It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Great update! Awww, you guys look like you were having so much fun during your DisMeet.

I know the feeling about needing to get into all the amazing shops in DHS. That park can get very expensive, very quickly. ::yes::

Isn't it amazing how many things you can get done when you skip the TSM mayhem?

Can't wait to hear about the rest of your day!

So excited to see a new post when I logged on this morning! :) Sounds like a great morning at DHS. The crowds looked so low-wondering if it stayed that way?!?!

Your DIS meet sounds fun. I love meeting DIS folks when I'm in the parks. It's always so nice to finally meet someone you've "talked" to for years!

Love this one!

DHS is one of our favorite parks. I love spending the time walking around that Old Hollywood environment and discovering new things. I'll have to check out the New Fantasyland model at One Man's Dream when we go in October. We really loved that walk-thru a couple of trips ago, but skipped it last time with the little one. We didn't think he'd appreciate Walt's history as much as his parents do, at least not yet! :rotfl:

What a fun DIS meet!

Wow, you guys got a lot done already! Sounds like a good day.

Really feeling the itch more than usual for Disney. Your TR is too fun, it's helping :rotfl2:

I am a 2 year lurker coming out from hiding. I absolutely love your tales and have read through all of them!

Love the latest update! DHS is all about the rides and action shows for us. DS absolutely loves RnRC, ToT, TSM and ST. And we absolutely have to see Indiana Jones, LMA Stunt show and the Muppets while we are there. We never have time to look through the shops at any park because we are busy with rides and shows. So all the photos you took as you walked around are showing me the things I want to explore on our next trip. Or maybe the one after that as DS will likely still be in thrill ride mode on our next trip.

I also have to tell you that I have been reading your other TR and PTR's as I really enjoy your writing style and sense of humour. I have laughed so much while reading them. I really wish our big family trip in March was more like your family trips. But alas, it is never to be, as we learned that we have completely different ideas on what a vacation should be. Oh well, that just means that we will do our own thing next time and enjoy it much more!

:woohoo: for a great Dis Meet!

It sounds like a wonderful morning!

I love the pic of the Fantasyland expansion model! I am so excited for it to open! :)

It was such a great morning!

You and me both! We have been having many conversations around here lately about our next trip.....can't wait to share, but not quite yet;)

What a great morning in DHS! Love that park! :lovestruc

Haha, I do the same thing, browse in all of the stores and then wait til the end of the trip to buy anything! It kind of backfired on my October trip though, because I wanted a Halloween mug SO bad, and I saw them in a few stores, then by the end of the trip, they were gone! We went to so many shops to look for them, asked countless CM's and they said to always buy something you like when you see it, because the next day it might be gone! Learned my lesson with the holiday items! :lmao:

Glad your DIS meet went so well, sounds like fun! Hopefully you will see each other on a future trip!

AHHH the Fantasyland expansion, I cannot WAIT until it's finished!!! :yay:

I learned that lesson too....probably 10 years ago now! There was this black bag that I kept looking at in every store every day! I left without buying it and I just wanted to kick myself. It was the first thing I bought the following year when we went and the year after that I had to pick one up for each of my girlfriends'....they all loved it! Not quite sure what I would have done if it hadn't have been there!:faint:

Oh no on not being able to go away with your sister but hopefully posting on here will help :)

Love the photos of the both of you.

Yay on riding, RnRC, ToT and giving Star Tours a chance! Also glad you enjoyed another DIS meet...they sure are great! :goodvibes:

It does help and it helps that I can text her while they're there and have nightly phone calls...yes we do that! I know a lot of my friends think it's weird that when we're not on holiday together that we talk to each other everyday, but we do!

Dis-meets are truly the best:thumbsup2

I got it at MouseGears in Epcot. I just love it...so cute!

Thanks for asking. :goodvibes

I have to agree, it's a great bag!

I know, usually you are very concise and succinct and rarely do you go on at great length on a subject such as this one about Disney and your TR and Shan and how it's a nice Sunday morning and was I dreaming or did it rain last night, but that's okay, cause I'm glad you posted so now I have another chapter to read and I'm really looking forward to it and it should be good too don't you think?

 I'm usually so quiet and reserved:confused3 Buying that??/ Yeah, didn't think so;)

I should hope not! Then again, they're young.

True

So are all the parks her fave?

If that kid could go back and forth between RnRC and TOT all day she would....and years ago so could I but age has played a terrible trick with my motion sensors ... they're outta wack now!

Not wrinkles... laugh lines. There's a difference.

Thank you....and I'd like to think I've earned each and every one of them

Are you sure she's 19?
somedays even I wonder that!

That is so not like you!

I know!!

film I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that word. What is it?

That's because the rest of the horde has stampeded over to TSM, already.

You're right and just when you think it's going to be a relaxing day....BAM....you're in the TSM madness!

Yes... but only because that's what I'd tell the DDs. "Look first... we can always come back. Otherwise all your money will be gone and then you'll see something you really want."

Does that work with your DD's?? It doesn't work with mine, well rarely, sometimes....actually NEVER!!!!

Can't wait to meet her! :)

She is very excited too!

That was funny!

I feel his pain. :sad2:

I think my BIL had the best trip last year when he wasn't the only male with 5 females....I think he was trying to figure out how he could get Jeff there next month when they go....my aunt, cousin and her daughter are meeting them there:rotfl2:

So how'd you do?

Not fantastic ... I had to close my eyes for the last maybe 20 seconds, so I thought that was good!

I couldn't agree more. And I'm sure Brittney is very nice too, otherwise you wouldn't associate with her.

Awww. that's so nice of you...I'll slip you a fiver when I see you::yes::

I know! It's like a rule, or something.

I have not seen it since... 1992!

There is so much wrong with this!!!

No, fantasy island... I mean land, is in another park.

I loved that show!

That's cool! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

First I have to give you a hug for your Disney blues.

I know you will miss joining your sister and her family at WDW this time.
You all have so much fun together.

But remember you will always have those fabulous memories from the last trip with Shanleigh to cherish. :goodvibes

Somehow I believe there "will be" another family trip in the future for you all to enjoy! ;)

Great pics at HS! You had gorgeous weather that day!
You practically had the park to yourselves.
I missed seeing the new Fantasyland model. That is going on my must do list.

Funny you mentioned the film/developing store...I just want to add that I am so thankful for digital cameras!!!! Best invention ever!!! :woohoo:

I hope Shanleigh isn't too busy at work these days, I see the Back to School stuff is showing up everywhere.
I'm sure the mad rush will start soon.
I hope to get Lexi's done before our trip, she is excited to be starting Middle school this year.

So, you are a Coach lady...luv it! :thumbsup2

This past weekend it was gorgeous here and she ssaid the store was nuts...busy from open to close! They are also in the middle of renovations so that doesn't help either!

Middle school....already:faint:

I don't love all Coach's, I love mine! Let me explain...I don't like the ones that have the "C"s all over them, that's not me. I like the leather ones that are very discreet... I have a gorgeous black leather one that I love for winter and my plaid one that I got for my birthday last year;)

That's another fabulous picture of you and Shan! You hair looks fantastic. Wow - mine never looks anywhere near that good in Florida. In fact, I joke about just going "all Florida humidity" with my hair.

This is an awesome picture of Tot! Really great shot! :worship:

So sorry you are feeling the missing Disney blues. I used to visit in late August and whenever that time of year comes I wish I was there. The only cure - start planning your next trip! :rolleyes1

Aww thanks Mary Ellen...the only reason my hair looks good is that picture was taken about 100yards from where we got off the bus....it didn't look so good later on....the curls started springing up almost instantly!

Thanks, but know, every cool shot I got I was channelling you::yes::

Planning has begun!!!

So sorry you're suffering from the Disney Blues, some days are harder than others. That's why we book the next trip! :thumbsup2

The DHS crowds really do look low. Were they all on RnRC and TSMM?

I don't think we've done Indy since 2005. It's not my favorite, but it is a nice place for a chat with friends. ;)

How did you do on Star Tours?

Can't wait to hear more!

You got that right!

I think they were...we walked right onto all the other rides that we did!

It had been so long there was hardly anything I remembered so it was great! You're right, gave us more time to chat!

Nice update and no I don't remember DHS before the Hat. :rotfl2:

Also, I can't believe you have never seen Phineous and Ferb. :lmao:

You don't??? If I had a scanner I would post some pics but I don't so I won't (see, now I'm Dr. Seuss)\

Ok...I have seen them on the television set when I'm at my sisters and I look around and say "really, who's watching this" and I get the hairy eyeball ...not from the kids but from Geodoc:rotfl:

Awww, Disney blues are the worst. I hope your happy post snapped you out of it!
What a fun update! A great time at DHS and a lovely Dismeet!
I got to see the Fantasyland expansion model last year, it's really impressive! I can't wait to see the real thing!

They are the worst and I had them bad, but I'm good today!:goodvibes I can't wait until it's all finished and we can all enjoy it...it's gonna be fun!

I was so excited to see a new post when I got home from work today... now I'm all caught up :)

Yay....I'm glad you enjoyed it and are all caught up:thumbsup2

Great picture of you and Jas-uh-Shan in front of Sorcerer Mickey even with your squinting! The Photopass people know what they are doing (: And I love all your great pictures around the park just because you can take pictures. I don't think I've been to many of the DHS shops so I will have to look into the ones you recommend especially since the one shop I have been in, it was for the more feminine kind and just got a necklace for my sister there (one that was a bit too small). :/ :thumbsup2 for Tower of Terror! Such a fun ride and based on how horrified you make people with your stories on that ride, I would totally enjoying being in line with you haha Gotta make note of Fairfax Fare right there too.
The library is my favorite place to scare the children...but since my nieces weren't with me I tried to scare Shan, didn't work!
YAY for your DISMeet! Looks like you guys had a good time, getting all your picture-taking in while waiting in line for Star Tours! Such a great backdrop for DISMeets. Glad to hear too you didn't have any sickly feelings on the ride, a definite plus. Sad to hear you guys didn't volunteer for the Backlot Tour, but had fun nonetheless! And it sounds like revisiting Indiana Jones was a good time too, really need to see that next time I'm in the World. Oh and the FLE model looks so cool, I can't wait until I get the chance to go back and get to see it all finished (since that will probably be the time I get to go again :P)

Glad to hear you had an overall awesome morning, can't wait to read about the rest of your day! :mickeyjum
There was no way I would be volunteering for the back lot tour...have you seen the picture of me after Splash>....not a good look!
Loved the update! Looks like you had a great time meeting Brittney and Keith! I can't wait till the day I can meet you two!!!!

It was one of the highlights of our trip that is for sure! We can't wait either:goodvibes

So glad you get it! DHS and Mousegears...my two favourties!

We were shocked ourselves and we did try and get back to see what the wait time was but that darn ol pool was calling us!

I think it did stay that way for the whole time we were there, except the Pixar area of course:)

Doesn't it feel like you've known them forever! They were both such dolls!

Love this one!

Thanks!:goodvibes

I think you might be right, but I'm sure he'll be appreciating it before long!
Wow, you guys got a lot done already! Sounds like a good day.

Really feeling the itch more than usual for Disney. Your TR is too fun, it's helping :rotfl2:
It was a great day!

Glad it's helping hon...just think September is almost here and we both know what that means....HOCKEY!!!!

I am a 2 year lurker coming out from hiding. I absolutely love your tales and have read through all of them!
Thank you so much for coming out of hiding! I knew I had lurkers and was dying to talk to them and now here you are!!! Thank you so much and I'm glad you enjoyed them all! I went back and read the first one again last weekend...love those memories!

Love the latest update! DHS is all about the rides and action shows for us. DS absolutely loves RnRC, ToT, TSM and ST. Can you believe that I missed LMA...I was pretty bummed about that!

Aww thanks so much! I really do love writing them and I am usually laughing as I write them...glad that comes thru!! We are very fortunate that we get along so well and count our blessings for it...that's for sure. Thanks again for your kind words!:)

I never went until 2004 and the hat was there by then. Itg just looks normal to me.

We both laughed at the Geodoc comment. :lmao::lmao:

So sorry you're having the Disney blues:(. I know it works like that, especially if you change your normal time of year. When I was pregnant with Sawyer, we went in May instead of September since he was due in July. Then we had to wait more than a year until the next September to go, which seemed like forever!

DHS is Brandon's absolute favorite park, I think, or it's at least tied with Epcot! I find more to enjoy there each trip, and with these shopping suggestions you're giving, I'm going to enjoy it even more next trip:thumbsup2!

Can't wait for lunch!

Hey!!!! Phineas and Ferb Rock! If you are not careful I'll sick DR D on you with his latest "inator".......can't wait to do the new P and F missions at EPCOT! 8 days and counting until we are back at WDW,

Thanks for the update! It is so fun to look at the pics from DHS - that is my DD5's favorite park. :thumbsup2

How fun to have a successful DIS meet as well. :woohoo:

Can't wait for the next mother-daughter update!

We had a great time this day too!! I hate the disney blues! I have finally overcome them and decided for our next vacation we will take a cruise instead of disney..We are doing Royal Caribbean Oasis of the Seas so im super excited but in the back of my head I keep trying to plan a disney trip too! haha. I am glad we saw Indiana Jones, it was funny and def worth it! I look forward to meeting up again in the future!!

You don't have to tell me, I think it is a great show. Have fun on the trip and look out for Dr D on those missions.

I love reading your trip reports and, it looks like you had a great time! I'm a lurker who needs to get better about posting... I can't wait to read more!

Great update, Queen., It looks like a fun DIS meet and as if you had known each other forever (cute couple).

We both laughed at the Geodoc comment. :lmao::lmao:

That household loves P & F...we don't have the Disney Channel so maybe if I actually watched it I would see the love everyone has for them:confused3 We thought of them as we were having a water break near where they have their meet and greet...the guy with the pants up to his underarms cracks me up!:rotfl2:

Can't wait for lunch!

That's how I feel right now! Why does adding on a few extra months seem like forever!

I agree, when Shanleigh was 12ish we spent a the majority of our time at DHS because she just loved the "thrill" rides! It was the same when we went to Sea World and did Kraken, I swear, 20 times in a row....back in the good ol days!

Hey!!!! Phineas and Ferb Rock! If you are not careful I'll sick DR D on you with his latest "inator".......can't wait to do the new P and F missions at EPCOT! 8 days and counting until we are back at WDW,

See, too bad you guys aren't all going to be there together this year....you guys and the kids could do these missions and pooksma and Peg could, I don't know, maybe a cocktail or two in the World!

Thanks for the update! It is so fun to look at the pics from DHS - that is my DD5's favorite park. :thumbsup2

How fun to have a successful DIS meet as well. :woohoo:

I love that she's 5 and it's her favourite park!

We have, for the most part, had wonderful meets! It's great to finally meet people you feel like you've known for years!
