Hey all! Working on an update. I am hoping to get it on soon. Just a little behind because Jon and I had DATE NIGHT last night!!!! Jon took a night off work and my aunt kept ours kids and we went out to dinner at outback! Yummy! WE got a gift card for Christmas and just used it last night! I have to say again! YUMMY!!!! Then after that we went to a concert. Not sure if any of you have heard of Winter Jam. Its a bunch of Christian Rock Groups that all get together and put on this major Rock Concert... and its only $10 a person for any seat!!! It was a great time! We picked the kiddos up this morning and have been just playing and enjoying. Now, Jon has gone to work for the night and the kids are tired of me! Guess I will get an update going!

What a great first night! Chef Mickey's is a MUST DO for all first timers, it beats standing in a long line to meet the Big Cheese

I loved Chef Mickey's I think it is the atmosphere! There is just "fun" in the air! The kids loved it too!

another great update- so glad you enjoyed Chef Mickey's. great pics and love the pillowcases. I did that on the Disney Cruise- you turn them into the guest services desk with your ziploc of sharpies and your name and you pick them up at the end of the cruise, all signed! you don't even have to go hunt down the characters for it! it was great.

That would be so great to just leave the pillowcases and come back later! Although, we didn't do a lot of characters in the parks. Most we ran into at a restaurant. It really worked out well. We did want to see Tink but the line was too long on our last day there. And that is the day I planned on do it. Brenda really didn't know about it so she wasn't too disappointed. She thought she saw her in Wishes and that was just when you got to see her.

I am considering it for our next trip, but Jack and I only do one TS meal on our fall trips since we pay OOP so I will be waiting for all of your reviews Do you still have the card the earrings came on? I have to call and order some other stuff, so I would be happy to order them for you and send them to you myself! If youstill had the card the price tag onthe back probably has enough info for them to find it... or even if you had the reciept... or if you go online and look up the purchase history on the gift card? I think you can do that at Disney's gift card website... I remember the earrings I used to love when I was little and it is devastating when you lose one!

I also wanted to tell you that Jack has just started watching Special Agent Oso so I totally get your TR title now, and i giggle everytime he says that!

I had saved the card the earrings came on, which is how I found out shipping a pair of earrings to me would cost so much. It was too close to Christmas and they would only ship air. The problem right now is I threw the card away right after Christmas. I had thought I was tossing the cards to the other Disney earrings she got for Christmas. I am a bad mom! Put all the earrings on Brenda's hanger and tossed all the card without thinking. If I could get that card back I would so be ordering those earrings today.

We are big Oso fans here! With all the plans that were made... and not kept I thought it was a perfect title... although, just like Oso, he figured out where the problems were and things always worked out in the end. That was our trip in a nutshell!

Things have been pretty yucky here lately and I have been neglecting this TR. I am not sure if I have any readers left or not. If I do I will go on with the TR but if not, I so understand.

Gavin and Brenda have both been sick lately. Gavin will have surgery again on March 14th. We are currently waiting for test results from some tests on Brenda. She has been vomiting for over a month... almost everyday. And of course Jon is working like crazy. So as you can see things have really been Yucky... to put it nicely!

Let me know if any of you are still here. Again, I completely understand if you have all given up on me!

I'm so sorry Gavin is needing surgery again; and poor Brenda...not the way I'd want to spend a month. Here's hoping for some good news really soon.

Thanks everyone! I will get back to the TR soon. To be honest I have been having a major case of the Disney blues. It just seems like everything (health wise) was perfect than and well, things are far from perfect for us now. What I wouldn't give to be going back soon. In fact, I was just telling Jon that I really need to just get us all away for a little while (anywhere). I know... I know... that is not going to happen but a girl can dream. I think it is just with everything that has been happening lately.

It is nice to know I still have readers though. I will get the next installment going soon... as soon as I figure out where I left off!

Just wanted to let you know that I'm still here and I'm sending lots of pixie dust your way for a healthy recovery for your family! I hope everything goes well with Gavin's next surgery and I hope you figure out what's wrong with Brenda and that it's nothing serious! When I was 7, I started getting sick like that too. At least twice a week and usually after I ate... turns out I was allergic to wheat and everything was completely manageable with the right diet. I hope hers turns out to be something minor or nothing at all as well!

We went to Winter jam last year!! Third Day and Tenth Ave North - loved it! And of course, newsboys....great time for a GREAT price!

This is (obviously) my first time posting on your trip report. Can't wait to hear more....your kiddos are beautiful!

Hello all! I know some of you who are my FB friends have been sending me messages and wondering what is going on. Well... The short of things... Gavin is still having issues. He most likely will till he has surgery on the 14th. They still can't figure out what is wrong with Brenda. We go back on the 8th. All the food allergy test came back negative and so did the blood work for appendicitis. So we keep trying to find the answers. Then there is Jon. Weds morning I got a call that he would be late coming home. He was headed to the ER. He somehow got his finger caught in the cooler/ locking door at work. He ripped a large piece of his finger out. Then after working the last 7 hours of his shift, it still would not stop bleeding so when he finished the shift he thought he should go get it checked... UGH! Men! Waiting till he is done with work! So he goes, they can't stitch it because there is no skin to sew back together. It is now packed and has to just try to keep from banging it around and putting more stress on it. Then comes Thursday morning... Kiddos have their dentist appt. Some of you will remember that Gavin fell in the snow and his front tooth has turned black. Well, after getting it checked out, they are going to leave it alone for now (since it is a baby tooth.). Early that morning I noticed Jon was moving slow and not bending and things. I asked him what was wrong. He pulled up his shirt and I see that his naval is EXTREMELY swollen, red and looks like it is on fire. So I get him an appt with the dr after taking the kids to the dentist. Turns out Jon has a hernia. So we are currently waiting to hear back from the dr to see what the next step will be. They are thinking most likely surgery, which Jon says he will put off till April 1 when our insurance starts the new year so that he isn't pay the deductible for nothing. AGAIN! UGH!!! MEN!!!

I am sure you all have to be getting tired of hearing our health issues but I swear that life isn't usually like this. Usually we are dealing with only Gavin but now everyone is on things.

So without farther ado I bring you our first day! I am hoping this will get my mind off of everything going on here...

We were all so eager to get out that morning. We had showered the kids the night before so that saved us some time. Everyone was so anxious to get going that we decided to just grab some pop tarts from the food stash we took and head to the bus. Brenda was dressed in her Cinderella gown and Gavin was wearing his pirate costume so I am sure you can imagine where this day was headed. We would catch the Magic Kingdom bus!!!!

We got to MK just in time to see RD! I was so excited. And yes, the tears started to roll down my cheeks as I watched the kids watching the show. There smiles stretched ear to ear and they were so happy and excited. It was BETTER than Christmas morning! Again, you must promise to keep it a secret but I glanced at Jon, who was taping it on our camera and saw too that he was emotional. I know he had to feel amazing for what he had given his family. What an amazing man I am married too!

We took the right hand entrance and we were soon inside. We didn't bother to stop and got our picture taken with the Christmas Mickey Bulb made out of flowers. We were on a mission!

Once we were just inside we see our VERY FIRST CHARACTER of the day...Pinocchio!!! He was enchanted with Brenda in her Princess gown... if only he had seen her later that day!

And of course, a family picture!

Both of these pictures were taken on the side where you really didn't get to see the castle yet. So we walked around the corner and saw this...

I can remember Brenda's words very clearly because I was thinking the same thing "MOM, We are really here! I have never seen anything so beautiful! Can we live here?" I feel like such a goof telling you all this but it really was such an emotional morning for me. We were here! There were many times I wondered if we would really make it. We really, really were here!

Walking up Main Street we caught some performers. Wow! I can imagine that some people who go often would take these things for granted but I wasn't missing a thing. I was going to drink it all in and not let a single memory pass me by. Besides, I kept reminding myself that this was indeed a once in a lifetime trip. So we stopped and watched the performers....

This is where we split for a little while. Jon and Gavin headed off to the Pirate league. Brenda and I were off to Bippity Boppity.
