That looks scary. My 17 month old son on a couple of occasions has freaked me out in a similar way... I'd be home alone with him and he'd be either sitting or standing there, looking almost at me, but I can tell his eyes are focused on something just beyond me. He would just stare for a few seconds with a smile on his face, sometimes giggle.

I would turn to see what he might be looking at that's making him laugh and there would be a completely blank wall or door, nothing at all that I could figure he'd be amused by. It majorly freaks me out! I feel like he can see someone I can't. I know he's probably just laughing for no particular reason but it gives me the heebie jeebies!
