ITS a POP-O-LICOUS Thanksgiving

Here is the menu from Debs site. >http://allears.net/menu/menu_piz.htm

We just love Pizzasafari! We always have a good lunch at a fair price. The food quality is great, and its also very quiet in certain spots in the restaurant, so whenever we go to Animal Kingdom this is where we eat.

Both children folk had the Cheese Pizzas - 4.49 -that comes with two sides. My kids both chose. Applesauce and punch gelatin. The grapes were extra $$

Hubby had the "Hot Italian Style Sandwich with Carrot Sticks or Chips - Turkey, ham, Swiss and Provolone Cheese topped with Caesar salad and pesto marinated tomatoes - $7.49" he got the chips...

ry%3D480

I wasn't too hungry -
"Breadsticks - Basket of fresh baked breadsticks topped with cheese and served with marinara sauce - $3.99"
They were HUGE!!..

I was still too excited thinking about my CR room to eat ;)

ry%3D480

After lunch the kids wanted to see some characters so we ambled over to camp minnie mickey and walked in to see Goofy, Donald, Minnie.

I am joining in on the report we are staying at the POP for the first time in feb and now I can't wait :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 I love your report. We like Pizzafari too. I think we'll eat there and try Yak and Yeti CS this next trip.

I am so glad you got that wonderful view. While I think the CR is gorgeous, it doesn't feel very Disney. Was it more Disney in person?

Hi Rentayenta - Actually I think it feels VERY disney -

I remember staying here as a very young child ( I just confirmed with my mother last week that my very first trip was when I was three when and we stayed in the contemporary - our first disney trip - I had forgotten!)

It's strange But I distinctly remember studying this Map picture that was in all the CR rooms at the time.

So - that and I know a bit of the history behind Walts quest to build the Contemporary with US Steel. The story is so interesting. Check out this old commercial from us steel.

Documents to get CR going..

If anything it seems more disney than any of the other hotels - except maybe the poly. Which I think is more a fave of mine - mayyybe we will do a split stay next trip. Oh man god help me

:thumbsup2 Awesome and thanks for the info. I love reading the history.

The Poly is so fabulous looking. That would be my ultimate dream resort. I love the island, tiki, beach theme meets Disney. :lovestruc

I grew up about 15 minutes from Disneyland and am super used to what I perceive as old school Disney so I guess that's why the CR and some of the others just don't have that pixiedust: Disney feeling to me.

Again, I love the links and info you are including. :woohoo:

Thanks! :cutie: Wow DisneyLand I have never been but would love to go someday. Thats where it all started! What is your favorite hotel there?
We should talk :thumbsup2

I plan to get another installment before the day is through - stay tuned!

I didn't stay in a hotel at Disneyland until 4 years ago! We lived so close we never had the need. But after living in Utah and giving the Disneyland Hotel a try in December 2005, I'll never stay with family or friends again. I cannot even tell you how pixiedust: Disneyland is. It's so much smaller than MK, so much more intimate, it's amazing. I love MK but Disneyland has my heart. :cloud9:

Having stayed at all 3 Disney hotels, yes there are only 3, in order I prefer The Disneyland Hotel. It's so old school Disney. The pool is called the Neverland Pool and it's a big pirate: ship Next I like the Paradise Pier. It's So Cal beach theme meets Disney. And finally the Grand California. It's most like the Wilderness Lodge in WDW but seems really Nor Cal redwoods and less Disney. Plus their rooms are tiny for what you pay.

Glad to see you've updated Mikkiwikki.
I feel for you when you checked in at the Comtemporary. Don't you just hate that! I'm surprised that they didn't already have all that info on the computer.
Great pictures of the room. Looks so new!
Ok, more please.

I know absolutely nothing about DisneyLand!

Even tho - I have been going to disney since (as I *now know * - as of last week) the tender age of 3 - *about* bi-annually - up until 1989.

I have 2 trips @ CR & 8 trips @ Poly as a child. 1971-1989
and I grew up in CT...so it was no small hike.

 It would appear ONE of my parents - erhem - dad -
loved disney. God bless him.

Then there was a disney drought until 2005 when I had my little family...and we have been going annually ever since.

Man If I ever get to Cali - Im definitely going to have to check with you for tips! Sounds like great fun! :cloud9:

Hey! I KNOW IT! Can you believe in this day and age - I mean I could just jump over the desk and say HERE let me show you how to pull up my balance....you go to DISNEY.COM...etc., etc. :rotfl:

Evidently I just don't understand their complicated system.

Maybe they should get rid of a few of their rate scales, and it wouldnt be so complicated. Anyways besides that one little hiccup ( that kinda recurrs when we go to checkout ) I STILL wouldstay there again. We did love it there. Maybe Im just good at forgiving missteps, but I honestly dont think they were trying to make me aggravated ...it was just their silly computers...so I let it slide....;) haha. I mean overall we had a WONDERFUL time..and I have bigger fish to fry.;) .
