It's my Birthday & I Celebrated! Lots of photos, food and fun! Updated 9/23

June 8th began the same as June 7th. The alarm went off at 5am. This time it was my turn to get in the shower first. We both showered and got dressed. I ate an orange while Kim was in the shower. When we were both ready we grabbed a bottle of water each and were out the door.

We arrived to the baggage claim tents at about the same as the day before. This time they let us through a few minutes earlier though.

When we reached the main gates they were still closed so I snapped a few pictures through the gate.

Still repeating what we did last time it was off to Peter Pan while most of the rest of the crowds went to ST2.0.

We walked onto Peter Pan!

Instead of Dumbo next we took a ride on Snow White's Scary Adventures since we hadn't rode it yesterday.

Then it was time for another flight on Dumbo!
Each of us taking pictures of each other!

I'm going to pause here as I have to many pictures to continue!

I absolutely love how empty Fantasyland is!! I would have loved getting photos over there.

After riding Dumbo it was again decided we would take another ride on Alice in Wonderland!

This time the CM was not a grump!
ry%3D400

And we were off!

As we were getting off Alice i heard the CM telling someone the wait was 10 minutes. I asked what had a 10 minute wait. She said Nemo. We had walked by Nemo the day before and the wait was 30 minutes and I didn't want to wait that long so I figured 10 minutes was probably as good as we were gonna get so we headed over there.

Just a pic of the teacups as we exited Alice in Wonderland.
ry%3D400

And then it was NOT a 10 minute wait for Nemo. It was a WALK-ON!

And some pics taken through my porthole.

That's it from the subs! The next stage leads to not very good photos!

This time I enjoyed Nemo more than the first time. It's not a ride I need to visit often though. To me it seems to be a little long. If I ever catch it without a wait I will ride it again but definitely not something I will wait for!

You can't be by the subs without getting pics of the Seagulls though.
Mine.. Mine.. Mine.. Mine!

We had exited Nemo just before 8am so we had to walk quickly....

I'm just amazed at how empty Fantasyland is......crazy!!!

I have never been on Nemo....not a fan of enclosed areas. My family rode it & renamed it Lame-O.....lol So I figured I hadn't really missed anything. Mike says a walk on would have been too long to wait to ride it.....so I can't imagine when the lines get up to 90mins!! Yikes!

I kinda wish I had taken the time to get some more pics of it so empty but we were so busy going from ride to ride what I posted is what I got :lmao:

I love the empty FL! I think once the crowds dies down from ST it will be highly unlikely to ever see it that way again!

My goal was for us to ride everything at least once so that is why we fit it in that morning. Eeks! 90 minutes, I would NEVER wait more than a couple minutes and only then I would ride it when I didn't have anything else I wanted to do... Which would be when!?!? Oh... I'll ride it again if I am ever with someone else that hasnt but otherwise I'll pass!?

I am so excited to see how empty Fantasyland is. It is helping me kinda plan out what I wanna do first on my upcoming trip!
I wonder how long the effects of the new ST are gonna last. I love when a new ride opens that I have either already been on (thanks to the ST preview contest :goodvibes) or that I am not interested in. Makes other lines, especially first thing in the morning, very short.
I love the pics of you and your friend on Dumbo! Looks so fun :)

I'm not either Laurie and I don't think I could ever take a squeeze into the subs again. But if you ever want to check it out for yourself try the Observational Outpost which is a pretty spacious (and air conditioned) room where you go through the ride like a movie. I tried it for the first time last September and it's definitely the way to go. No wait, unless there's someone in there, no claustrophobia issues and if there are you are right next to a door to get out if you need to make an emergency run!

Great post Paula!

I absolutely loved how empty it was that day. :cool1: In fact, we rode Nemo first during MM along with Star Tours which was a walk on then Buzz and Autopia twice and rode the railroad before our breakfast at Carnation Cafe. We decided to ride then grab fastpasses for Star Tours at 8am. By the time we had fastpasses in our hands, the line reached something like 90 minute wait. And throughout the day we noticed the line get longer and longer.

leinalani...how funny to find yourself in someone's photos! Crazy.

Wow Paula, what a great Magic Morning! I would love to be there when Fantasyland was so empty. Looks like you two are having a great trip so far.

Too bad about WCT. Every time I walk by I think it looks like a nice place to eat. Still haven't made it there. It's always disappointing when you don't enjoy your meal.

I'm interested to hear how long it continues too! It works for me if Star Tours continues to draw everyone that way!!

You were able to walk onto Star Tours after having done Nemo? That is amazing!!

I didn't even head to Tomorrowland beyond Finding Nemo that morning so didn't get a look at those crowds.

We certainly were having a great morning!

Yeah... I was very disappointed with WCT. It may have been better had I not ordered the Lasagna but I will never know.

More to follow!

:woohoo: Does that mean more updates for today? I love multiple update days, although single update days are awesome too ... Just sayin!

Leaving the Finding Nemo subs it was just a couple minutes before 8am. Therefore we hiked it quickly back towards the back of the park only to be stopped at a ROPE! I was not expecting that! I guess we were on time after all! Our Destination?!? TOON TOWN! Thanks to a VERY generous DISDiva I had received 2 tickets to Mickey's Toon Town Morning Madness!! I was so excited as with having an AP I wouldn't be booking a package to get them on my own and I had placed my name on the list to receive them twice and never even came close to the top! I had considered purchasing a package at one point and saving my park ticket to renew my AP but thankfully I didn't have to spend my money at that time!

Once they let the rope drop we headed back to our destination.

Where I noticed the sign that said Opening Ceremony would be held at 8:20 am in front of Town Hall. Since we had 20 minutes we headed to Gadget's Go Coaster!

Hey, I'll take ONE update (but will also take more if you can spare them ;))! That's so exciting that one of the Divas was able to get you the MTTMM vouchers. I'm crossing my fingers that for one of my upcoming trips I will be lucky enough to receive them again but if it doesn't happen it doesn't happen. If I want to do it desperately enough I suppose I can pay the rumored $10 to buy those perks seperately.

Great updates on your TR and photos.

The ones that I like the most is the FNSV through the port holes.

Oh what great fun!! I really enjoyed your pictures. One of my favorite things about Disneyland is how well they theme everything. It makes it all so much fun and it always seems as though I see something new.

That was an awesome update! Love the Toon Town Morning Madness photos. Looks like so much fun. I wonder if I get tickets to something like that with the 7 day tickets we are getting from Airmiles. Hmmmm....

Sounds like a GREAT morning!
