I might as well do this now rather than after dinner! Or in the morning when we are trying to get everything done and out of here. It is our last full day at WDW.
I hate today. Every trip we take I hate today. 'nuff said...
We had a 9:30 reservation at Fresh in the Dolphin and decided to walk over. It is not far at all and it was a nice walk. It was hot, but you all have already figured that out.
Here is what we looked at as we went:
And, finally... we arrived!
To say we were disappointed would be an understatement. The last 4-5 times we ate breakfast here we loved the service and the food. Neither were good this time. For Bob to say it was "adequate" is saying a lot because he usually has nothing to say! The container of bacon caught on fire while we were eating and the smell was awful. The servers never bothered to tell anyone what was going on, just all left the dining room to go up and look at the burning pot. We were sitting near enough to that area of the buffet that we could see and knew it was OK, but some patrons were worried because of the stench. The best thing we can say about the meal was that their bacon was better than Cat Cora's! Well, before it caught on fire it was.
We left the dining room and headed for the dock to take a Friendship to Epcot. We were meeting Jennifer (tink2020) and her family at The Land where they planned to eat lunch.
We did find one another, but the twins were very hungry and needed to eat so it was a brief meeting and myBob took a photo with Jen's camera, but not mine!
What were we thinking?!?!? When Jen puts her photos up I will grab that one and put it in this report.
It was so hot we decided to go back to the room and get cooled off. On the way we saw so many of the things that keep us coming back every trip:
We stopped in at the Rose & Crown Pub for some time in the AC and for a pint. It is so gorgeous in there.
As we came back to the room we commented on how beautiful the Disney Resorts are. Since we have been to WDW so many times we go for different reasons than many people. We never once rode a ride this entire trip! Not even the monorail!!
But we certainly enjoyed the parks and the resorts. Here are just a couple of reasons why:
The entrance to the solarium
The beautiful landscaping
And it just feels nice to see this after a long day
The laundry is almost finished and most of the packing is done. I will update our dinner at Flying Fish either tonight, early in the morning or when we get home...
Day 6, continued here...
