It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Ummm...well, you already know Jeff needs her own personal fly swatter so....nope we're good!

:lmao: I'll make sure it's available.

At least now I know how to stop you in your tracks... just put on an impromptu parade.

So next time we get together.....I can expect that??

Yeah, like if we did a parade (with Piper bringing up the rear, of course) it wouldn't embarrass the heck out of you.

No, on second thought. You wouldn't be embarrassed, but Shan would.

Jeff would just laugh and point.

Why did you think that? What was he doing/saying?

Yelling, swearing, calling his wife names cause she couldn't keep up with the other child....it was just so sad!

Ugh. I'm sure all the other parents around were just thrilled with him too.

two words? "luv ya" That was it right? No?

Close but no....ask Ruby, she'll tell ya!

I'm sure she has...

Many times!

Shan would be right there with ya...she hates this ride!

I like her more now.

Ummmm. ... what??? You think you can just slip that in with no explanation!!! I need details!!!

Coming up

We decided that there was no way, no how we were going to take a trip next (now this) year. Then Elle said she wanted to go to WDW for her 16th birthday.

Ruby and I decided that if we did that then we'd have to spend the same amount on Kay's 16th and who knows if we'll be able to?

So we decided to instead make it a summer trip. Then I mentioned to Ruby that for the price of a Disney trip, we could do a Europe trip...

So we're going to Paris for 3 days, Germany (Cologne, Rhine cruise, Frankfurt, Munich/Bavaria) for a week, Venice for 3 days.

Did I tell you that Shanleigh bought me a wine glass for Christmas....it holds an entire bottle of wine.....I think she might have been trying to tell me something!

:lmao:

Please tell your 3 ladies that we said hi!!

Will do! We were talking about you guys this morning 'cause we went to the Pancake House at the Forks.

I'm a little behind from being sick last week, but slowly catching up. Love your morning/early afternoon in Epcot. I'm with you...love getting to WS early before the crowds arrive and stroll through the shops. And, France, my favorite with the slush (although I prefer the Grand Mariner). Jasmine never takes a bad picture.

671.jpg

We split a pizza so we could have these.....if you know Shanleigh at all, you know she loves everything chocolate and never waivers from it! My dessert is one of my favourites in the World! I get it everytime we are here or at Tutto Italia!

YUM! What exactly is that dessert?

Sounds like a really nice morning in Epcot. I'm sorry to hear that the rain troubled you ladies for the rest of the trip though.

We LOVED Via Napoli last trip! I could go for some of that pizza right now.

So... I thought I had commented and now I don't see it, so I'm thinking I forgot. But if this is my second time posting, don't mind me!
What a lovely morning in Epcot! Sounds like you gals got a lot done before the storm hit. I love looking around the countries.
I must eat at Via Napoli some time! i say that every time I read a post about it. Looks so good!

Me too!! It's only -26 here today and it's sad when you think that's warm!! All of last week we were in the -40's with the wind chill and apparently we'll be in a deep freeze again by Wednesday! The cold was bad enough, but as soon as it warmed up (and I use that term loosely) it snowed! We took our lives in our hands yesterday on these city streets that's for sure!

It's one of our favourites and it's on our list for next time!!!!

OMG!! That's pretty cold. Being from south Louisiana, I don't like it when it gets in the 30's. :rotfl:

It's great to have you back. I haven't been on here much either, sometimes life just gets in the way.

Jaime

A quick "hello" my friend. Beautiful pics:thumbsup2

Hey girl:hug: We were just talking about you guys the other day there and saying how your cruise was right around the corner! You guys are gonna have a blast! Is your hubby go to do a TR for that one....I sure hope so!

Oh no! I hope your back to being better very soon:hug: See Kath, another reason we need to be there at the same time....I would love to share a slush with you in WS!

I agree, she is pretty photogenic!

YUM! What exactly is that dessert?

So yummy! I jsut looked it up and it's not showing on the menu online :confused3 It was vanilla gelato, some biscoti, marinated dark cherry's and it was pure deliciousness (not a word, but works well in this situation) I first tried it at Tutto Italia ....oh and another little tidbit of info it was $14:rolleyes1

Shanleigh and I have motto that we really try to live by whenever we're in the world and it's raining....still better than being at work or school LOL

You and me both friend! I love that pizza and I love the atmosphere in there!

Better twice than not at all right? But I don't think you did so all good! I have those moments far too many times:rotfl2:

It is hands down our favourite thing to do in the World. I can't wait to do it again in December with all the holiday decorations! Via Napoli will be visited again, I assure you :woohoo:

Hey Jaime, so glad you're still reading! Real life sometimes is just too much to get other things accomplished and I just said to myself that it was ok! I think it happens to all of us!

When I went to leave for work yesterday it was -45 degrees the lady I drive with on Friday's sent me a text saying her car wouldn't start even though it was plugged in! Glad mine started!

Hope you are all well!

Good Saturday morning everyone! We have had a week of extreme cold but apparently it's supposed to warm up by Wednesday! Yesterday the young lady that I drive with called me at 630am to tell me her car wouldn't start even though it was plugged in! I know all my Canadian readers will get this but I think unless you've experiences -45 degrees it's hard to imagine just how cold that feels! You skin will freeze in under 10 under minutes so a hat, scarf, mitts, ski pants and a good jacket are all a must! Shanleigh splurged last year on a Canada Goose jacket and I thought she was nuts but man she was the smart one! She often reminds me of how toasty she is when we're out!

An old friend of mine said to me on FB this week, have you ever asked your parents why they choose Canada to immigrate to and not the south of Italy, Florida etc etc to which I replied I did ask my dad that very question this week. His reply brought a tear to my eye and I wanted to share his entire response with you! He said, because it's a great country where you get to see all four seasons every year. You are blessed to watch the crocuses (our provincial flower) peak their heads through the snow in the spring, in the summer you get to swim in some of the most beautiful lakes in the world, in the fall you see the prairie fields in all their colourful glory and in the winter you can skate on the rivers, tobaggan at the park and have the best snowball fights! How right he is...we are lucky and I'm going to remember this until I see the crocuses in the spring!

Ok, enough about the weather and on to another update! TS Beryl had hit and hit she did! We had to keep reminding ourselves of how much we could do inside but we would have preferred to be outside in the sun!
678-1.jpg

Today we headed to DHS! Our first stop, as usual, is Shanleigh's favourite rides! The wait was not bad so we did them twice!
679-1.jpg

Someone (not me) had to use the ladies room so I thought I would take a pic to capture the moment:rotfl2:
680.jpg

...and this one
681.jpg

this one too! This one is blurry, not sure why I chose it, but I did so here it is:lmao:
682.jpg

At our first destination and as you can see it doesn't look bad right? Wrong! As soon as you rounded the corner the line was right there!
683.jpg

I couldn't help but take this picture! She cracks me up! Silly girl of mine! I didn't put my hands up this time because I wasn't sure the little guys behind us would ever ride this again so I thought if they wanted to buy the picture they could at least see them! 100% sure, they are never riding again! Hysterics were well in order the entire ride!
684.jpg

Hollywood Studios sign...note, we're still outside but this would be the last shot outside! The skies opened so we headed to the Animation Studios!
685.jpg

My girl being silly! She cracks me up sometimes!
686.jpg

While we were waiting for the next class to begin we thought we would see these two! So fun!
687.jpg

This little guy was a few families behind us and Shanleigh thought he was the cutest thing ever so we missed the class so we could see him with his heros!
688.jpg

He was a pure entertainer and so excited we thought he would burst!
689.jpg

At one point Mr Incredible walked away and it was just the two of them...absolutely precious!

We finally made our way over to the class and today we drew Goofy! I don't know what I was thinking because I don't have one picture of our drawings! Shanleigh's was amazing as usual :rolleyes2 and mine I must admit was a step up from Tigger of last trip but now you'll never know cause I don't have the proof!

Shan and I are heading out for a little shopping, lunch and manicures this afternoon so I will leave her here and catch up tomorrow! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hello Queen!!

So sorry you ladies had to deal with a TS... looks like you made the best of it though. I loved the pics of the little boy with the Incredibles- too cute. :goodvibes
And I just love the answer your dad gave as to why your family lives in Canada. That is truly a great way to look at it since I live in Ohio and also experience the 4 seasons! My family lived in Florida for a year or so when I was 6 but had to move back because my grandpa got sick. Now I have a different way of looking at it. ;)

Well, if you're interested I started my TR from our recent trip and the link is in my siggie. Hope you and Shan are well!!

 Carla

One February, many years ago, we skied at Lake Placid NY. On several morning the temperature was minus 33 WITHOUT the wind chill. It was the first time I ever felt my nose hairs freeze. :rotfl: They canceled school all throughout the region simply because it was too cold for kids to wait outside for the bus. BRRRRRRRRRRRRH! Stay warm.

Yeah for ToT! What the heck is Shan doing? :confused3 :rotfl:

That little boy is adorable.

Cruise trip report - I will probably do one but I may spread it out over 9 or 10 months. :rotfl2:

Queen, how come your dad didn''t mention the Winnipeg mosquitos? :lmao:

I love your dad's explanation as to why he chose Canada. :)
In Michigan we get 4 distinct seasons too and I do think I'd miss that if we ever moved. (even tho winter seems too long ;))

Great update! You girls look like you were having a lot of fun and making great memories. The little "Mr Incredible" looks adorable. It's fun to watch the little ones since ours our grown :)

I love your dad's reason for moving to Canada:goodvibes. And he's so right. In Georgia, we tend to skip entire seasons, or to have extremes within the same season (heck, the same week!). Canada sounds great about now.

Those guys on ToT may not ride again, but it was brave of them to try. My kids may never even attempt it:rotfl2:! So thoughtful of you to let them have their good once-in-a-lifetime picture.

The mini-Mr. Incredible is adorable! I would have skipped a class to see his happiness, too!

I am going to attempt the drawing class for the first time on our next trip. My girls are getting pretty good at following directions to draw things, so I think they'll enjoy it (and Sawyer can just scribble if he wants:thumbsup2). We'll see if my drawings can compare to yours, Queen:rotfl:!

I've been thinking about you and Shan this week while we've been hearing about the awful temps you guys have been experiencing. We've seen quite a bit of the -40 stuff here too, but luckily we've been getting breaks between. Hopefully things warm up for you guys soon:goodvibes

I love Shanleigh's mickey shirt...did she get it at forever 21 by any chance?

The animation academy was one of our fave places the last trip, although for me it was more about the experience than the finished product since an artist I most definitely am not.

I love the little guy with the incredibles...he just looks so excited and what an amazing costume!

Your Dad's answer about Canada was amazing and very true!

Your afternoon plans of shopping and manicues sounds so nice, Can't wait to hear more about your vacation :goodvibes

I will never complain about our 10 degrees here again. -45?!?!? You ladies have earned those manicures!!!

I loved the update. Shanleigh is a hoot, as always. How precious was that little boy? Little kids in Disney...:cloud9:

We couldn't believe we were going to be hit by another storm...in all of our trips we've been hit by Hurricane Ernesto in 2006, TS Faye in 2008 and then this! Oh well, can't control Mother Nature, even tho I wish I could :rotfl2:

Isn't it great to experience all four seasons! As soon as it warms up we'll be heading to the rivers for some skating....something we haven't done yet this year!

Already subbed girl! Great job so far!

Loved the update! That little guy was so
Cute!!
Have a great day and stay warm!!

Debbie:beach:

Wasn't he adorable and so excited! I love watching the little ones when they truly get it!

Had a great day and thought of you when we stopped at Saucers for dinner! Sounds like it's about to warm up a little...here's hoping!

It's the worst feeling ever isn't it:lmao: We had many school cancellations around the city this past week because of the buses, but in the city, they were all open!

Hanging on to the side making a spectacle of herself:lmao:

He really was so cute and it was so funny to listen to him in line as we all waited for them to come out!

Cruise trip report - I will probably do one but I may spread it out over 9 or 10 months. :rotfl2:

Ok...I deserved that one! Can't wait to read yours tho! Take it the week you guys are going is spring break?

He did forget to mention those little critters didn't he? I can only imagine how terrible they will be this summer ...

I love your dad's explanation as to why he chose Canada. :)

Doesn't this winter seem especially long? I am ready for spring to come at any time!

I miss those times as I know you do Dawn! When we get to experience a little ones joy at meeting someone they admire, you just have to take the time and enjoy it! Time just passes too quickly!

We have a saying here...."if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes" and it's so true! Well, except for the past few weeks :lmao:

Those little guys were absolutely terrified, I felt so bad for them! But they may decide to try it again when they are older!

You'll have to share because you know, no matter what, your's will be better than mine:lmao:

Aww thanks! I've heard you guys weren't having a great winter either! I have an old friend who lives in Moose Jaw and she posts on FB mostly about the snow...I asked her if she stopped going to the gym because she gets her workout shovelling!:lmao:

Yup, that's exactly where she got that shirt!

It's just a fun place to hang out isn't it? Shanleigh and I are terrible in the classes because we laugh so hard at my drawings! She took art in school and is quite goood, I am not!

My dad is a pretty special man!

Had a great day together, a little longer than we planned to be out, but we had a blast!

I will never complain about our 10 degrees here again. -45?!?!? You ladies have earned those manicures!!!

Thanks hon! We had a great day!

Shanleigh keeps me entertained that's for sure! She insisted we wait after listening to his plans about the poses he was going to do and what he was going to tell them....precious is right!

It is spring break for us during the cruise plus an extra day this time. Cruise is Sunday to Thursday and then we will stay with Pooksma's parents until Monday.

Nice! Shan has reading week the week of the 18th which is also President's Week in the states so we won't be going anywhere! Prices are ridiculous during that time so she's just going to work and save her pennies for Disney!
