November 8 will be the start of reopening of US to fully vaccinated foreign travelers from countries such as UK and Brazil.
Get ready for larger crowds and longer lines, especially around the holidays! AKA almost back to normal?

I am not convinced this is going to have a big impact. Many European countries are not allowing under 18 to get vaccinated, so I guess they can't in. They also have varying levels of testing/quarantine requirements upon return. It appears to be a big hassle/money for them still. It also remains to be seen what the US will count as "fully vaccinated". Many are worried about the mixed brand doses. I don't know if the US counts the Chinese or Russian vaccines, and those are the primary vaccines used in South America.

Mixed doses are approved. Any vaccine or combo that either CDC or WHO have approved for use (including those still under emergency approval).

Bigger crowds means fewer excuses for not bringing back some things we're still missing. Bring them on, the more the merrier.

Bigger crowds means MORE excuses for not bringing back some things we’re still missing. If guests will pay the same amount of money for fewer things, corporate management has less incentive to provide more for guests’ money.

I dont think there will be too many issue in FL - but it does remain to be seen - they just have to get there.
I would highly recommend direct flights
I've not paid too much attention to what the US is going to require from them.

I do know that many folks have had issues with AstraZeneca in the various places that require vaccination - like NYC - so Dual citizens that got the AstraZeneca in Ireland/UK for example - its not approved in the US and the NYC system is not accepting it - not sure if that has been addressed. As you said it is accepted for flights.

But again if your going to FL not really an issue.

Many of us in the UK still won't be able to gain entry because we have had the Astra Zeneca vaccine which isn't recognised as yet in the US. Kids over 12 can get jabs now any many have. The issue is that their parents may have had 'the wrong one'.

If its WHO approved you are good for flying as I understand it - and as long as your in FL there are no requirements

As noted above AstraZeneca WILL be accepted for entry into the US.

I guess this thread is as good as any drop in on the subject of crowds. We’re hanging here at WL today 10/16 but we were at MK yesterday 10/15.

Why did Touring Plans predict that it would be a “1” for crowds? It sure wasn’t. Was it crowded because it had a boo bash? And shouldn’t TP have known this and adjusted accordingly?

(also the TP lines times were waaaayyyy off)

But you know that you like being surrounded by our marvellous British accents, our superb manners and charming ways. 😉

We all (I assume) had our list of things we were going to do while home bound during COVID shutdowns and quarantines. All I asked of my husband was that he learn how to do a British accent. So far he still sounds like a Yankee:sad2:

The biggest problem for Brazilians now is the high exchange rates for the US Dollar. US$ 1,00 is now R$ 5,70. Minimum wage is around US$ 210,00. Thanks to the pandemic.

BUT international travel requires planning (usually), and flights are so much more expensive at the moment than they had been, plus fewer parents are willing to take their kids out during school now that they're back in-person especially with quarantine requirements varying once they return home. So I doubt it will really impact crowds much until next summer. Just because they can land in the US on November 8 doesn't mean most people are trying to book an international Disney trip 1-2 months out!

No, but people already have trips planned (just read the UK boards) that they’ve kept shifting as needed.

I agree. Just because people are finally allowed to travel, doesn’t mean most will right away.
