It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Hi queen! Glad to see you back ! Great updates!
Yay for booking your trip!!! We are thinking about the same time!!! That would
Be awesome to meet up in Disney!

Debbie:cool1:

Hi! Welcome back :) Great updates! I cannot believe that a father actually knocked over a woman with his stroller! And didn't even have the humanity to say sorry or be ashamed of himself! And saying such nasty words to you... Oh man. Crowds really do bring out the worst in some people!

Glad you have another trip booked! We will be there the same time! I'm so excited to see it all done up for Christmas. Looking forward to your PTR!

Sorry I'm just an innocent gentleman from the East Coast, what would the two words the guy with the stroller said to you? I can't figure them out. :lmao:

Some people are just crazy!

That reminds me of the first time my husband and I went to Disney together. We were standing on the curb on Main Street deciding what we wanted to do first. This little boy of about 5 comes running down the sidewalk and runs head first at full speed into my husband. My husband is a big man, so other than hurting his knee, he didn't budge. Of course the kid bounced off of him like a bouncey ball. My husband reached down quickly to keep the child from falling down and hurting himself. The mother comes running over screaming at the top of her lungs, "STOP TOUCHING MY CHILD! HE IS TRYING TO TOUCH MY CHILD!" My husband just kind of looked at her dumbfounded while I looked at the woman and told her as nicely as I could that if she had bothered to watch her child, it wouldn't have happened. She then decides to start yelling. Before 3 words came out of her mouth, a CM came over and told her she should thank us for helping her child. We just walked away shaking our heads.

Here I am .... finally LOL. I have missed you and hope you have an amazing trip:flower3:

It's great to hear from you again, glad all is well! Also, thank you for the good wishes~we leave tomorrow at noon! :goodvibes

Going back to read your update now! Take care and talk to you again soon! ::yes::

 Carla

Hi, I am SO ENJOYING your trip report!! But when I read your latest post I had to go back and check the dates of your trip. You see my DD and I were in MK that night also!! That was THE MOST CROWDED I have EVER seen the MK for the parade and fireworks.(and we have been visiting WDW for the past 25 years!) My DD and I were trying to get thru the hub crowd and down Main Street to leave the park and there was only an area for one person to walk thru at a time! My DD held on to me for dear life and she is 28. At one point I started having a severe pain in my leg and I just could not walk. When I tried to rest up against a rail for a few minutes a CM said I had to move. Well my DD spoke up and said my Mom has to rest she is in pain! The CM was very concerned and offered to call a medic for me. (how they would have gotten thru THAT crowd was beyond me) I said no just let me lean for a few minutes and then I should be okay. The CM told me take my time, she was very nice and quite concerned. I rested for about 10 mins, thanked her and we continued on our way. right out of the park. But that was the SCARIEST crowd I have ever seen in the MK. And I have been in MK on 4th of July and Thanksgiving!! (Both during the day, not at night) Joan

It continues to amaze me how rude and ignorant some people can be.

We learned after going to the MK on 4th of July back in 2004, never to go on a holiday itself (or that weekend for that matter) again.

Love the photos and update (except for the rude people).

Well, I have to say that I'm relieved that it wasn't you that got brutalized with the stroller, but WOW! Just Wow. I guess I'll never stop being surprised at how rude people can be.

We are never among the first to the parade route, so Bryan always moves as far back as he can and puts Mads on his shoulders. On this last trip we were shocked and pleased that people offered to let Maddie sit up front with their children. While it is amazingly sweet for people to offer, we'd never expect it to happen!

Not only were people were hitting each other with strollers, they were doing it with their children strapped to them???? What is this world coming to if we can't be happy in the Magic Freaking Kingdom?????? So very, very sad.

Hi Queen, welcome back, we have missed you, but i completely understand about checking out for a bit....
ya know some people.....:furious:
I guess the silver lining is that those people do not see the magic of the place and perhaps they will not return to our happy place...:rolleyes1

Glad to see/read you back....

KIM

Oh. my. goodness. I can't believe (actually I probably can) the man with the stroller or the mom at the parade. Maybe they'd been at the parks all day, and they were hot and tired.....Maybe..... ;)

So glad to see you are back & updating! I have been missing this TR! :goodvibes

Okay, WOW, that is some crazy stuff! Luckily, the few times we have watched the nighttime parade, we haven't witnessed anything so crazy. But then someone smashing into people with a stroller?!? That is just loony!! I don't get how people don't understand that at the end of the night, we are all trying to get to the same place. :confused3 Injuring other people is not necessary!!

That's awful that that man acted like that! I guess he missed his pixie dust that morning. I don't understand how anyone, an adult no less, could act like. Everyone wants out of those crowds, not just him. Very cool that you and your daughter were able to laugh instead of really letting it get to you. That can be hard sometimes!

Wow, people like that make me so mad! I am glad you are back to updating! I hope you enjoyed the holidays :) I took a break from my TR also and finally did an update a few weeks ago and it felt so good lol. I look forward to more!!

Welcome back! :cool1: for booking your next trip!

Shan's top is so cute!

Bacon on a cupcake? Now I've seen everything! :faint;

Hi Queen! Or should I say Jacquie!

Not sure if you remember me, but I've posted on your TRs before and I know you read some of mine. Anyway, I stumbled across your TR the other day and read through it all over 2 days! It sounds like such a perfect trip so far, hope it continues. Can't wait for another update.

Hi Jacquie! Welcome back! I've been neglectful of my TR reading last few days so now I'm playing catch up.

Can you ever forgive me? I have been away from the Dis for 2 and a half months and all I can say is I just needed a break from it.

Well... Since I just admitted that I've been neglectful myself, I'll forgive you....

But just this once.

Unfortunately, I had let it consume my life and between that and work I needed to walk away and put things in perspective.

Yeah, I hear ya. You can get so involved in this stuff that everything else suffers. I've had to restrain myself a couple of times from jumping on more TRs... I can barely manage the ones I'm reading now! :sad2:

I have missed you all terribly but if I hadn't have taken a break, I'm not sure that I would have ever finished this TR!

We missed you too! I was starting to get a little worried. "Should I phone her? Make sure everything's okay?

Then I checked my PM list... and I don't have your number! How'd that happen?

But here I am and considering we have officially booked our next trip, I have to finish this one to start a brand new PTR!

:lmao: Oh, whoa is you! You have to finish this TR 'cause you're off to Disney again!

but I know I have a few great Dis friends that will still read

::yes::

As we wandered around it was hotter than you-know-what

What? A stove? An oven? A BBQ? Could you clarify please?

:rolleyes1:

it brings back the memories of our very first trip when Shanleigh had a meltdown because she thought they were real and that they were firing at us....makes me laugh just thinking about it!

When the girls were 4 and 8, we didn't even get past the entrance! :rotfl:

I think by now you have guessed where we are.....

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess... Disney World?

617.jpg

Everytime I look at this picture of Shan it reminds me of how hot it was that day.....

 Not now Mother! <schlork> <schlork> <schlork>

I had the sliders which were delicious but I only ate one and a bit of another and I was full!

I can imagine! Even though they're small compared to 'normal' size burgers... that looks like a lot of grub!

Shan loved her dish, she could eat fish and shellfish til the cows came home so she made quick work of this!

Wait, "eat fish and shellfish til the cows came home." I'm a little confused... did she have seafood or beef?

There's a new sushi place across from St. Vital Centre that's called Shelfish. Haven't tried it though, but I like the name.

since we hadn't been on the train yet this trip that we would take a loop around the park

Sorry, what? Perhaps I misread. Did you say you guys were loopy?

I'll buy that.

One of my dream hotels that I hope one day to stay at....

Really? It looks like a big air conditioning unit to me. But if you say you want to stay there, well... okay. :confused3

She tells me it's the best dessert on property...what is it you ask....let me tell you! It's a chocolate cupcake with banana cream filling, topped with peanut butter frosting and candied bacon.

Candied bacon? On a cupcake?

She wasn't sure about the bacon but the young man behind the counter assured her it was delicious so she thought she'd give it a try! SHE LOVED IT!!!! Really, it's bacon, what's not to love!

Well, all right. If you say so. I'm game to give it a try.

My next update will reveal where the title of this TR came from......::yes::

Oh, good. I've been wondering if you forgot about your title.
Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes:

Ok... what!?!? Wow, people can be so crazy sometimes! I can't believe the CMs had to escort the lady out who was arguing with the poor young couple, and even though I had a good guess about the title's origins, that's nuts that he actually knocked someone down! Johnny and I usually stay put after the fireworks and let the crazy pushy people go, I take pictures and wander around the castle and then we leave. Your stories just reaffirmed my plans!
On a much happier note... the Brave merch is adorable! I LOVE the reversible triplet!! I might have had to come home with him...
I felt so sorry for that poor lady...she showed great class tho...something I'm not sure I would have done in that situation
Yay! You're back! Bacon on cupcakes it amazing. We had chocolate bacon cupcakes at our wedding! And tonys is my favorite!
And hockey's back! And both our teams sucked yesterday :( hopefully we'll bounce back.

Glad you're back!

And yuuuup...made that mistake this trip. MK Saturday night, veteran's day weekend (remembrance day in Canada?). I wanted to die

Oh my...those cupcakes sound delicious! Isn't it exciting that hockey is back! I was so happy when we beat Washington the other night there!!!

Holy moly it's amazing how crowds like that can certainly bring out the crazies :confused3 That is insane on both counts of the crazy people, and I can't believe people seriously can act like that in public and be ok with themselves.

Saturday nights at MK are always the worst in my opinion period, so adding that it was a holiday weekend yikes! I can certainly see why you guys feel like avoiding that time period again.

Love the brave stuffie that Shan wanted....i'm not sure I would have been able to say no to him. Kudos to her for doing so
Crazies is right....just when you think you've seen it all....BAM...someone surprises you!

I will never go to the MK on a Saturday night again period!!! Learned my lesson!

I love the Brave stuff! Caitlin and I just got "brave" shirts to wear in May :)

As I was reading how you were enjoying your wait I had a bad feeling. Been there and done that too many times not to know the crazies will show up! Glad you ladies were at least able to laugh about it :goodvibes

Oh I can't wait to see them!

They always do don't they? I don't know why it still surprises me:rotfl:

So looking forward to the coffee! Thank you!!

Wow! What a nightmare, some people are just unbelievable! Cannot get over the one lady getting escorted out and then the madman stroller Dad! Yikes!!

I know you saw my FB post about our horrid weather this week so unfortunately I haven't made it to the post office to mail your coffee but the cold snap is supposed to end this weekend so Shanleigh and I will be venturing out then and I'll get it out to you!

Hope you're having a great week!

Wouldn't that be great! You'll have to keep me posted!

Thank you so much:goodvibes You're right....crowds and heat are not a good combination for keeping people in good moods!

I can't wait to be there and see it all decked out in it's holiday finest! Maybe we'll run into each other:thumbsup2

Sorry I'm just an innocent gentleman from the East Coast, what would the two words the guy with the stroller said to you? I can't figure them out. :lmao:

I'll send you a PM...family site and all :rotfl:

I am sitting here reading this with my mouth hanging open! I can only imagine your shock....I cannot believe some ppl!!! Walking away was probably the best thing you could have done!

Yipee! So glad you're back!
I can't believe how crazy some people are!
So happy you're still reading! I'm sure you're as sick as we are about this frigid weather!

It's great to hear from you again, glad all is well! Also, thank you for the good wishes~we leave tomorrow at noon! :goodvibes

Going back to read your update now! Take care and talk to you again soon! ::yes::

It's nice to know people do care and Disney has some of the best people working for them that's for sure!!

I have definitely learned my lesson and I think if I ever forget, Shanleigh will remind me in a hurry!

I have no problem with little ones standing in front and I gladly invite them but that one mother was just a tyrant! Shocked at people's behavious!

LOL...I know, right? I thought this guy is a maniac and you never know what else they're capable of!! Magic Kingdom wasn't so magic that evening :scared1:

Hi Queen, welcome back, we have missed you, but i completely understand about checking out for a bit....

Hi Kim...I have missed you too and am so happy you've stuck with me!

You are so right...we should pity them! They miss so much out of life!

Oh. my. goodness. I can't believe (actually I probably can) the man with the stroller or the mom at the parade. Maybe they'd been at the parks all day, and they were hot and tired.....Maybe..... ;)
I think we've all had one experience where people just shock us! Maybe....here's hoping;)

So glad to see you are back & updating! I have been missing this TR! :goodvibes

Thank you for reading!!!

I like that! Missed his pixie dust...gonna remember that one! It can be hard sometimes to laugh when you really want to scream but one look at each other and we were done! That's a problem we have and sometimes we can't control our laughter!

Wow, people like that make me so mad! I am glad you are back to updating! I hope you enjoyed the holidays :) I took a break from my TR also and finally did an update a few weeks ago and it felt so good lol. I look forward to more!!
Hey Doll!

I have to swing over and catch up on your TR too! Hope you are both well!

Thanks Mary Ellen!!!

I am so excited about this next trip ... I can hardly stand it!

It is cute isn't it? I loved the colour on her!

Apparently it's delicious! You'll have to try it!
