It's a Jolly Holiday with LL. *FINISHED* Final Update on pg. 58.

You're welcome. :rotfl:

I want to see lots of pictures from Liberty Tree Tavern! We're going to miss the last character meal by about a week! ARGH!
That is so frustrating! I was hoping when I mentioned it to the CM that she would tell me that it was crazy talk but she was just as sad as I am. I am just glad I heard about it! I would have been very upset if I had missed it. I will make sure to take lots of pictures. :goodvibes

I will never ever ever experience LTT with characters. Sniff. Sniff. Who would have thought they would get rid of the characters??? It's just craziness!

I know! I wonder what the reasoning is behind it. I feel like there aren't a whole lot of TS at Magic Kingdom and expect that LTT is pretty popular for dinner. Maybe they are gearing up for a change? Perhaps adding a pirate character dining expericence at MK? :worship: That would be such a cool thing! Captain Hook, Captain Jack, Peter Pan, Wendy. Are you listening Disney Gods!? :worship: Or a villian dinner! That would be cool!

I would like a pirate dinner -- in Adventureland.

Ooh, that would be cool! Adding my :worship:

Money. By cutting characters they save money. With no characters they can turn over more tables per night thus making more money.
Stupid money. I bet that the characters are a big draw for dinner though, because the food isn't that great. Unless they are doing away with that too and doing a different menu.

And I'm sure the M-word is also why they're zapping Pleasure Island. :sad2:

I hope you post the design so we can see it!! I didn't even think of getting the transfer paper at AC Moore or Michael's. D'oh! Thanks for the great idea, I will print myself out a coupon, ASAP!

I'll definitely post them. I'm going to try to do a few of the t-shirts tonight when I get home. They usually keep the paper right in the section where they sell the t-shirts and fabric paints at the craft places.

I think maybe they have been getting complaints on the lack of non-character meals at MK. Really for sit down places there is only Tony's. CRT, CP, and LTT all were character meals. (I know there is the Plaza too, but it's so small I don't really count it.)

A pirate meal would be so cool! I think they really need to get that in place before Lapu Lapu Fabby Fest!

I have a couple of park ticket questions for all of knowledgable folks out there. :goodvibes

With our Wilderness Lodge portion of our trip we had to purchase a seperate package with 1 day Park Tickets for the each of us in order to partake in the free dining offer.

How I understand it, is that if we do not use these tickets they will be good on our next trip....? Is that correct?

The last time I was on the phone with the wonderful people at Disney, the CM told me to keep my key to the world cards because that is what my ticket will be on. Is that correct? He said to keep that so we can use them on our next trip, but that doesn't make sense to me. Did I need to add the non expiration date on them? Also, we are planning to upgrade these tickets for our next trip, will I be able to do that at a later time as long as I haven't used them?

This is confusing me just typing it out, so thanks to anyone who can actually read it and I will :worship: if you can answer it or point me into the right direction for me to research.

If you do not use your 1-day tickets, they will be good until you use them. You don't have to worry about them expiring.

They will be encoded on your KTTW card -- it will be your room key, your dining plan, and your park ticket. So, you will need to keep them until you use your 1-day tickets.

You can add on days, park hoppers, etc. at any time before you use them. :goodvibes

Thank you. Sometimes just having someone type it out for you so your brain doesn't jumble it all up is so helpful. Thanks CP! When I want to add onto them, I will have to do that at Disney right? I won't be able to do it over the phone?

That I don't know -- I would assume that you just do it when you check-in to your resort.

I have bag issues for our trip. First we must dial back three years. Sadly I do not have a picture of the most perfect bag that I used. I bought it at Walmart. It was $12.88, it was purple. It was perfect. It was a messenger style bag that crossed over your body, like a sling bag. I am not sure what the proper terms are but that is besides the point, it was perfect. It even had this cute little pocket on the strap that I put the keys to my lock on the bag, because I was paranoid that someone would get into it. It held shoes, wallets, water bottles. It was heaven. When I moved back to my parents after the divorce, I swear that I brought the most perfect bag in the world with me. Alas, I lost it. It is gone. Forever.

Since I booked this trip, I have been looking for the most perfect bag. I ordered this bag from walmart.com in hopes of capturing the former glory of former bag.

The one I ordered is pink and silver. I tested the bag out on several trips to my mother's while wedding planning and even to the spa for my bachelorette party. No dice. It wasn't the same and I just felt the cutting into the chest-al area was a little extreme. Not only did this bag not work out, but walmart.com shipped me TWO of them because apparently I ordered twice. I still deny the claim that I ordered two. I have two sitting in my closet. I never got around to returning it. Bad LL.

The weekend before the cruise, I searched the DIS boards for advice on park bags. I heard three things. Baggallini, Overland Donner and Vera Bradley Hipster. I liked the look of the Overland Donner bag so we went to REI and I purchased it with a coupon.

Mine is purple. I tried this bag out on the cruise. I didn't like it. The strap has no padding whatsoever and it really dug into my neck. I did like the two side pockets, it was perfect for our sunglasses or a water bottle. I also liked that the front flapped open and I could've put park tickets in it. The bag made me feel like a pack mule though. Do certain bags ever make you feel that way? This one did.

I was back to the drawing board. I did some online research and found the Vera Bradley Messenger bag. I was in love. It was bigger than the Overland Donner but I was willing to try it.

Off to the mall, robin! Ahem...I mean DH. We went before seeing Wall-E. I didn't tell DH that the bag was $85. He was in sticker shock. I was in love. He was in sticker shock. Like a good wife, I walked around the store where I happened upon the baggallini. My instincts were right about the baggallini, it wasn't big enough or comfortable enough to wrap around my poohness. Again, like a good wife I left the store and walked to the Disney store. Even there nothing was striking my fancy. I had one thing on my mind, VERA BRADLEY MESSENGER BAG. I justified the purchase in my head. I told DH since we didn't exchange wedding presents with each other this could be mine and then he could get something too. Also, we will use the bag on multiple occasions, it's washable, yadda yadda yadda. He told me to go for it.

Back in the store, I notice the sales lady working on a 50% off shelf with a messenger bags on it. I go in for a closer look and they are all ugly patterns and the old model of the vera bradley messenger. No cute side pocket on this one. I hem and haw for about 15 minutes. DH couldn't believe I was still considering the $85 bag when I could get another one for half off. I parade around the store with both of them on, not at the same time mind you. I decided that the cheaper one was bigger and bulkier but the 50% off was calling, "LL....be practical....you are staying at the WL...you can handle a bulkier bag." The fashionista in me wanted the pretty pattern, the financial guru in me wanted the cheaper one.

Which one did I get.........

......................................the more expensive one.

It goes against so many principles in the LL household. We are bargain shoppers. We aren't frivolous, throw money out the window people. :::SIGH::: I love it though. It's so pretty and I think it's going to work really well in the parks.

Needless to say...I have 3 bags that are going on ebay. That's what I promised DH as I was ringing out at the register. He was still shaking his head at me, not believing that I went for it. Like a good wife, I did get his blessing. Head shaking is good for you every once in a while.

I still have shoe drama. I was planning on buying sneakers but....ahem....I bought a bag instead. I will wear my Mary Jane crocs but I want to be able to switch shoes. I am debating the cute croc flippies but just don't know if they will work. I know I need some sturdy sneakers so I must be on the lookout.

On other trip news, I received my confirmation from Debbi @ Coral Reef that they will be doing the personalized menu for DH as a surprise. I sent them some nice wedding pictures of us and came up with a cute message.

I made three LGMH's today. I am not so sure if I like them. I am debating. I will keep you posted. I think I can make them prettier and sparklier.

I requested a few DISigns and am waiting for them to be personalized and then I will attempt to make some tshirts for us. Here is the list I have.
*Mary Poppins Shirt for LL
*Wall-E Tshirt for both. We will have different ones, DH loved the movie so much that he agreed to wear Wall-E.
*Cute Mickey & Minnie shirt for both. I did the puppy dog eyes, DH agreed.
*Halloween Shirts for both. I am still not 100% on these designs.
I am still debating on a birthday shirt for me or some kind of girly princessy one. I dunno. I am worried making these tshirts is going to be harder than I think.

I made the final payment on the Pop Century portion of our trip. Yipee!! It's official!! I made a payment on Wilderness Lodge today and have to make the final one when DH gets paid this week. Yahoo!!

I leave you with this final thought courtesy of CP...

ONLY SIX MORE MONDAY MORNINGS AT WORK UNTIL I AM IN WALT DISNEY WORLD!

According to my itinerary in 7 weeks I will be sleeping in until 9am after a long evening at Magic Kingdom and heading to EPCOT for our Coral Reef lunch at 11:30pm. :cloud9:
