It Will Be An October Quickie!! We're in Single Digits!!!

 Laurie, you will have to get off the EPCOT loop after it makes the circle around EPCOT. Then if you want to ride back, go down the ramp, walk over to the entrance ramp and back to the TTC Monorail. Since time will be tight, you could walk over to the buses and take the bus back to your resort. Then you would get to ride the resort and EPCOT monorail.

We have done this several times, even though we usually stayed at the Polynesian. When EPCOT was brand new, we walked over from the Polynesian (no official walk way back then), took the EPCOT monorail, got off, walked to the other ramp and went back to TTC. We had no desire to experience EPCOT until our next trip (4 mos later) because it was only our second trip, just a 3 ngt winter getaway, and we wanted to spend all of our time at the MK. :goodvibes

You are going to have so much fun!!! pixiedust:

p.s. Will Derek still be doing the College Program in December? If so, I hope we will see him as we'll be staying Port Orleans French Quarter. :)

Thanks for the info Christine!! Maybe we'll take the loop ride the morning we go to Epcot. We don't really have a lot of plans for the future world section of the park (and that opens 2 hrs earlier than the World Showcase)....we could do it then!!

Yes, Derek is in the program until the first part of January!!

Oh.....well I'm not interested in that (never go to it at DL either). Will we need to get in line for it to get pics of the tree?

Oh okay. Dont blame you. Not a big fan of the movie either.

Not really sure. I have always just gotten in line to see the movie and used that opportunity to see all the animals on the tree. There might be a separate area apart from the line to see all animals, without having to get in ride line. Sorry not more helpful on this one . But guess you will find out soon :cool1:

Well I guess I'll ask the nearest CM and go from there. If they tell me I would have to get in line....then we will and when we have our pics, we'll exit the line......lol

Mickey's PhilharMagic at the Magic Kingdom!!! It's a 3-D concert with lots of characters shown on a huge wrap-around screen. Everyone raves about this show and we can't wait to experience it for ourselves!!

I've heard nothing but good things about it......can't wait!!

Guess I should be looking at more indoor venues.....weather forecast is not looking good! :sad2: I really hope it totally changes.....I'd hate to think we leave a very soggy Oregon to get soaked the whole time we're there........I'm afraid of it ruining the party and such....... :sad1:

Rain is typical in Fla every day. If you are lucky, most days will just be afternoon showers that quickly go away

I do have to tell you last year it rained so bad on our party night, that all dance parties, parade and fireworks were cancelled. Guest relations was awesome. Gave you a choice of refund, fast passes for next day or you could reschedule for next party. We reschedule and next day it drizzled a little, but cleared up and everything went on.

So it will be okay.

Right now it's looking like LOTS of rain.....spot showers would be ok.....but 80-90% rain for day & night is not an exciting forecast. :scared1: Having everything cancelled for the party would be a drag.....we'd have to go for the refund since we only have the option for the one night. We'll keep our fingers crossed that it makes a change between now & then.

It has me nervous, too. We arrive on the 10th and our first full park day is the 11th. Today I saw 94% chance or precipitation for the 11th. I lived in FL briefly for college and I know to expect short, intense downpours in the afternoon, but I'm hoping it's not a washout. We've been saving for this trip for over two years and it will likely be another two before we can go back. Rain or not, we'll still be in Disney, but it would be nice to be protected from a downpour in a little Disney bubble! Hoping for some sunny days for us all!

I hope for the both of us that this system moves in quickly or just disappears before we arrive. It's still a week away for us, so it will change some.....just got the fingers crossed that it will!!

Fingers crossed the system passes before you arrive. ::yes::

One year we went for 4 ngts the first weekend of February - it is a nice, slow time anyway...but we had drenching rain every day...it was cold and raw...good thing I took along my original Mickey Ponchos (heavier and much cuter than the ones sold at the parks today). The rain made the parks even emptier! So the upside of rain is that the locals will stay home for Food & Wine and World Showcase will not be wall to wall guests. :)

We were at Riverside that year in an Alligator Bayou room...although I do not usually care for dark rooms, this one felt nice and cozy in the rain...and it meant we had a water view!! :rotfl:

I know crowds would be smaller......but attractions would be shut down & the party could be majorly affected too. I have such little time.....I'm just asking for 3 days for NO RAIN!!! I see too much here in Oregon. This past weekend we had over 4". Usually our Septembers are hot & beautiful.....not this time!

ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!!! We'll be leaving Oregon at 6:30am and reaching Florida at 5:10pm!!!

#7 of "What I'm Looking Forward To"!!

Expedition Everest!! Every since they started showing footage of this being built and hearing the stories about all the actual treks to the Himalaya's to make things as authentic as possible.....this has been on my radar!! Now, I finally get to go to WDW and this is a ride I'm very excited to ride (a tad nervous about the dark backwards part)!!! Bring it on Yeti!!

Good choice. Everest is a pretty cool ride :thumbsup2
