See I think West Wing would be my least favorite of the three....kinda dark for me. But if that's where they seat me......I'm going to gladly go in!!! lol

#4 of "What I'm Looking Forward To"!!!

The Festival of the Lion King in the Animal Kingdom park!!! I've wanted to see this show for sooooooo long and I'm finally going to get my chance to see it!! I love the Lion King movie (in fact I'm a huge fan of the Lion King 1 1/2)......so I know if this show is any where near the caliber of the Aladdin show at California Adventure (which I hear it is even more so).....then I know I won't be disappointed!!

This past week has been a nightmare........and where I really should be finalizing our plans, doing laundry, making sure all the directions for the kids/school/etc are laid out and packing.......I just haven't been able to bring myself around to doing it. Partly because my brain is so fried right now, I don't want to make mistakes.....so I keep pushing it off. Today.....I will start the process!! I have to! We'll actually leave in 3 days (Monday afternoon) so we can head to Portland and do one of the Stay, Fly & Parks since we have to be at the airport around 4:30am Tuesday.

Is it bad for me to say.......WE REALLY NEED THIS TIME AWAY FROM OUR KIDS?? I love them to death and will do everything I can for them.....but this mama (and papa) need a few days to forget all the troubles & woes and just clear our minds!! So hoping today is a better one & positive trip stuff can get done!!

I have never seen the Festival of Lion King show and plan to do that this February. I can't wait. I hear it is awesome pixiedust:

Hope today is better for you. :flower3:

We are not fans of Animal Kingdom park in general, so we don't spend a lot of time there. Our must dos there normally are just safari ride, Rapids and then we normally pick one more thing and then we are out of there :rotfl:

Ah, ok......I've seen where this does tend to be the least liked park.....so that makes sense.

Our plan is to do the EMH in the morning, ride Expedition Everest, have breakfast at Tusker House and see the Festival of the Lion King Show. If we reach the safari, Dinosaur or rapids will depend on time (and if we care.....lol). We'll head to DHS after that!

Hello and Welcome!!! :flower3:

Festival of the Lion King is awesome! You will love it! My favorites at Animal Kingdom are the safari ride and the Festival of the Lion King. If you can, try to ride the safari twice, you will get two different experiences. It would be best if you could ride it in the morning and then later in the afternoon but I know your time is limited.

Animal Kingdom is actually my DH's favourite park :) I know you don't hear that very often, but I think we love it as it is more natural, not as much glitz etc... FOTLK is so great, I can't wait to hear about how you enjoyed it..
We loved the safari, which is shocking for me as I don't really like zoos/animals in captivity. Male sure you watch out for Devine (I think that's her name)

I'd like to do the safari but we have a place that is a drive thru safari here....so hubby doesn't want to take time for that unless we can get right on. We'll play it by ear.

I hope we see her and they have another new one called Bamboo. Hope we see both!!!

Tell your hubby safari is nothing like a drive thru safari . We have a drive thru safari local to us as well at Great Adventure . Totally different .

If you can make the time , do check it out . Pretty cool

I will try to get to it.....it would seem weird to go to Animal Kingdom park and not see any animals.....lol. :rotfl:
