Italian character buffet at Portofino???

Hi - I read somewhere that there is a friday night italian buffet with characters at the Trattatoria in the Portofino.

Has anyone ever been??? If so, what was the food like? and what characters are there??

We are definitely going to visit the Portofino one evening whilst we are staying at our beloved HRH (Beloved already and we've only been there once!!! ) - and thought this would be a good option as our boys will still only be 3 and 6??? What do you think??

Oh and as its a friday it would probably be our last meal of the vacation so would want to end the trip on a high!!

We have gone there lots of times because we always stay at the Portofino. Early this year woody woodpecker was one of the characters. I think the gang from Scobby-doo is sometimes there also.

The Italian buffet was great. We really enjoyed it. The kids loved it too. They have a seperate buffet for the kids and a play area for them in the back of the restaurant.

The buffet had lots of choices. There was a create your own pasta station. the chef puts anything you want in your pasta. The desserts were excellent.
