It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Joining in (a bit late) due to Shannon's (shan23877) recommendation!

I am LOVING your TR!!!!! I have this great hope that my 5-year-old daughter will grow to a be a teen (and beyond) who still wants to do Disney trips with her mommy. pixiedust: Your TR gives me hope! :lovestruc

Both your Epcot and MK days look great! And I am so glad that you enjoyed your Coral Reef meal. Seems like it gets mixed reviews here, but we loved it on our first trip in 2010 - that mahi mahi was so good! :thumbsup2

Looking forward to more!

I love the picture of you both and Merida! Adorable! Ohhh, I wish that lobster Mac and cheese was there the last time we were at the Coral Reef!! It looks delicious!

That's really cool that you were able to meet Merida! What a nice surprise!

Glad you both enjoyed your Coral Reef meal. I was on the fence about eating there in May, but I'm so happy I kept the ADR. The two other members in my party ordered the same dishes you and Shanleigh got, and they were delicious. I ended up eating 3/4ths of the rice that came with the Mahi Mahi because it was amazing!

And I have to agree with Shanleigh on the chocolate wave. It is one of the best desserts found in WDW. The minute I took a bite, it reminded me of the chocolate mousse from Palo aboard the Magic, which is like the crown jewel of the Disney cruises. :rotfl:

How awesome you met Merida, she looks so sweet!
I've never eaten at Coral Reef, but your food looks so good, I need to try it out one day :thumbsup2

Catching up... catching up... so far behind... catching up...

I want to get this update completed before the weekend starts. Looking to be a pretty good one here so that means we’ll be outside enjoying it!

I hear it was crazy hot last wknd. Sorta glad we missed it, kinda bummed we missed it. When are you guys coming over for some pool time?

We decided to have lunch at Cosmic Rays and once again, I forgot to take pics of our lunch. We split a hot dog and fries and we each had a water. It was yummy! I love a hotdog every now and then and this was the day!

Hot dogs. The perfect meal you can hold in your hand. Or, according to DD15, the perfect meal... period.

This is when we realized that this was where we would get to meet a very important lady……

That's so cool! At first I was like, "Who's Merida? She looks like the girl from Brave."

Duh! That was such a great movie. How was she? Was she as good in real life as 'she' was in the movie?

I’ll wait forever to see someone if there is a Wish Family in front of us.

Yeah, there are some things you just don't rush.

Do we look happy or what!

::yes::

After our meet we meandered out but not before we looked thru a few stores.

I sashay. But to each their own.

I picked this purse up and put it down probably 10 times…but just couldn’t justify the $210 price tag. I have my Princess D & B and that would be the only one I would be having. Yup, I walked away!

The force to say no is strong with this one.

And I just had to get a shot of The Avenger monorail....it was awesome!

Cool! :thumbsup2

We had another great afternoon by the pool and then showered and got ready for our dinner at Coral Reef!

But no pictures? You're slipping!

My girl all dressed up for dinner!

Cutie patootie. :)

My delicious Mahi Mahi….with laughing bird shrimp …. So delicious

It looks amazing. I've never heard of laughing bird shrimp.

Of course my daughter order the deluxe mac and cheese with lobster and I swear there was a whole lobster in this dish!

OMG that sounds sooooo good. Me want. Now.

She loved it and said she would go back again just for this….she loves her lobster!

Who doesn't?

Once we were finished our fantastic meal we wandered a little and then headed back to the hotel.

Still a good time for sashaying, I'd say.

She ended up with R2D2 and she was beyond thrilled.

Not into it myself, but that's the one I'd want if I was.

Did that make sense?

All in all another fabulous day at our fabulous place!

What a great day! Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

Yay, you guys got to meet Merida! :cool1: She looks so adorable, I love her hair and her dress! I really want to meet her in November, I hope the lines for her don't get crazy like they are for Rapunzel! :p

Coral Reef looks amazing, I have never eaten there! Everything you guys had looks so good though, now I kind of want to make an ADR there for November! I know my DH would love that lobster mac and cheese, he loves anything with lobster! :cool1:

Her hair was really amazing! It looks like her real hair! I think we lucked in with the timing of walking out of the restaurant and the line being right there with only about 5 families in front of us.

CR gets a lot of bad reviews on here but other than one really bad server, we've never had a bad meal or time there!:thumbsup2

Thanks so much! :goodvibes I can't believe he is almost 2 already!

Loved the update. How great that y'all stumbled upon Merida with a short wait! Her hair looks fantastic. She's adorable!

That lobster mac & cheese has me drooling at 8 in the morning! We have never eaten at Coral Reef, but when Paxton is older, I'd love to. I think he'd love seeing the huge fish tank! And DH and I love seafood. Plus with the way the Chocolate Wave is always raved about in your TR's, I feel like I need to try it asap!! I love a good dessert. :thumbsup2

I can't believe he's almost 2 either and I love his name btw!

You'd swear her hair was her's...I know it isn't but it's that good!

The fish tank would definitely keep him entertained that's for sure. And if you love a good dessert, Shanleigh said you'll love the chocolate wave:thumbsup2

:woohoo: for meeting Merida, that looks like such a fun interaction. We watched some videos of it and the girls were very impressed with her accent!

Great dinner and a beautiful picture :goodvibes Coral Reef starts out on my list but has not made the final cut...maybe next time!

Merida was such a great meet....one of the best we've ever had! Having Scottish parents and, well, everyone in our extended family is Scottish, she had the accent down pat!

It's hard to get in all the ADR's we want isn't it? I think next time we'll look at doing some we haven't done in a while or at all:scratchin

Sounds like such a great day!! Merida is adorable, I hope we get to meet her next trip!! We LOVED the movie and we trying to do the accent, but we are horrible at it :rotfl:

Coral Reef looks like it was an awesome meal, we have never been there, but it is on the list to try one day :thumbsup2

I hope you get to meet her too she is a delight!

It's nice to always have some place you've never been to! I have a few that I want to try the next time we get down there!

LOVE that dress. I want to steal her wardrobe.
The Mac & Cheese looks amazing! Did that replace the lobster ravioli? If not, how am I supposed to choose between those two in November?! Ahhh. Looks delicious.

Also, I misread this line "Not over the top but attentive enough." as "but attractive enough" :rotfl: Like it didn't matter if he was good because he was at least good looking. I had to re-read that. haha

LOL...she picked that dress up in March when we went to the states at Target for $15! She likes a good bargain but will spend a lot if she loves something!

I don't remember seeing lobster ravioli on the menu! Maybe it did:confused3

You make me laugh girl....glad you are all safe and sound btw:flower3:

:cool1: that you met Merida! Declan and I went to see Brave this past week. We both really liked it.

Yummy pics from Coral Reef. We always enjoy our meals there.

We have yet to see the movie:blush: we really need to do that:thumbsup2

Us too....one of our favourites! Hope you guys are having a great summer!

Okay, so I'm like a month late, but I'm here! What an amazing (and laid-back) start to your trip. Two truly awesome days at my favorite parks!
So glad you're here! Everytime I think back on this trip it brings a smile to my face...it was awesome
Glad to hear you had another good meal at Raglan Road, we're trying it for the first time in October. And I was also happy to see you liked Coral Reef. That place gets such mixed reviews that I'm always chickening out of booking an ADR there. But now that our home base at Disney will be Boardwalk, we may have to give Coral Reef a chance!
I can't wait to hear what you think...make sure you let me know! or I'll just read your TR! Your homebase is Boardwalk...a little jealous over here;)
All the reports from the new Merida M&G have said she's lots of fun. I loved the movie, so I can't wait to meet her in a couple of months. :goodvibes
You're gonna love her she was amazing!
I'm sorry Jeff couldn't make it on the trip, but that was so awesome to take lots of pictures of the stuff he'd love. So sweet!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip. :flower3:
He was definitely missed that's for sure! I would have given anything to see him in the butterfly house:rotfl2:

I am really enjoying your TR". Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. I love that you and your daughter share the Disney passion.

Thanks:goodvibes I'm glad we share it too although some say I've just brainwashed her since she was a baby:lmao:

Glad to have you here:thumbsup2 Shannon's such a doll isn't she?

Trust me she will! I love when we get chatting about past trips and how much she actually remembers from the first trip when she had just turned 6:goodvibes

I agree, I always feel bad when it gets bad reviews because we've always loved it! I think sometimes people expect way too much...maybe it's just me but I think some people just like to complain.

I should have another update done this week!

I love the picture of you both and Merida! Adorable! Ohhh, I wish that lobster Mac and cheese was there the last time we were at the Coral Reef!! It looks delicious!

Thanks hon:goodvibes According to Shanleigh it was as good as it looks, she said she enjoyed it more than the one she had on the cruise.

That's really cool that you were able to meet Merida! What a nice surprise!

I was so ready to go back and have some pool time and then we saw her and that went to the wayside pretty quickly.:goodvibes
Glad you both enjoyed your Coral Reef meal. I was on the fence about eating there in May, but I'm so happy I kept the ADR. I loved that rice too and I was nervous because I don't love cilantro but I thought worse case scenerio the fish will fill me up!

And I have to agree with Shanleigh on the chocolate wave. It is one of the best desserts found in WDW. The minute I took a bite, it reminded me of the chocolate mousse from Palo aboard the Magic, which is like the crown jewel of the Disney cruises. :rotfl:
That's so funny you say that....Shanleigh said the same thing. THey were on the Wonder and she raved about the food too!! She said Palo brunch was her favourite food experience of the entire cruise.

How awesome you met Merida, she looks so sweet!
I've never eaten at Coral Reef, but your food looks so good, I need to try it out one day :thumbsup2

She was adorable, everything you would expect her to be...definitely cast this one perfectly.

You should...I find it so relaxing watching the fish and if you're really lucky the sea turtle sometimes hangs around!:cool1:

Catching up... catching up... so far behind... catching up...

You've been very busy this summer...are you home for a while now?

I hear it was crazy hot last wknd. Sorta glad we missed it, kinda bummed we missed it. When are you guys coming over for some pool time?

How does the weekend of Aug 11 sound? I know Shanleigh is off that weekend and we have something on every weekend until then....let me know!

Hot dogs. The perfect meal you can hold in your hand. Or, according to DD15, the perfect meal... period.

I love a hotdog at the MK for some reason it tastes so delicious! I used to have the same opinion as your DD!

That's so cool! At first I was like, "Who's Merida? She looks like the girl from Brave."

Duh! That was such a great movie. How was she? Was she as good in real life as 'she' was in the movie?

I have to confess that we've yet to see the movie! But what I can tell you is if the movie is half as good as this character was...I can't wait!

Yeah, there are some things you just don't rush.

You got that right. I always think how lucky we are that we have the ability to stand and wait....

::yes::

I sashay. But to each their own.

:rotfl2: I have a vision of that now in my head:rotfl2:

The force to say no is strong with this one.

Yeah...that force was makin me mad...I kept trying to justify it everyday and just couldn't....now I'm glad I didn't get it!

Cool! :thumbsup2

But no pictures? You're slipping!

I thought it would be odd for me to take the same pics everyday...we sat in the same chairs by the same pool almost everyday of our trip....creatures of habit? I think so:goodvibes

Cutie patootie. :)

Agreed, I can't wait for you guys to meet her!

It looks amazing. I've never heard of laughing bird shrimp.

Me neither and I was making a bit of a fuss over it...what if I didn't like it? To which my little darling answered "have you ever met a shrimp you didn't like"...she did have a point so I decided to give it a go!

OMG that sounds sooooo good. Me want. Now.

She want's to go back strictly for this....but she said with her luck they'll take it off the menu before our next trip!:scared:

Who doesn't?

:thumbsup2

Still a good time for sashaying, I'd say.

The best...and because I elected to have the fish I didn't have that overstuffed feeling which was great!

Not into it myself, but that's the one I'd want if I was.

Did that make sense?

Make total sense;) I'm not into them because I can't imagine having to dust them all the time.:rolleyes2

What a great day! Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

Thanks:goodvibes Let me know about that pool time!

Haha - Yes, I meant the Coral Wave. The Wave -doh. Another senior moment! :rotfl:

Enjoyed the update! Your dinner at Coral Reef looks good. That's one place we've never tried before. I always look at the menu, and go back and forth about making a reservation, but never do.

Great pic of you and Shanleigh at dinner! :)

You've been very busy this summer...are you home for a while now?

Yes! All done with the flying around stuff.

How does the weekend of Aug 11 sound? I know Shanleigh is off that weekend and we have something on every weekend until then....let me know!

I get my August schedule tomorrow, then I'll check with the boss (DW) and then I'll PM you. Sound good?

Agreed, I can't wait for you guys to meet her!

It'll be fun! :goodvibes

Me neither and I was making a bit of a fuss over it...what if I didn't like it? To which my little darling answered "have you ever met a shrimp you didn't like"...she did have a point so I decided to give it a go!

That's a very good point.

So happy to see you are writing another TR! I followed along with your last one when Jeff came along and it was a hoot!:thumbsup2

This trip so far seems like you and your daughter had a great time together! I can't wait to keep reading!:goodvibes

Another late comer! I've read a few of your other reports, and I do :lovestruc them. You and your daughter have the kind of relationship I hope to always have with my two daughters.

Merida is absolutely gorgeous! Glad you stumbled upon her!

Coral Reef is a favorite of mine, too. We haven't been in a few years, but I'm excited to be going back next month and bringing my sister along for her first time there.

Hi, I just popped in to get caught up. :wave2:

Coral Reef is a fun meal. It's cool to see the turtles and fish swimming around.
We havn't been there in a few trips. It always seems to get bumped out for a favorite or a new ADR.

I can't wait to see Merida! She looks so pretty and her bear/brothers are cute too!
We saw the movie and enjoyed it. I even cried a little.

Cute D&B bag.
The Princess one is part of my collection as well. Adore it!
I love all my D&B bags and have a new one on my list for August.
I got my first one last year and now I'm hooked.
I am a huge handbag girl so my Disney ones are super special.
I guess you would find it crazy to know I carry them in the 'real' world too.
They make me smile.
I change out my bag all the time.
I'm currently carrying an Ariel bag I picked up in May. I was saving it for my cruise but I couldn't resist.

Arielbag.jpg

My DMom and Lexi spent most of the day in your town today. The "Peg!"
They had a 9 hr layover. Don't ask... it was all she could get last minute.
Their plan was to go to the zoo and do some shopping but when they got there it was raining so they opted to just hang around the airport.
They looked around, ate a few meals, read, surfed the web, watched a movie and relaxed.
I talked to them several times and they were having fun.
Last time I talked to them they were boarding the plane headed to Red Lake and then onto my Gramma's.

Too bad I didn't join them, we may have been able to meet up for lunch.
I just couldn't take the time off right now.

They have another layover in 2 weeks...have any suggestions for what they could do?

Hope you did end up having a good weekend and being able to spend it outside.

Ooh looks like you stumbled on a great M&G.

Lol I can see why you would be tempted by that D&B bag but congrats on being able to put it back...that must've been hard.

Am glad you both enjoyed your meal at Coral Reef...it all looks yummy!

All caught up! YEAH! Well, it seems you were definitely enjoying this little "relaxation trip" a lot. That is always very obvious when you rarely take any pictures ::yes:: I'm sorry though because of not trying to not tour the parks Commando-style you missed the MK opening. I was so upset when I missed that on my second trip, it is such a fun, upbeat and heartwarming show to see when you are starting your Disney trip, but hey at least the park was empty even if you were "late".

:thumbsup2 to a lot of DTD time, it really is an under-appreciated part of WDW, there is a lot more to do there then meets the eye. Another thumbs up to the Vinylmation and meeting Merida! I thought Brave was such an adorable yet different type of movie. I wish it was much more elongated though. They had given the storyline a lot of maturity but it seemed to leave out a lot though :/ Still liked it though! (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

I could have sworn I responded to this update before the kids surprised us with a visit. :confused3

In any event, I love the photos of you and Jasmine with Merida (although I've yet to see whatever it is she is in).

Your meal at Coral Reef looks yummy. I just posted on my PTR that is where we are having our dinner and I'm having the exact dessert that Jasmine got. :thumbsup2

Glad to have you here Shannon's such a doll isn't she?

That is so cool that your DD remembers the trips from when she was little. I sure hope you are right and that we will have those kinds of memories together for years and years to come.

You know, I think that's true - there are a lot of people who really enjoy complaining. I guess that makes them happy. :confused3 :rotfl:

I love the pics with Merida!

Dinner at Coral Reef looks sooo good! I am drooling over both of your entrees. We went there last year and I got the Chocolate Wave dessert. I agree with Shanleigh it is:cloud9:
