It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Just wanted to say I'm jumping over from my cousin's PTR... teekathepony! It's so fun reading about other people's journeys and will keep me in the true Disney spirit for the next 55 days!

So happy to see you are writing another TR! I followed along with your last one when Jeff came along and it was a hoot!

This trip so far seems like you and your daughter had a great time together! I can't wait to keep reading!

I'm so happy you're here to enjoy another one! Love meeting new Dis-friends:goodvibes Jeff will definitely be on our next trip that I promise you!

We had such a fun time and there's more to come as soon as I get my butt in gear!

Another late comer! I've read a few of your other reports, and I do :lovestruc them. You and your daughter have the kind of relationship I hope to always have with my two daughters.

Merida is absolutely gorgeous! Glad you stumbled upon her!

Coral Reef is a favorite of mine, too. We haven't been in a few years, but I'm excited to be going back next month and bringing my sister along for her first time there.
Thank you so much for posting and letting me know that you enjoy the reports as much as I enjoy bringing them to you!

Isn't she though...and spunk, that girl had spunk!

You're going next month? Please be sure and let me know if you begin a TR, I would love to read it!

Hi, I just popped in to get caught up. :wave2:

Coral Reef is a fun meal. It's cool to see the turtles and fish swimming around.
We havn't been there in a few trips. It always seems to get bumped out for a favorite or a new ADR.
I think it might get bumped next trip for something we haven't done in awhile, but we'll have to wait and see, I may have a fight on my hands because Shan does love it!
I can't wait to see Merida! She looks so pretty and her bear/brothers are cute too!
We saw the movie and enjoyed it. I even cried a little.
Haven't seen it yet....I really need to get on that!
Cute D&B bag.
The Princess one is part of my collection as well. Adore it!
I love all my D&B bags and have a new one on my list for August.
I got my first one last year and now I'm hooked.
I am a huge handbag girl so my Disney ones are super special.
I guess you would find it crazy to know I carry them in the 'real' world too.
They make me smile.
I change out my bag all the time.
I'm currently carrying an Ariel bag I picked up in May. I was saving it for my cruise but I couldn't resist.

Arielbag.jpg

I carried my princess one around until I bought my new Coach last winter and I still love that one so the Princess one is safely tucked away for now! LOVE that bag!!! What girl doesn't love a good bag and shoes!
My DMom and Lexi spent most of the day in your town today. The "Peg!"
They had a 9 hr layover. Don't ask... it was all she could get last minute.
Their plan was to go to the zoo and do some shopping but when they got there it was raining so they opted to just hang around the airport.
They looked around, ate a few meals, read, surfed the web, watched a movie and relaxed.
I talked to them several times and they were having fun.
Last time I talked to them they were boarding the plane headed to Red Lake and then onto my Gramma's.

Too bad I didn't join them, we may have been able to meet up for lunch.
I just couldn't take the time off right now.
That's too bad that's a long layover! If I hadn't been working that day I could have picked them up and gone for lunch with them! I think that was the only day of rain we've had in a while!
They have another layover in 2 weeks...have any suggestions for what they could do?
The zoo is great as is The Forks! The Forks is one of our favourite places to spend an afternoon.
Hope you did end up having a good weekend and being able to spend it outside.

Ooh looks like you stumbled on a great M&G.

Lol I can see why you would be tempted by that D&B bag but congrats on being able to put it back...that must've been hard.

Am glad you both enjoyed your meal at Coral Reef...it all looks yummy!
I sure did and it was wonderful! A great M & G it was!

It was very hard but once we got back to the hotel I felt so good about walking away...you can buy a lot of other things for $210!:woohoo:

All caught up! YEAH! Well, it seems you were definitely enjoying this little "relaxation trip" a lot. That is always very obvious when you rarely take any pictures ::yes:: I'm sorry though because of not trying to not tour the parks Commando-style you missed the MK opening. I was so upset when I missed that on my second trip, it is such a fun, upbeat and heartwarming show to see when you are starting your Disney trip, but hey at least the park was empty even if you were "late".
Hi Timmy! Yeah, a little too relaxing...I'll be changing that on the next one! It will be much more structured according to my family!
:thumbsup2 to a lot of DTD time, it really is an under-appreciated part of WDW, there is a lot more to do there then meets the eye. Another thumbs up to the Vinylmation and meeting Merida! I thought Brave was such an adorable yet different type of movie. I wish it was much more elongated though. They had given the storyline a lot of maturity but it seemed to leave out a lot though :/ Still liked it though! (:

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum
I agree, just love mornings at DTD for shopping, you get so much accomplished! I love evenings for just strolling and people watching and maybe a pina colada:rolleyes1 I haven't seen Brave yet (I know I can't believe it myself) but I've heard nothing but good things about it!
I could have sworn I responded to this update before the kids surprised us with a visit. :confused3

In any event, I love the photos of you and Jasmine with Merida (although I've yet to see whatever it is she is in).

Your meal at Coral Reef looks yummy. I just posted on my PTR that is where we are having our dinner and I'm having the exact dessert that Jasmine got. :thumbsup2
Love surprise visits!

You and me both, too bad we don't live closer we could see it together!:yay:

She said to tell you that you won't be disappointed....if you are, blame her:rotfl:

That is so cool that your DD remembers the trips from when she was little. I sure hope you are right and that we will have those kinds of memories together for years and years to come.

You know, I think that's true - there are a lot of people who really enjoy complaining. I guess that makes them happy. :confused3 :rotfl:

Every now and then we pull out the old albums and remember those "firsts". I wish I had a scanner so I could share them with you!:confused3

Couldn't agree more and I can't help but think what's missing in their lives to make them so miserable:scared: Takes all kinds I keep trying to tell myself:lmao:

I love the pics with Merida!

Dinner at Coral Reef looks sooo good! I am drooling over both of your entrees. We went there last year and I got the Chocolate Wave dessert. I agree with Shanleigh it is:cloud9:
It's the one restaurant that I usually try something different at every year...not sure why, but I do:rolleyes1 It was so quiet around that area when we came out that it was just a perfect evening!
Just wanted to say I'm jumping over from my cousin's PTR... teekathepony! It's so fun reading about other people's journeys and will keep me in the true Disney spirit for the next 55 days!

I'm so happy you're here! I am enjoying her PTR and now I'll have your's to follow along on too!:goodvibes I will do my best to keep you entertained for the next 55 days (well it's less than that now but you know what I mean;))

Every now and then we pull out the old albums and remember those "firsts". I wish I had a scanner so I could share them with you!

Couldn't agree more and I can't help but think what's missing in their lives to make them so miserable Takes all kinds I keep trying to tell myself

Oh wow - you need to get a scanner!!! :thumbsup2

I always try to think that way too - better to feel sorry for people with that level of negativity in their lives.

We briefly met a mother-daughter team on our recent cruise. The daughter was in college (probably early 20s) and told me that she has to take her princess movies to college with her; they had been doing Disney together since she was a little one. I just loved meeting them - hoping DD and I will be like that when she goes off to college. :lovestruc

I'm reading your TR like it's a book I'll never get to see again in my life, you have me captured! Your butterfly pictures are stunning and the story about the Muslim family and you taking their picture, and then they waited for the two of you-truly shows that there are still good people in this world (sometimes people make me wonder :sad2:)
Seeing your pictures and reading about the Coral Reef brings back an awesome memory of my experience there in 2009. The waiter was exceptional (and very cute :rotfl:) I wanted to order a steak but am a 'well-done' kind of gal. I am very nervous ordering steak out because of this, and he actually brought a flashlight out when my food came and waited for me to cut in in half so I could make sure it was cooked perfectly! That was probably the best service (and steak, and creme brulee) that I have ever had-anywhere-EVER!

Your pictures are absolutely amazing... and making me SOOOO excited for September! Can't wait to read more!

Good Sunday morning everyone! I am having a bit of the "Disney Blues" today so I thought what better way to remedy that than a post! You see, next Wednesday August 1 my sister and her family are leaving for 13 days at Disney and we usually go with them. This year tho we decided to go in May because with Shanleigh starting University in September we thought it would be a little much right before, and besides, it's the busiest time at her work so that's where she needs to be. Whew, I'm feeling a little longwinded already! So not like me:rotfl:

This would bring us to Tuesday May 22 and a day we were both looking forward to! We were going to have a Dis-meet with iiheartxyouxox and her BF! Brittney and Keith were staying at Pop too so when we headed to the food court and grabbed our breakfast Shanleigh grabbed her phone and sent Brittney a text! They had driven I believe 18 hours straight so they weren't quite ready so we all decided we would meet at DHS! We finished up our meal and headed to the bus....this is one of Shan's favouite parks as she loves the rides!
221.jpg

We arrived and saw a pp at a place we had never seen before so of course we had to go and get him to snap a picture of us! Sun was a little bright .... and I wonder why I'm getting wrinkles...it's called sunglasses but apparently mine are no where to be found!
222.jpg

The excitement got to be too much for Shan and she headed to the ladies room so I did what I always do at this point in the park...I take pictures while I wait for her.
223.jpg

Low crowds greeted us yet again so I wasn't that concerned about the lineups and we had already decided since we would be meeting up with Brittney and Keith we would skip TSM this day and hit it on another.
224.jpg

Back in the day when we still used film, I would get all my pictures developed as we went along in case I missed a shot!! This is where we would go while we were at this park!
225.jpg

One of my favourite stores to shop in while in the World....we would stop in a little later!
226.jpg

As you can see, still not that bad for crowds!
227.jpg

Another shop that will require our full attention a little later in the trip! I browse and then on the last day in each park we do our shopping, if not, I blow the budget completely because I want everything in sight! I know you guys completely get that!
228.jpg

A Star is Born....well, she's my little star anyways and I love her to death!
230.jpg

Awww the hat....remember the trips before the hat?
231.jpg

This shop holds our favourite treat in all the land....chocolate covered strawberries! We both love them to death and can't get enough but we skipped them today and I'm sure it's because we were so excited about our upcoming meet!
233.jpg

I told her to do a scared face....this would be it LOL
234.jpg

Fairfax fries....great little place to stop for a little snack! For us, it's usually just a rest and a bottle of water, however, we have been known to maybe have an ice cream on occasion!
235.jpg

RnRC....we both love this ride and it looks pretty good right, wrong!!! THe wait was 45 minutes...the sign said 15 so they must have changed it right after we got in line! Thank goodness we stopped and got FP's for ToT before heading here!
237.jpg

Still looks good....so deceiving LOL
238.jpg

Struck up a conversation with a family in front of us so the wait time didn't seem as long and then headed to ToT to use our FP's! I remember on our first trip no one would go on this with me and now it's everyone's favourite ride. We did miss Jeff screaming like a little girl and Shan sent him a text just as we were getting on!
241.jpg

After we got off the ride, Shanleigh received a text from Brittney asking where we were so they headed over to meet up in front of the ride! Shan spotted them first and I was so excited to finally meet them! Brittney is two years older than Shanleigh so I knew they would get along just fine, only wished Jeff was here so that Keith didn't have to listen to us women for the entire morning! We headed over to Star Tours and I decided to suck it up and try it, if I started to get that sickly sensation I would just have to close my eyes!!!
242.jpg

Capturing some shots as we walked thru.....
244.jpg

Brittney and Shanleigh....two very happy girls! It felt like we had known them forever! I knew we were going to have a great morning with them!
245.jpg

Brittney and moi! Seriously, sweetest young lady!
247.jpg

After ST we headed to the Backlot Tour! We were one of the first in line and they were asking for volunteers but they didn't get any from our group, we had too much catching up to do and too much to see! The kids on the ride!
248.jpg

There is something about this tower that makes me take a picture everytime I see it!
259.jpg

Indiana Jones, I was so excited the kids had wanted to see this because it has been years since we have sat and watched this show and we loved it! gave us more time to chat too!
253.jpg

The plane the plane.......
255.jpg

After we headed to One Man's Dream as Brittney knew they had a scale model of the Fantasyland Expansion so off we went! It was spectacular and I thought about future trips when we would actually see it in person!

After that we wandered a little more and then it was time for their ADR at Sci Fi so we said our goodbyes. I was hoping we would at least run into them again at the hotel but sadly we didnt. Maybe a future trip with Jeff they can make it down and us girls can shop and the guys can work out...we thought that was a great plan!!

One of the best mornings of the trip with new friends!

I'm very late joining in, but very surprised and pleased to see a trip report from Queen!
I am so sorry, I should have sent you a PM telling you we were going and that I started the report:blush: Glad to see you!

Oh wow - you need to get a scanner!!! :thumbsup2

I always try to think that way too - better to feel sorry for people with that level of negativity in their lives.

I sure do! I think my dad has one...maybe he would teach me how to use his:goodvibes

I love that story! I think with any relationship it's what you invest in it that you see the returns (I'm a banker, can you tell) and all kidding aside that's how I feel about my daughter and I. When she was growing up I was as strict as strict could be but once those morals and values are instilled they're just there....or at least they were with mine!;)

I'm reading your TR like it's a book I'll never get to see again in my life, you have me captured! Oh my goodness ... you make me:blush: That is such an amazing compliment, thank you so much!

That is an amazing story and I love hearing about them. When I look back on past trips and the number of times we had great moments it still brings tears to my eyes.

You are going to have so much fun, I'm so excited for you guys!

:woohoo: for a great Dis Meet!

It sounds like a wonderful morning!

I love the pic of the Fantasyland expansion model! I am so excited for it to open! :)

What a great morning in DHS! Love that park! :lovestruc

Haha, I do the same thing, browse in all of the stores and then wait til the end of the trip to buy anything! It kind of backfired on my October trip though, because I wanted a Halloween mug SO bad, and I saw them in a few stores, then by the end of the trip, they were gone! We went to so many shops to look for them, asked countless CM's and they said to always buy something you like when you see it, because the next day it might be gone! Learned my lesson with the holiday items! :lmao:

Glad your DIS meet went so well, sounds like fun! Hopefully you will see each other on a future trip!

AHHH the Fantasyland expansion, I cannot WAIT until it's finished!!! :yay:

Oh no on not being able to go away with your sister but hopefully posting on here will help :)

Love the photos of the both of you.

Yay on riding, RnRC, ToT and giving Star Tours a chance! Also glad you enjoyed another DIS meet...they sure are great! :goodvibes:

Whew, I'm feeling a little longwinded already! So not like me:rotfl:

I know, usually you are very concise and succinct and rarely do you go on at great length on a subject such as this one about Disney and your TR and Shan and how it's a nice Sunday morning and was I dreaming or did it rain last night, but that's okay, cause I'm glad you posted so now I have another chapter to read and I'm really looking forward to it and it should be good too don't you think?

They had driven I believe 18 hours straight so they weren't quite ready

I should hope not! Then again, they're young.

this is one of Shan's favouite parks as she loves the rides!

So are all the parks her fave? :rotfl:

Sun was a little bright .... and I wonder why I'm getting wrinkles...it's called sunglasses but apparently mine are no where to be found!

Not wrinkles... laugh lines. There's a difference.

The excitement got to be too much for Shan and she headed to the ladies room

:lmao: Are you sure she's 19?

so I did what I always do at this point in the park...I take pictures while I wait for her.

That is so not like you!

Back in the day when we still used film, I would get all my pictures developed as we went along in case I missed a shot!!

film I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that word. What is it? :rolleyes1

As you can see, still not that bad for crowds!

That's because the rest of the horde has stampeded over to TSM, already.

I browse and then on the last day in each park we do our shopping, if not, I blow the budget completely because I want everything in sight! I know you guys completely get that!

Yes... but only because that's what I'd tell the DDs. "Look first... we can always come back. Otherwise all your money will be gone and then you'll see something you really want."

A Star is Born....well, she's my little star anyways and I love her to death!

Can't wait to meet her! :)

Awww the hat....remember the trips before the hat?

::yes::

This shop holds our favourite treat in all the land....chocolate covered strawberries!

:faint:

I told her to do a scared face....this would be it LOL

 Actually, that's pretty good!

We did miss Jeff screaming like a little girl and Shan sent him a text just as we were getting on!

That was funny!

Brittney is two years older than Shanleigh so I knew they would get along just fine, only wished Jeff was here so that Keith didn't have to listen to us women for the entire morning!

I feel his pain. :sad2:

We headed over to Star Tours and I decided to suck it up and try it, if I started to get that sickly sensation I would just have to close my eyes!!!

So how'd you do?

Brittney and moi! Seriously, sweetest young lady!

I couldn't agree more. And I'm sure Brittney is very nice too, otherwise you wouldn't associate with her.

There is something about this tower that makes me take a picture everytime I see it!

I know! It's like a rule, or something.

Indiana Jones, I was so excited the kids had wanted to see this because it has been years since we have sat and watched this show and we loved it! gave us more time to chat too!

I have not seen it since... 1992!

The plane the plane.......

No, fantasy island... I mean land, is in another park.

After we headed to One Man's Dream as Brittney knew they had a scale model of the Fantasyland Expansion so off we went! It was spectacular and I thought about future trips when we would actually see it in person!

That's cool! :thumbsup2

One of the best mornings of the trip with new friends!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

First I have to give you a hug for your Disney blues.

I know you will miss joining your sister and her family at WDW this time.
You all have so much fun together.

But remember you will always have those fabulous memories from the last trip with Shanleigh to cherish. :goodvibes

Somehow I believe there "will be" another family trip in the future for you all to enjoy! ;)

Great pics at HS! You had gorgeous weather that day!
You practically had the park to yourselves.
I missed seeing the new Fantasyland model. That is going on my must do list.

Funny you mentioned the film/developing store...I just want to add that I am so thankful for digital cameras!!!! Best invention ever!!! :woohoo:

I hope Shanleigh isn't too busy at work these days, I see the Back to School stuff is showing up everywhere.
I'm sure the mad rush will start soon.
I hope to get Lexi's done before our trip, she is excited to be starting Middle school this year.

So, you are a Coach lady...luv it! :thumbsup2

That's another fabulous picture of you and Shan! You hair looks fantastic. Wow - mine never looks anywhere near that good in Florida. In fact, I joke about just going "all Florida humidity" with my hair.

This is an awesome picture of Tot! Really great shot! :worship:

So sorry you are feeling the missing Disney blues. I used to visit in late August and whenever that time of year comes I wish I was there. The only cure - start planning your next trip! :rolleyes1

So sorry you're suffering from the Disney Blues, some days are harder than others. That's why we book the next trip! :thumbsup2

The DHS crowds really do look low. Were they all on RnRC and TSMM?

I don't think we've done Indy since 2005. It's not my favorite, but it is a nice place for a chat with friends. ;)

How did you do on Star Tours?

Can't wait to hear more!

Nice update and no I don't remember DHS before the Hat. :rotfl2:

Also, I can't believe you have never seen Phineous and Ferb. :lmao:

Awww, Disney blues are the worst. I hope your happy post snapped you out of it!
What a fun update! A great time at DHS and a lovely Dismeet!
I got to see the Fantasyland expansion model last year, it's really impressive! I can't wait to see the real thing!

I was so excited to see a new post when I got home from work today... now I'm all caught up :)

Great picture of you and Jas-uh-Shan in front of Sorcerer Mickey even with your squinting! The Photopass people know what they are doing (: And I love all your great pictures around the park just because you can take pictures. I don't think I've been to many of the DHS shops so I will have to look into the ones you recommend especially since the one shop I have been in, it was for the more feminine kind and just got a necklace for my sister there (one that was a bit too small). :/ :thumbsup2 for Tower of Terror! Such a fun ride and based on how horrified you make people with your stories on that ride, I would totally enjoying being in line with you haha Gotta make note of Fairfax Fare right there too.

YAY for your DISMeet! Looks like you guys had a good time, getting all your picture-taking in while waiting in line for Star Tours! Such a great backdrop for DISMeets. Glad to hear too you didn't have any sickly feelings on the ride, a definite plus. Sad to hear you guys didn't volunteer for the Backlot Tour, but had fun nonetheless! And it sounds like revisiting Indiana Jones was a good time too, really need to see that next time I'm in the World. Oh and the FLE model looks so cool, I can't wait until I get the chance to go back and get to see it all finished (since that will probably be the time I get to go again :P)

Glad to hear you had an overall awesome morning, can't wait to read about the rest of your day! :mickeyjum

Loved the update! Looks like you had a great time meeting Brittney and Keith! I can't wait till the day I can meet you two!!!!
