Spring has definitely sprouted here....

And with it, come the sneezes and hayfever!



However, there is one small business/farm up in the local hills that will occasionally draw me out and about in Springtime.

This place....sells the Prince of Orange of all flowers.....

Tesselaar's is a family owned business and have been doing mail-order bulbs for the last 55 years. The family is originally from Holland....and every spring, for about 4 weeks, the farm is opened for a display of tulips. The family put the word out that the tulips had bloomed early this year and today was the opening day of the 4 week period. So, I made the effort to head for the hills to take a stroll around their 'garden'.

I had a meat pie for lunch....not really porn worthy...but these were...

I'm hoping to convince DH and DS to head up in 2 weekends time...it will be a Dutch themed weekend up there. Might be fun!

Thanks for the pics of the cars and trucks. The Jim beam one is neat looking. Its interesting because you might see things some where esle that you dont see here The flowers are so pretty they look like a rainbow. Festivals are always fun. Seems like your winter went quick. Fall is just starting here.

I cant wait to go up to apple hill in Oct. When I go I will take pics. Its a place with all kinds of farms in a various circle and you can pick pumpkins, fruits and eat til your hearts content. You can park you car in spot and use the free bus system to go from place to place.

When I rent its hard to hang laundry outside as its not my place to put up a clothes line. Once I get my own then I can. I do hang my clothes up inside because I dont like my clothes to shrink. My towels I use vineager in the rinse and they come out so soft. I use it on all my laundry.

PIO no work today on friday? Or are you off for two weeks now?


Queenie I hope conditions get better and maybe through all this you can find a different job.

Oh man! Don't get her started on HM stuff! We have a talking mirror, then another package arrived, it said HM Mirror on the side. I said we have a HM mirror....she says "This one doesn't talk"

We have a doorbell, oh and don't forget the POTC fireplace tools. For when we move into 1st Street. We're going to add on a second story so that we have a room to display all our Disney stuff.

Which reminds me...you guys are always mentioning using the dryer. Do you not use a clothesline even in summer in the US??
I haven't used our dryer except when desperate...

You're kidding right? I really thought that only people in third world countries used clotheslines. I don't have a place that I could hang a clothesline, nor could I imagine how long it would take to dry the many loads of laundry that are done here each week. My laundry guy works 8+ hours a week employing two washers and dryers to finish the task.
