trying!! I have so many days to cover!!!

Yeah... my trip was 9 full days and 2 half days so if I don't keep going we will never be done!

The seats were pretty good. I'm impressed with my little camera!!

Your trip is really sounding like fun, and it's getting me excited for my trip in a few weeks!!
Love the Aladdin photos! I've seen the show 3 times too! I can never get tired of it.

I love the update!! I'm trying to convince my mom to have us eat there for New Years.

Will you be doing a TR Jillian?

Was Hook not at breakfast? I tried looking in the background for him but didn't see him did you? I might trade for a rare the rare opportunity to meet Pete.

Also while you may not of like the JC wait, I haven't been up those stairs in ages and am a bit jelous.

Speaking of the stairs to the mezzanine level of Aladdin, it seems like a lot of steps, but I was thinking it's because of the lack of steps elsewhere. But I agree you really are up there when viewing the show, it's high.

Oh I don't know... I'm not a very good story teller, even if I'm just recalling stuff from memory! I'll leave the TR-ing to the pros ;)

I'm not a great storyteller either! And I have a bad memory... Therefore the reason for all the photos!!

You spoiled us with updates yesterday silly! :rotfl: And hey, who cares about storytelling when you have pretty pretty pictures!! You're doing a wonderful job Paula (and you would do a wonderful job too Jillian)!

Is that your way of saying where is my update today? Lol.... I have a major migraine. If it goes away soon you may see an update later today otherwise it will be tomorrow.

 Hope it goes away (and not just for an update). You deserve to be migraine free. I did say I was gonna be on the ball about this didn't I, lol.
