IT'S 6 IN THE MORNING! A 24hr, SWW,Birthday Adventure--Updated 1/25x3!!!-FINISHED

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the FoF parade, and I don't consider myself a parade person. And my favorite Tiana was in it!

I was wondering why Cindy was wearing her winter coat. I actually thought I was reading an old TR for a minute! I was so confused!

Yay for Rapunzel being awesome!

Glad you enjoyed that parade so much and it is great that you got to see your friend perform in it. It must be so great to see someone that worked so hard for something and didn't just get it on his first try - gives you even more encouragement to keep working to make your dream come true

I totally get what you are saying about the Sleeping Beauty part and how it is weird to not have Aurora in it. It was explained to me that it is because the scene being represented takes place while she is asleep so it would be weired to have her in it, but I think they could have figured something else out. Cynical me thinks it is also due to the fact of pubbing the Melificent movie ;)

Aw, so glad Jenna enjoyed her interaction with Repunzel :goodvibes

I'm actually considering trying to FP the FoF parade. Not sure if itis worth it (or if any will be available), but I need to make sure I see it. I like the idea of the rotation too. It used to frustrate me when the people I wanted to see were on the other side.

Wow, all the princesses look so stunning too.

Awww Katt, that's so lovely your getting to see friends fulfilling their dreams. That must make seeing this extra special. :goodvibes

Beautiful pics from FoF! And congrats to your friend Quitin, you can tell that he loves what he does!

And yeah....why DOES Cindy have that many clothes on? It was 90s in May! I hope she was cool.

I so get Jenna's thing with Rapunzel. She's my fave too and when I met her she was super boring, didn't even notice that I had her and Flynn on my shirt. I was so disappointed and found Cinderella was the best.

Katt, I enjoy the multimedia aspect of your trip report. It makes me wish my monitor was bigger so I could totally watch the parade and read the report at the same time, without either having to be too tiny! Exciting for me to get my first glimpse of this new parade.

I think one of the best things about Disney is that no one is ever too old to get pictures with the characters. I've seen grandparents who looked to be around their 60's get pictures with characters, and then there was your mom's friend who turned 80 at WDW, so I was very surprised that you included yourself in the category of "older people getting pictures with characters". I don't think you're anywhere near being "older people" yet! :)

Your pictures of the parade are stunning! I never got to see all the details of the costumes up close and it really just makes them that much better. I love the Raven and under the sea costumes. Some people think they're a bit ridiculous, but the parade is called Festival of FANTASY for a reason! I really like the idea of rotating floats because that was my biggest issue w/CDCT. Half the time you couldn't see the characters at all! Can't wait to see it in person though! (Must. plan. Halloween. trip.)

And poor Aurora...getting shafted for everything! I agree it's a bit strange to have Philip and not her. Couldn't she come behind them on a float or something? She could be "waking up!"

Congrats to your friend Quintin! It's so great that his dream came true and definitely looks like he's enjoying every second!

Yup strange about Cindy. Maybe she was really cold or had something spilled on her. But I feel like they don't bring out winter wear at that time of year unless there's a really good reason! And yay for Rapunzel! It's so great when CMs realize and appreciate that adults get just as excited to see them too! :thumbsup2

Awesome parade pictures and yay for getting to see your friend!

That does sound amazingly magical to get to see his dreams coming true :)

I was just about to question the winter gear too but I like the ice cream attack theory.

And yay for Rapunzel being awesome. I feel like I always have good interactions with her. Maybe I'm just lucky.

Doing some catch up now!

Awww, that's so sad Aladdin wasn't out to recreate the photo from Jenna's childhood. I hope you guys got to meet them later!

I met Anna and Elsa after Aurora was taken out of PFH, but I probably would've felt the same way if I had gotten the chance to meet her too. And I really wanted to meet her (and didn't in the end) so it honestly bothers me that Cast Members had to start giving people the option to opt out on meeting Aurora. Fact is without Aurora, there would be no Anna and Elsa if you really think about it so they should've just left it as is and not give people that option. Or at least bring back the whole "visiting princess" thing because that was honestly super cool cool and from what I've heard Anna and Elsa were MUCH better to meet together than apart. I mean, one of the main themes in Frozen is the power of sisterly love so... there ya go!

BTW, your photos with Aurora are so cute! It definitely seemed like she would've been the one to wait three hours for that time.

OMG, FESTIVAL OF FANTASY WITH MUSIC! I got to say you just made the dream FoF update. Love FoF SOOOOO much! I totally agree about the costumes and colors, they are FANTASTIC in FoF. And that's so cool how you had so many friends with friends of characters in the parade. I'm actually super jealous of that, especially since Belle is probably the prettiest one I've seen. I think I might've actually seen your friend Quintin when I saw it. I got a great shot of the lost boys gathered together so I'll have to take a raincheck on that. Your photos are awesome though so it probably wouldn't be as clear of him.

That is really weird about Cindy, but really, if they're willing to give her long sleeves out of the blue, they should've kept Anna's hat and mittens. Just saying. Not that any of that is relevant here lol

What a fun meet with Punzie! So happy to hear Jenna got her dream meet. Your Rapunzel absolutely looks like the perfect Punz. Totally going to have to meet her when I go back, she looks like so fun no matter which friend of hers you meet.

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

P.S. I don't think I mentioned this earlier, but I followed you on IG. My username is goofy_disnerd. Just wanted to let you know so you're not confused/terrified by who's going crazy with the likes since I tend to like every single Disney photo a person posts lol

Katt, you had me in tears with this update. And now you have me looking to see if I can change a FP+ selection so that we get one for the parade. Mark hates sitting around for an hour before the parade, but I know he is going to want to see this.

I love all the pictures you got of your friend in the parade. And I love how excited you are for your friends who made it through all those auditions.

And your intereaction with Rapunzel is just so heartwarming. We had a great Rapunzel last year and her interaction with Mark was priceless

We rarely do the princesses, but I was so glad we stopped for this one.

Aweee!! Hahaha, when will you guys be there? This past week we were able to sit down half an hour before it started and still be front row! It's nice in frontierland outside the country bear area because you can sit in the shade up until around 10-15 mins before it starts and still grab a front row seat!

It's amazing! I mean, it's tough as heck to get in there, so to be able to see someone complete the journey from the very start is fantastic!

Awe! Love it!! Rapunzel's such a blast (most of the time lol) Glad you had agreat time with her too!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the FoF parade, and I don't consider myself a parade person. And my favorite Tiana was in it!

Yay!!! It's seriously amazing, I was so hesitant going in, but knew that it would be amazing, now, the changes to MiSiCi that are coming up...not so sure about those...

It's weird...yeah...I don't know why, but I'm guessing something happened to it and the winter wear was more accessible than going back to costuming?

Glad you enjoyed that parade so much and it is great that you got to see your friend perform in it. It must be so great to see someone that worked so hard for something and didn't just get it on his first try - gives you even more encouragement to keep working to make your dream come true

Exactly!!! It's like I know it's possible now! :lmao:

Yeah...it makes sense enough, but it really sucks for her that she's not in it or the hall anymore, poor aurora kicked out of everywhere!!

I wouldn't waste a fast pass on it, you can get a decent spot with just a half hour before parade starts, even this past week of August we were able to do it, and save fp for stuff like mine train/anna & elsa!

RIGHT?!

Yeah, we LUCKED OUT that day in having a bunch of good princesses, even the other day, we had a lot of PERFECTION on parade route, it was lovely!

It's amazing, I'm so happy for Quintin and so proud of how far he's come, getting trained on more and more stuff too!!

Beautiful pics from FoF! And congrats to your friend Quitin, you can tell that he loves what he does!

Thank you!!

It was odd...I still have no idea why lol, oh well!

I so get Jenna's thing with Rapunzel. She's my fave too and when I met her she was super boring, didn't even notice that I had her and Flynn on my shirt. I was so disappointed and found Cinderella was the best.

Hahah yeah, she can be pretty poopy sometimes, I don't get it, because like, she'd be way more fun to "hang out with" but some of the girls just DON'T do a good job of it....

Thank you!! I always like to add in a little extra aspect to really immerse everyone into the disney life! lol! Haha, it's an amazing parade, that's for sure! I absolutely love it, we watched it 5 of 6 days we were there last week! :rotfl2:

Exactly!!! Disney shoudl be a place that everyone should be comfortable embracing their inner kid, but then there's the people who are all "why are they in line?" or "way to hold up the line, you know there are kids who've been waiting, right?!" we waited too...thanks tips...

Beautiful F of F pics. Thanks for the updates.

Thank you!!

Awe thank you so much!! At first I was super hesitant about the costumes for the parade, but everything fits together so perfectly that it just works, and is amazing./ Yes! you need to see it! Lol.

Hahha that would totally work! Lol, I'm sad she's not in it, but hey, you can't win em all!

He loves it! And it's so great to be able to see him doing so much now, it's great!!

It was odd...who knows what happened?! Ugh,she's perfect, like, legit perfection, I'm super happy we had a great experience!

Awesome parade pictures and yay for getting to see your friend!

Thank you!!

It was a great time! I think we've just had some stinky interactions because we go through the hall so many times in a day that we catch quite a few friends, and the more you go, the more likely you are to find a not so good one.

Doing some catch up now!

Haha, we were glad it was just the first day, and had plenty of time to see him later!

Yeah...it's kinda dumb, but I understand them not wanting to have to pay that many girls. Especially with the changes coming up in fall they need upwards of something like 16 girls a day for A & E, since they'll be back in Epcot, and in Mk, and equity performers for the sing along....eck..

Awwe thank you so much!!! It truly has been a blessing getting to know as many people in entertainment as I have, and I treasure all of their friendships, lol! Belle is a stunner, that's for sure! Hahah. I'm super happy to see Q out there working his stuff, and glad that now he's doing even more!

Lol, I think it was just because something spilt or ripped. I know one day Merida had her winter wear on but said she couldn't do it anymore and took the cloak off, it's just too hot in Fl for that! Bahaha.

Ahahahaha that's totally fair!! Instagram is a place for random people to creep, so i've got no problem :rotfl2:

September 19 - 26 is when we are there; hope to catch it on the 23rd or 25th

Yeah it shouldn't be that bad then, I'd say a half hour wait would be the biggest you'd get, Frontierland is usually pretty empty. This past week I would sit in the shade or the a/c of Pecos & keep an eye on the opposite side of the street and once it started to fill up, or after the band had gone by, I'd run over to grab a spot!

Jenna and I had ONE more thing to cross off our list before we headed back to the hotel for our midday nap (first time THAT’S ever happened, bahaha) and that was due to our Disneybounds, so naturally, it involved meeting Peter Pan! Due to the double parade day, and the heat, his schedule was a little messy, and I wasn’t even really sure if he’d be over by the Adventureland Bridge, or over by his ride. We eventually figured that part out and jumped in line over on the bridge, where we ran into Megan, who we’d met at the audition the previous day, and I’d been mutually following on Instagram/tumblr for a while prior to the trip! She was also with another Disney Instagram friend, Giana (disneyworlddelights on instagram, go follow her, she’s fantastic!)

We had to wait a bit before Peter came out, and the attendant moved the line right against the railing…right in the sunshine, so clearly we weren’t in the best of moods come the time we actually got up to Peter, so I don’t know much of what we talked about with him! Lol!

I know he commented on our Disneybounds, and was probably explaining how to get to Neverland, and it was a good time chatting with him despite the heat and such!

We said thank you to the original Lost Boy, Megan & Giana, and started to head out of the park, where we caught the start of the Move It Shake It, Villains Style!

The bus for Pop wasn’t out at the stop, so we took our little journey through Art of Animation as their bus was! Soon enough, we were back in the hotel room, where we not so smartly left Yeti unsupervised;

Looks like he wouldn’t be joining us this evening, bahahah! We both pretty much hopped into bed for naps right away, I’m pretty sure I took my make up off first, and we slept pretty soundly…up until our neighbors decided to be complete jerks. We still don’t know if it was the people beside us, or the people above us, but we were both woken up before our alarm was set, by thudding sound like someone was banging a tennis ball against the wall/floor. It kept going repeatedly, we both were super annoyed, tried sleeping through it, and realized we couldn’t.

Jenna officially couldn’t handle it anymore, so she crossed over to the door beside us and knocked, and once we’d made some noise, the bouncing stopped. No one opened the door, so after waiting, Jenna returned back to our room. Then the sound started again….SERIOUSLY?! It went on for a bit before Jenna had her freak out and banged against the wall while yelling “SHUT UP” and the noise then stopped, at least temporarily, I’m not sure if it actually stopped completely or not, but like, seriously, it was annoying as all hell, and I do remember it happening again throughout the week. And yes, we did discuss the topic that it might be some adults having some not so kid friendly fun, but the way the sound was, it definitely wasn’t that.

The MAJOR downside to all of this was that we were now awake, grumpy, and not sure if we should attempt to go back to sleep or not. With the noise returning every so often, we realized that maybe we should just get up and start getting ready…whether or not that was the right choice or not, we’ll find out…..

Our naps were done, thanks to the annoying ruckus back at Pop, and we’d decided to simply just start getting ready, slowly, but surely. I definitely took longer than Jenna, I think she may have stayed in bed a bit longer, as I was both curling my hair and putting on a pound of make up lol! Soon enough, we were both ready to go, in full costume, and heading back down to the bus stop, and BOY OH BOY was IT EVER HOT! Seriously, I’ve done summer, I’ve done Sept, but the heat on this trip was seriously outrageous at points!

The bus had us pulling back into Magic Kingdom at 5:30, and I texted Victoria, my friend that had been working with the Fairy Godmother that morning, to let her know we had arrived back as we’d be meeting up. She was back over near Fantasyland, so we headed out that way first!

LOVE IT! In case you haven’t figured it out, Jenna was Alice in Wonderland (using an old costume of mine, I had bought her a kid’s Rapunzel costume but it proved to be too itchy) and I’d gotten an Esmeralda costume off Etsy that was actually made by a Disboarder, Janet (Mom2trk….something like that…on here).

The photopass was awesome enough to do some magic shots with us too, fantastic!!

Victoria said she’d meet us back by the caroseul, and lo and behold, I ran into someone else back there too! I’ve met a few princess friends of hers before, and follow her on Instagram, so I stopped to say hi, saying that I follow her on Insta and she immediately knew who I was and remembered when we’d met before, super cute!!

I still have no idea why she was stroller parking instead of princessing around that day, but oh well! We said our see ya soons, and said hello to Victoria and headed back over to the hub to check on the Move It Shake It! It was a mix of heroes and villains this time which was lovely as we got to see Hercules again! #swoon

I had wanted to stick around and dance a little bit, but the crowds and heat were getting to us, especially Jenna, and I didn’t want anything bad to happen on our first park day, so we headed inside to some sweet sweet air conditioning!

We all enjoyed the monster’s hilarity and laughed along with all the cheesy jokes & audience participation. I was of course worried about being picked, I don’t know why, but getting picked at the Laugh Floor freaks me out, bahahha! When we’d filled the canister enough to power Monstroplis, Victoria needed to charge her phone, so she headed to find an outlet, while Jenna and I took a ride through the skies of Tomorrowland!

WEEEEEEEEEE! Seriously such a good ride! It’s just so nice, it’s breezy, you can relax, you get to see a different view of Tomorrowland depending on what time of day you ride it, it’s great!

After Jenna & I picked up Victoria again, we stopped in at Auntie Gravities for a little caffeine & sugar kick for me! They have a DELICIOUS cappacino smoothie there! It tastes super similar to an Icedd Cap from Tim Hortan’s, so super bonus for me! Lol. Our adventures took us through a very crowded Fantasyland and over to the Tangled bathroom area so Jenna could have more of a photoshoot!

I absolutely LOVE that area, it’s so pretty! It sucks superbly that most of the outlets no longer work, I’m really hoping that Disney will get on fixing that because let’s be serious, there’s only so many other outlets lol! Jenna & I decided to hop on over to the Haunted Mansion next, while Victoria found another spot to charge her phone again!

The ride was great, but we definitely ended up getting stuck right at the end with the super creepy doll being all “hurry back….hurry back” yeah, we heard that one too many times! Luckily, we started moving again and did not become the 1000 and 1001 th happy haunts!

Ugh lines in the sun are the worst. I can imagine it wouldn't help the mood at all.

Oh my goodness, wow. The people who were next to you... such tools. Like, I get that it wasn't night time but for real?

Very nice costumes. You both look fab.

I'll have to let Marie know about the cappuccino smoothie because she does love her Tim Horton's Iced Caps ;)

Sorry your naps weren't as long as you needed this is when neighbor's stink:headache:

I love your costumes! The Esmeralda one is so beautiful and what a great idea to be her! :)

YAY for meeting Peter! Sorry to hear you guys were a bit done when you met him, but looks like you had a nice conversation. And that's so cool how you met Giana! I love her IG, she posts the best photos and she is just the sweetest. Everyone should totally follow her.

AAAAHHH DR. FACILIER WAS IN MISICI!!! That's so cool. I'm so glad now that they've changed it so there are new characters in every parade because this looks like it was super cool during the 24 hour.

Uggghhh, that stinks about that noise during your nap. People are just so ignorant. I'm surprised you didn't end up complaining to the front desk or something. I hope it wasn't that obnoxious during the rest of your trip.

LOOOOOVVVEEEE your Esmeralda costume! She's such an underrated heroine in my opinion, never gets enough love so I think it's perfect you chose to wear that at the party. (BTW, you and your friend's costumes for Villains Unleashed were awesome, especially your friend in the Hans suit, that was SICK.) And have you seen any of mom2rtk's other dresses? She's made a ton for her daughter in her TRs and they are so spot-on to the actual characters in the parks, it's amazing.

Haha, I'm the total opposite at the Laugh floor, I always want to get chosen or spotlighted and I have before. It makes for quite the funny experience.

The Tangled area is PERF. The end. And I didn't know the charging stations aren't working too well anymore. I must've gotten lucky on my trip. I hope Victoria found one that worked to charge her phone, I know how frustrating it is to not have a working phone.

Can't wait to read about the rest of your 24 hours! :mickeyjum
