Itchin' For Some Fun...12/10/09 - 12/14/09...Finished 3/17

When I left off we were waiting to see if the parade was going to go on after a technical delay. We were straining our necks and our eyes to see if anything was coming.

Wait! What is that I see?

The parade was on! Let me just say that for me personally, the parade was worth every penny of the admission. I loved seeing what each new float would bring and who would be dancing along next. I squealed like a little girl when I saw my Cinderella in her coach and gasped with delight at the ice skaters. Tom and I were both captivated with the wooden soldiers and their huge feet. We scrambled to gather up the “snow” that Chip and Dale threw from their floats. In short, we both were transformed into kids again and it was awesome!

I took a ton of pictures. They are not perfect quality, but I’m showing them anyway to give you a feel for the parade.

Look at poor little Eeyore back there...

That's what I love about Disney -- we can act like kids again, get all excited, and it's perfectly normal! :goodvibes

Your parade pics are great! I bet it was simply magical sitting there and experiencing every moment of it.

Right now, my long-term plan is to do a Christmas 2011 trip -- then we will get to do all these great holiday things I keep reading about on various TRs. :thumbsup2

I have to second everything you said about the castle lighting and MVMCP and the parade. I really thought the parade was the best ever and I also loved getting to help with the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! It was really special and that night absolutely MADE my vacation. I was so happy too.

Wonderful pictures! Isn't that parade FANTASTIC?!?! I loved the soldiers too! It was amazing to watch, and hear them, march down the road!

WOW, Denise, that was some seriously fabulous photo spread!!! That was a lot of work to get those done into posts, so just wanted to thank you for doing that- it's really so fun to see it all in color filled fun for us!!

Loved every minute of it all!!!

Your parade pictures are wonderful. I love that parade. I don't know what I was thinking the last time I posted. I thought you were waiting for the Halloween parade - sorry - I had a memory lapse! :rotfl: I completely forgot you were there for Christmas. See what happens when you skip too many days on the boards?????? Brain fart...............

Isn't it wonderful how Disney brings out the child in us? :goodvibes
So glad you enjoyed the parade! Wonderful pictures!

Yep--I didn't feel like anybody was looking at me like I was weird!

Love the parade photos. I need to plan a Christmas trip :goodvibes

I really struggled with the decision to go or not, and now I'm SO glad we did!

It was so fun! After I saw MeMom's photos of it during the day, I realized how much detail you can't see at night. (Or maybe it's just my poor eyesight...:rolleyes1) But I like the night-time "feel" of it!

I love your pictures of the parade! :thumbsup2 It looks so amazing!

Thanks! :goodvibes

You are so welcome! About halfway through, I was like "what have I started..." but I just couldn't cut any of the photos out! :lmao:

I figured you were just playing around and being funny! :rotfl:

Yes! And my kids can't make fun of me for embarassing them, 'cause everyone else is acting the same! ;)

Love the parade pics- everytime I see the reindeer, I think of Hip Hop Noel from Sean's Disney Christmas video. Probably now that song will be stuck in my head all day!! :rotfl: I get excited when I see Cindy, too- glad I'm not the only over-grown little girl out there!!

It was fun reliving the parade through your pictures. I love holiday trips, and that parade is one of many reasons why. I'm like Brook; I think the soldiers clomping along in time are awesome.

I love that we can go to WDW and see men who you know are big time executives and principals and cops and do all manner of jobs where they have to be so serious and stern, and they are walking down Main Street wearing a Goofy hat, eating a Mickey ice cream bar, and grinning from ear to ear as they are waiting in line to see a Princess. :)

What awesome pictures!! I haven't seen that parade but it looks like a lot of fun!!
