In your TR pics from the tuplip fields, what is the desert? Looks like beignets with syrup on them.

It's Dutch mini pancakes. They are called poffertjers. There is a cast iron pan with 17 little holes. You put the mix in the hollows and it cooks over a low heat. Serve with any topping you like. I got the butter, icing sugar and chocolate syrup in the picture. I normally have it with maple syrup; but someone else got the chocolate ahead of me and it looked delish!

I saw that this morning and Unsubscribed myself from that thread. While it might be amusing for the poster, I find scrolling through pages and pages of nada from the same person annoying!

Oh man! this was my 8000 post and I meant to do it on my PTR, but our internet is all wonky and slow and I got all sidetracked trying to pull up my PTR and I went ahead and posted it here!

Alison - I don't subscribe to the Dad's thread. I just pop in once a day or so. Sometimes they just go on a spurt like that and I don't bother to catch up. Just post last and go. It is a very different thread; but can be fun. That bacon spurt was probably my fault.....there are some key words....like "bacon" that gets the dads all worked up in a frenzy.

No offence to the man that hang out with us (who is CLEARLY different), but....you know how men can get!
