So happy to see you are writing another TR! I followed along with your last one when Jeff came along and it was a hoot!
This trip so far seems like you and your daughter had a great time together! I can't wait to keep reading!
Thank you so much for posting and letting me know that you enjoy the reports as much as I enjoy bringing them to you!Another late comer! I've read a few of your other reports, and I dothem. You and your daughter have the kind of relationship I hope to always have with my two daughters.
Merida is absolutely gorgeous! Glad you stumbled upon her!
Coral Reef is a favorite of mine, too. We haven't been in a few years, but I'm excited to be going back next month and bringing my sister along for her first time there.
The zoo is great as is The Forks! The Forks is one of our favourite places to spend an afternoon.Hi, I just popped in to get caught up.
Coral Reef is a fun meal. It's cool to see the turtles and fish swimming around.
We havn't been there in a few trips. It always seems to get bumped out for a favorite or a new ADR.
I think it might get bumped next trip for something we haven't done in awhile, but we'll have to wait and see, I may have a fight on my hands because Shan does love it!
I can't wait to see Merida! She looks so pretty and her bear/brothers are cute too!
We saw the movie and enjoyed it. I even cried a little.
Haven't seen it yet....I really need to get on that!
Cute D&B bag.
The Princess one is part of my collection as well. Adore it!
I love all my D&B bags and have a new one on my list for August.
I got my first one last year and now I'm hooked.
I am a huge handbag girl so my Disney ones are super special.
I guess you would find it crazy to know I carry them in the 'real' world too.
They make me smile.
I change out my bag all the time.
I'm currently carrying an Ariel bag I picked up in May. I was saving it for my cruise but I couldn't resist.

I carried my princess one around until I bought my new Coach last winter and I still love that one so the Princess one is safely tucked away for now! LOVE that bag!!! What girl doesn't love a good bag and shoes!
My DMom and Lexi spent most of the day in your town today. The "Peg!"
They had a 9 hr layover.Don't ask... it was all she could get last minute.
Their plan was to go to the zoo and do some shopping but when they got there it was raining so they opted to just hang around the airport.
They looked around, ate a few meals, read, surfed the web, watched a movie and relaxed.
I talked to them several times and they were having fun.
Last time I talked to them they were boarding the plane headed to Red Lake and then onto my Gramma's.
Too bad I didn't join them, we may have been able to meet up for lunch.
I just couldn't take the time off right now.
That's too bad that's a long layover! If I hadn't been working that day I could have picked them up and gone for lunch with them! I think that was the only day of rain we've had in a while!
They have another layover in 2 weeks...have any suggestions for what they could do?
I sure did and it was wonderful! A great M & G it was!Hope you did end up having a good weekend and being able to spend it outside.
Ooh looks like you stumbled on a great M&G.
Lol I can see why you would be tempted by that D&B bag but congrats on being able to put it back...that must've been hard.
Am glad you both enjoyed your meal at Coral Reef...it all looks yummy!![]()
I agree, just love mornings at DTD for shopping, you get so much accomplished! I love evenings for just strolling and people watching and maybe a pina coladaAll caught up! YEAH! Well, it seems you were definitely enjoying this little "relaxation trip" a lot. That is always very obvious when you rarely take any picturesI'm sorry though because of not trying to not tour the parks Commando-style you missed the MK opening. I was so upset when I missed that on my second trip, it is such a fun, upbeat and heartwarming show to see when you are starting your Disney trip, but hey at least the park was empty even if you were "late".
Hi Timmy! Yeah, a little too relaxing...I'll be changing that on the next one! It will be much more structured according to my family!
to a lot of DTD time, it really is an under-appreciated part of WDW, there is a lot more to do there then meets the eye. Another thumbs up to the Vinylmation and meeting Merida! I thought Brave was such an adorable yet different type of movie. I wish it was much more elongated though. They had given the storyline a lot of maturity but it seemed to leave out a lot though :/ Still liked it though!
Can't wait to read more!![]()
Love surprise visits!I could have sworn I responded to this update before the kids surprised us with a visit.
In any event, I love the photos of you and Jasmine with Merida (although I've yet to see whatever it is she is in).
Your meal at Coral Reef looks yummy. I just posted on my PTR that is where we are having our dinner and I'm having the exact dessert that Jasmine got.![]()
That is so cool that your DD remembers the trips from when she was little. I sure hope you are right and that we will have those kinds of memories together for years and years to come.
You know, I think that's true - there are a lot of people who really enjoy complaining. I guess that makes them happy.![]()

It's the one restaurant that I usually try something different at every year...not sure why, but I doI love the pics with Merida!
Dinner at Coral Reef looks sooo good! I am drooling over both of your entrees. We went there last year and I got the Chocolate Wave dessert. I agree with Shanleigh it is![]()
Just wanted to say I'm jumping over from my cousin's PTR... teekathepony! It's so fun reading about other people's journeys and will keep me in the true Disney spirit for the next 55 days!
Every now and then we pull out the old albums and remember those "firsts". I wish I had a scanner so I could share them with you!
Couldn't agree more and I can't help but think what's missing in their lives to make them so miserable Takes all kinds I keep trying to tell myself
I am so sorry, I should have sent you a PM telling you we were going and that I started the reportI'm very late joining in, but very surprised and pleased to see a trip report from Queen!
Oh wow - you need to get a scanner!!!
I always try to think that way too - better to feel sorry for people with that level of negativity in their lives.
We briefly met a mother-daughter team on our recent cruise. The daughter was in college (probably early 20s) and told me that she has to take her princess movies to college with her; they had been doing Disney together since she was a little one. I just loved meeting them - hoping DD and I will be like that when she goes off to college.![]()
I'm reading your TR like it's a book I'll never get to see again in my life, you have me captured! Your butterfly pictures are stunning and the story about the Muslim family and you taking their picture, and then they waited for the two of you-truly shows that there are still good people in this world (sometimes people make me wonder)
Seeing your pictures and reading about the Coral Reef brings back an awesome memory of my experience there in 2009. The waiter was exceptional (and very cute) I wanted to order a steak but am a 'well-done' kind of gal. I am very nervous ordering steak out because of this, and he actually brought a flashlight out when my food came and waited for me to cut in in half so I could make sure it was cooked perfectly! That was probably the best service (and steak, and creme brulee) that I have ever had-anywhere-EVER!
Your pictures are absolutely amazing... and making me SOOOO excited for September! Can't wait to read more!
Okay, I have to ask, where did you get that AWESOME bag?![]()
Whew, I'm feeling a little longwinded already! So not like me![]()
They had driven I believe 18 hours straight so they weren't quite ready
this is one of Shan's favouite parks as she loves the rides!
Sun was a little bright .... and I wonder why I'm getting wrinkles...it's called sunglasses but apparently mine are no where to be found!
The excitement got to be too much for Shan and she headed to the ladies room
so I did what I always do at this point in the park...I take pictures while I wait for her.
Back in the day when we still used film, I would get all my pictures developed as we went along in case I missed a shot!!
As you can see, still not that bad for crowds!
I browse and then on the last day in each park we do our shopping, if not, I blow the budget completely because I want everything in sight! I know you guys completely get that!
A Star is Born....well, she's my little star anyways and I love her to death!
Awww the hat....remember the trips before the hat?
This shop holds our favourite treat in all the land....chocolate covered strawberries!
I told her to do a scared face....this would be it LOL
We did miss Jeff screaming like a little girl and Shan sent him a text just as we were getting on!
Brittney is two years older than Shanleigh so I knew they would get along just fine, only wished Jeff was here so that Keith didn't have to listen to us women for the entire morning!
We headed over to Star Tours and I decided to suck it up and try it, if I started to get that sickly sensation I would just have to close my eyes!!!
Brittney and moi! Seriously, sweetest young lady!
There is something about this tower that makes me take a picture everytime I see it!
Indiana Jones, I was so excited the kids had wanted to see this because it has been years since we have sat and watched this show and we loved it! gave us more time to chat too!
The plane the plane.......
After we headed to One Man's Dream as Brittney knew they had a scale model of the Fantasyland Expansion so off we went! It was spectacular and I thought about future trips when we would actually see it in person!
One of the best mornings of the trip with new friends!
