Mom told me today that the other night she went to a homeowners association meeting for her neighborhood. She started noticing they had numerosu Disney things around their house. She asked them about it and it turns out not only are they neighbors to my Mom, but they're also fellow BCV neigbors to us! LOL Weird... I don't know anyoen else that owns DVC, except once years ago I saw soemoen with a DVc bag and asked her how she liked it.
Anyway, turns out they were also at WDw the same week as us thsi past December. Funny. Mom then mentioned the savedisney.com site and turns out they aren't on Roy's "side". LOL Politics in everything, isn't there? Even Disney!

So it wodul be even cooler if one of you were them? Anyone?!?

I know soemoen once from thsi board knew soemoen who lived in my neighborhood so on halloween I tried to introduce myself thinking we'd hit it off, both of us Disney fanatics, and instead I came off liek soem crazy computer freak! My hubby was like she is gonna call the police........... :o

Ah, we've all experienced that look of terror others give us DVC-obsessed, I think!

Last March I was on a flight (for business) to Orlando. I noticed a couple with 3 young kids in the row behind me. THe kids were getting were doing pretty well, for kids on a plane :), and the parents were trying very hard to insure their crew didn't disturb other passengers. I commented to the parents about what wonderful little "travelers" they had (I know I always appreciate these reassurances, and for some reason, kids seem to emulate what others think/speak of them in public -- praise invariably elicits good manners and a grin!) I asked if they were headed to WDW, which of course they were, and we chatted for a bit about the parks, the rides, etc. But by and large, they weren't really planners (you can just tell these things!) and I increasingly was growing the look of "Oh no, your children's first trip to WDW and you haven't decided on ANYTHING! No maps! No guides! No PS! AUGHHHHH! MUST FIGHT... URGE.... TO....PLAN..." Well, somewhere in my battle of self-control, I must have mentioned DVC. Then, seeing the futility, and in desperation, I fled to the bathroom, locked the little cubicle, and reminded myself with the mantra, "It's THEIR vacation... It's THEIR vacation" and returned to my seat. Lo and behold, the quiet unassuming man seated next to me says, "Did I hear you mention DVC?" Turns out, yup, he's a DVC owner. He and his wife have a dd about the same age as mine, same # of points, and live in WV too! And he's a DIS-er. He gave me his DIS "name" but sadly I did NOT write it down; all I can recall is that it had "WV" somewhere in the name. We spent the rest of the flight discussing DVC, our favorite DIS threads, etc., and I am pretty sure the folks around us thought that we were the equivalent of two Martians suddenly finding each other on Earth, based on the looks we got!

So Mark from WV if you're out there... Next time you take your dd on "It's a small world", think of that crazy lady that sat next to you on the plane!
