They want us to get the truck received and processed (i.e., out on the floor) in 90 minutes, which is their official process for receiving and stocking. We're lucky if we get the truck in the door in 45 minutes and then it takes us all day to get it all processed because we're ALL new. Everyone but the store manager is new. We're still learning, and they're getting mad that we can't get everything done.

I do appreciate that I'm getting more hours. I don't see where in there I was complaining.

I'm sorry if you took it that way. I'm not suggesting your were complaining. I'm just trying to help your expectations.

How many items come on the truck that are supposed to be stocked in 90 minutes? That seems really fast to me.

I've never seen my Ross being stocked, though I've shopped there for several years. Do they already come on hangers? Is all the clothing in order so it comes out in a sequence of sizes, so you can worked your way down a rack?

Honestly I really can't tell the difference between HiDef and regular TV

I can tell the difference between one station and another, but not from the HD channel to thier standard channel. I think it's a scam.

We get an average of 160 boxes in a shipment. Most clothes don't come on hangers (and if they do, they're not the right hangers and have to be changed), and there are very rarely clothes in order inside the boxes, then things are in smaller boxes inside of other boxes inside of the boxes, not to mention all the bubble wrap, the mixed boxes, and the hard tagging and all that. It takes time. They want the truck in the door in 30 minutes and everything else processed in an hour, which makes absolutely no sense to me.

Are the boxes on pallets? Do you have to check it in(verify delivery) by item, box or as a whole shipment?

Boxes are checked in individually, sent to me and Maureen to be sorted (either soft lines, which is clothing, or hard lines, which is everything else), then sent down a conveyor belt to either the girls who do apparel or everyone else who do the hard lines, who unpack the boxes, shove them all onto hummers, and when the hummers are full, run them out onto the floor. The boxes aren't on pallets, thankfully, since our stock room is tiny.

Do the boxes get scanned in or do you manually punch a box number into a computer?

They scan it before sending it down to us. It's just frustrating because they want us to perform like we've been doing this for years and we've only been doing it for a few weeks.

Has the person who is the lead, done this before? How long did it take at thier old location and was the volume similiar?

EVERYONE is new. The only person who was with the company prior to a month ago is the store manager, who says that no matter how many boxes we receive, we need to be done in 90 minutes.

Have they given a reason for 90 minutes? I dont suggest asking, just wanted to know if they gave you a reason for the time line? How long does it take?

Okay. Life goes on as normal here.

I saw my friend today, the one that is over 70 and was a little sick a month of so ago. She looks much better and even looked better than she did last week.

And then I had a little shopping to do.

Did I mention it? We decided to go to the American Women's Association Halloween Trunk or Treat party on Sunday. They hired out a local football field and you have to decorate your car boot or trunk.
I stalked them for American Independence Day last year because of the scav hunt. This time round, I figured I'd pay the money and be legit about it. The money goes towards the Royal Children's Hospital.

:scratchin I think I might have mentioned this before....

Anyway...I was shopping for items to decorate the trunk and went to a fabric and craft place. They had their Halloween stuff at 50% off. So, I managed to get a few things.

Doing well. What do you know about dvc points? Not getting any, chris and I were discussing what kind of points the resorts use.

We managed to get our golf flyer done so I can get them out for junes outing.
