Ashley tell me how crowded was it when you were there? Like what was the wait for Pirates? We almost always walk on or wait 5 minutes when we go. This year the only two weeks we can go in the fall would be what I mentioned 11/22-11/30 or 11/29-12/7. Leaning towards the 11/29 week for the lower crowds, but free dining of offered the week before would be great. Hate making this decision !!

I am not Ashley, but we go every Thanksgiving week. Last year did not seem as crowded to us. We learned early on to avoid Magic Kingdom on Thanksgiving day. I would suggest Epcot or Animal Kingdom.

Hi WDW what does not crowded mean to you? Whenever we go for most rides the waits are under 20 minutes (pirates, Everest, haunted mansion, thunder mountain, buzz etc. the biggies of course awe always longer!) Longer than that is crowded to me.

I called in and spoke with a Mario yesterday, who seemed quite knowledgeable, and when I asked him to check for any pins for me, which he did, he told me that the latest pin he has heard being released was for the month of August.

I'm following along on several boards all hoping for free dining and saw some exciting news. Some sources are saying Monday is going to be a day for free dining to start. They think that it will be for September only this round but fingers crossed for November showing up soon, preferably before my 180 days out. **fingers crossed and praying**

I have only been to WDW during Thanksgiving (the past 2 years). 2013 seemed less crowded than the previous year. We got to MK at 9am on the tuesday before Thanksgiving and could walk on any ride until about noon. Most were less than 20 minutes. We even changed some of our fp+ because the lines were so short.

Thanksgiving day was more crowded during the afternoon through Wishes. Once Wishes was over, you could almost walk on most rides (except Peter Pan, and some of the bigger rides). My 6 yo dd and I rode barnstormer 5 times in a row because there was no wait!

I am running all of the numbers on resort/discounts options that could "might"
come up right now. We are hoping for a split stay with 4 night in a moderate(CBR or POR) with free dining and 4 night in a delux(CR or WL) with a good % off. If we can not get at least 30% off of the delux rooms we will most likely do the whole trip in a moderate with free dining. Do you think both deals will come out at the same time?

This is great info, thanks! We ended up booking 11/29-12-7 but if free dining comes out and includes the weekend before Thanksgiving maybe we will switch.

I received a package deal in the mail the other day and was super excited. Was hoping it was a good discount and called and booked our reservation with the option to put our down payment in 7 days. After looking more closely and then consulting with my travel agent we discovered it was no deal at all. I am letting my reservation cancel and then hope that it will trigger a pin code since I've read this sometimes works. Why did they tease me??? Anyway, I have booked our trip but will change the dates and/or hotel if a really good deal comes up. I can make ADR's in less than a month!!!

What you received was a 3 digit code for advertisement purposes. They send those out all of the time. The good news is that you are on their mailing list, so hopefully you will receive a true pin code sometime in the future. Those will have a 15 digit code. Good luck.

I was going to call to check if I had a pin code but I'm wondering if they have even activated any for the fall yet. I guess it wouldn't hurt. I received a pin code last year and one this past winter for this spring. I've never used one before so I'm unsure of how they are divied out

Sounds like this round of free dining won't include our dates, but it means we are one step closer!

I am patiently waiting for free dining. I doubt its gonna happen tomorrow but hopefully soon. My ADR day is next sunday. Crossing my fingers that we get BOG!!! I would hate to make the perfect dining plan and not get BOG! Ugh. I havent told my kids that im trying for BOG or CRT. They know nothing. They just found out today we are going back yay!!!

Joining in on this thread as I'm also hoping for a FD promo in November. Tentatively thinking of going 11/21-11/26 for a quick trip. I'd love to stay over Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday but it really depends on what the promotion, if any, might occur. Initial plan would be MK/MVMCP on Friday, AK Saturday, HS Sunday, EP Monday, MK Tuesday and home on Wednesday. If we could get FD we might be able to stay longer, but I doubt it. We'd be blowing and going for sure on a trip that short, but would be able to do the Christmas party, which we haven't done before. Will book an AoA LM room to be able to book our dining early then will switch resorts if FD comes out.

If you can't get BOG for dinner next week don't lose out hope. Last year we didn't get it until about 6 weeks before our trip.
