It's my Birthday & I Celebrated! Lots of photos, food and fun! Updated 9/23

Gotta love the people that wait to the last minute & expect front row seats......crazy!!! Didn't surprise me when the rest of the "herd" came down.....you send a couple to find a 1 ft section of cement to occupy then bring 15 more family members to squeeze in there........that's a real pet peeve of mine. I don't go all crazy but I also don't move to accomidate them. I just politely say, when you asked about the space in front of us, I said it was open for the 2 of you.......there wasn't room for the whole group.

We had this happen at parades, fireworks, WoC, etc. Love the ones that say, can my kid stand/sit in front of you so they can see & then before you know it....the entire family has moved into your space & squeezed you out......to me that's just rude.

Loved all the pics from Fantasmic & the fireworks!!!!!!

I know I've been in your shoes with people trying to squeeze in their whole families at the last minute in a space that is too small. They really need to think a little bit more, but I doubt the people who di this really care. There's a reason people camp out early like that (which I honestly really miss, lol). It's one thing if you're a single person who isn't going to take up a lot of space - I sort of did this although we were already camped out and conversing with the people around us and asked if it would be a problem if I sat in a tiny little spot so I could get better photos. But that's an entirely different situation. I wish I could say that I wouldn't move to accomidate people when they try to pull something like that but I'm not always the best about speaking up in a situation like that, lol.

Yay for a new installment! I haven't really sat down and watched Fantasmic! in years!!! I kinda wanna do a solo trip just so I can spend a whole day watching shows and stuff that my friends usually don't wanna see.

I didn't want to make a scene so I didn't say anything but we were definitely perturbed!

I'm happy with the pictures I got of Fantasmic! It's a hard show to get pics of with a P&S camera!

When I am by myself I often wait till closer to the show or whatever to get a spot but then it is really just me and I always ask if it is okay if I sneak in where I see a spot. I never just TAKE over space they have been saving!

So yesterday I was SO tired I couldn't do an update. Hopefully I make it through one today before falling asleep!

Well it appears this will be a very quick update! I thought I had more photos but I only have a couple!!

While we were watching the fireworks we decided we would go on a ride before heading back to the room to get some rest before our early morning the following day. What better ride than Pirates of the Caribbean? Towards the end of the fireworks we folded up our towel and got ready. As soon as the finale of fireworks was going off we darted across the way and into the line. The line ended up being nonexistent and we walked right onto our boat!

I only got a couple of pics though...

After we got off of Pirates I asked Kim if she wanted to try and catch another ride or get some rest for the next day. It was agreed that rest was in order!!!

We slowly made it towards the front gates... headed towards Downtown Disney... and tried to figure out how we got back to the PPH?!?

If you remember we had come from the DLH to the parks so we hadn't yet gone through the GCH. (I had gone through the GCH on a previous trip from DCA to DtD but I had no idea where we had come out!) I knew the entrance to the GCH was past the World of Disney store so we walked that way. Saw a fence... it didn't open... kept walking... ahh Sephora... Turn at Sephora... okay... now we are in the GCH... now where do we go?!? I seem to remember we went the wrong way but still ended up on the sidewalk that leads away from the PPH. Wrong but Right?!? We headed away from the GCH towards the PPH and were soon back in our room. I seem to remember falling asleep pretty quickly...

There ends our arrival day... Stay tuned for our adventures of our first full day in the parks!!

Tuesday June 7th!

The day began with the alarm going off at 5am. Kim got in the shower first while I snuck in a few more minutes of ZZZzzz!

When we were both showered and dressed we each I think had a yogurt and headed out the door with a water bottle. We were walking out the door somewhere between 6 and 6:15am. We walked our way through the GCH and into DtD. From there it was to the Baggage Check area. Which wasn't even open yet! We were only about 10 people back. I feel good!

Its still World of Color on the baggage check tents.

We stand there and chat. The person in front of us was also a teacher so her and my friend chatted for a little while. Finally it was time to get into the Esplanade. It was like 6:50 when they finally started letting people through the baggage check. I had never dreamed it wouldn't be done sooner!

We get into line at the gate and are just a few people back before we head into Disneyland! When we go through I tell them to please leave the MM on my friends ticket as we are staying onsite and I want to use the MM on it after she leaves and I will be offsite. They say "sure." I then tell my friend the goal is to walk as fast as we can to Fantasyland which is straight through the castle. We are heading to WHERE ELSE... PETER PAN!

I soon learned that I didn't need too much of a plan as most of the people using the MM were heading towards Star Tours!

We practically walked onto Peter Pan and it was so quick I didn't even get any pictures!

After Peter Pan it was off to a waiting Dumbo!

Next it is time for a WILD Ride. Mr. Toads Wild Ride of course!

Not many pictures of Mr. Toad... Thats what happens when there is NO WAIT!

Next up was a ride with Alice!

At the start of the ride I had asked the CM if he could take our picture. He said no Hurumpf!

Up next. Some Teacups! Eeek!! I hadn't rode the Teacups since a WDW trip MANY years ago! In fact it was since I discovered I got motion sick. I was always scared to try them but I wasn't skipping anything this trip so away we spun!!

At this point I think we went to try and ride Matterhorn Bobsleds but it was not yet open for the day.

Wow. Thank you Star Tours for making a Fantasyland MM a breeze!! I would have loved t not have to hussle back there to try and get in as much as possible before getting scared away for the rest of the day/trip. Hopefully everything ended up working out with the MM after leaving the PPH, lol.

It was no surprise to see most of the people head on over to ST during MM. That was really great for you and your friend to go to FL while everyone was heading towards TL and ST. I liked all the pics when you were on Dumbo.

It was great! We had no intention of Riding Star Tours first thing as we had our "Magic Fastpasses" as I liked to call them so FL was definitely where we were heading! It was great! You will have to wait and see on whether the MM worked another day...
