It is cold here in Florida, Sat the low will be 21 where I am.

I am going to have to agree with the pp that stated in Florida the cold is nasty because it is a wet windy cold. I know it is nothing like the temps up north, but when I worked in a call center years ago our temp was about 12 degrees outside, I was speaking with a woman from Wisconsin, she was vacationing down here, she said that this cold down here in Florida was horrible, and she could take the cold up north better. Kind of like our brutal summers very humid. Just her opinion, I HATE cold weather and refuse to go anywhere that gets any snow so I wouldn't know.

Louisiana here, just north of New Orleans. 22 this morning and supposed to be in the teens one night later this week.

Um, if I wanted to live in Montana and be cold, I would have moved there. I live in LOUISIANA, its supposed to be hot here!!!

16 degrees here in NE alabama this morning, 7 degrees with the windchill. i dread leaving home to take DD to school!

The thermometer in my van said 18 degrees when I went out to turn it on to warm up this morning. I have no idea the temp ritght now. At least they have the heat on in the hospital right now, but I think they will turn it off or down later and I will be miserable again.

I have little worry about the gas bill, ours seems to be pretty reasonable. I ran my heat most of Dec all day long and my last bill was only $80.

Noooo! Don't tell me this! I'm in Toronto right now for winter break and I'm freezing my butt off. I don't want to go back to Georgia and still be cold. Maybe it'll warm up by Wednesday night

Hello neighbor, don't count on it, it is supposed to be rain-snow mix Thursday and still cold through the weekend.

I don't like the heat, but this cold is getting to me. And DH, who is an Illinois native is even worse complaining about the cold

-6 here right now, wind chill -26. HIGH today of a balmy 7.

Down to only -5 tonight, and wind chills of only -10 to -15 (compared to -20 to -30 last night).

My DH is from Connecticut, and even he said it was cold outside this morning. I hardly ever hear those words come out of his mouth.

It's just wrong to wake up this morning to 16 degree weather outside. I'm in GA and school just started back today.

I ended up giving several kids rides to the bus stop this morning. It was too cold for them to walk there.
Growing up in MN, we were prepared for this weather, with long johns, thick coats and really warm gloves and hats. I'm sure not prepared for that extra cold weather here. Blech.
