It's A Small Dis World

I was at garage sales with my sister the other day. At one garage sale there was a sign sitting behind the "cashier" that they were trying to earn money for Disney World (it was for a child, but I think he was still in bed). So, I asked her when they were going. My sister just rolled her eyes. After a little more conversation, my sister called me a Disney Freak. The one lady pointed out that the other one was obsessed with Disney and she even visits the Dis Board! Small world. My sister drug me away telling me how much I embarrass her, but it was neat to meet someone else who visits here.

Have any of you accidentally met another Dis'er?

I asked her, and I can't remember. I think it was M & M something, and I think it had lover in it, but I don't remember. She said that she has seen mine posts because of my name at the bottom.

Not accidentally. I have met several at Dis meets though, and even run into a couple at WDW by accident, but I had already met them.

Was talking to a nice lady while in line for the HM. Come to find out it was Mackey Mouse.

That was really neat to run into someone from the board at a garage sale. I will be having my "saving for Disney trip" garage sale in the next few weeks for all of you who live in the "south Louisiana" area! :happy2:

don't know if i'd call it an accidental meeting...but when DH and i were at WDW on our honeymoon, we were in the little gift shop there in The Land at Epcot...this guy came up behind me and asked if i was on the DIS...i told him yes, but how'd he know? he recognized me from a picture i had in my signature! it was pretty funny...he went back over to his wife and he said something about me being from the boards...his wife was so embarassed...called him a freak...it was priceless!

Wow. That's funny. The last time I thought I met a DISer was in JFK airport. Spotted someone with lime green ribbons on their bags. But I dont' have the guts to go up and ask. DH dragged me away. He said normal people would think I'm crazy talking with codenames and stuff, and the securities will lock me away.

Not accidental but I've met Pin Wizard who is a lovely lady. We both recently moved to the same area and since it's hard to meet adults when you aren't working and we have something in common I figured what the heck! We met for lunch and chatted and are hoping to get together again next week for a movie. Disboards are a great way to meet new people and have at least one topic of conversation that interests you both!

I get to meet some DISner's this sat. at the Mall of America, I can't wait( see you there Diane)! I also have become really good friends with Michelle. This October when I go to Disney World I get to meet her in person and hang out with her, I can't wait!
