After our first DVC purchase at Bay Lake in October, we discussed getting points at another property that we liked very much, especially the location. BoardWalk. As Christmas came, my wife and I discussed presents and we decided to get some points at BWV. So, I called Fidelity and asked about the possibility of getting our same use year and number of points we were looking for. I got an email today from Rachel with exactly what I am looking for...exactly. I really didn't think it would happen this soon or at all.

Of course, I called quickly and told her.. YES !! We want it !!!!

Genie and Sissy happy !! :yay: :yay:

Yay...congrats! I wish you a speedy ROFR and closing so you can get to the BWV.

Congrats! We are working with Rachel and I have been very happy thus far! I sent in my contract today....hoping for a speedy ROFR for us both!

Thanks !! :) The ROFR doesn't have to be speedy, as long as we get through the process. Yea Baby !! We already have to WDW trips scheduled before June. LOL

Received our papers today. My wife is soooo gooood !! She had everything done when I got home. All I had to do was sign....sign...and sign... LOL

I can't get over how quick we found exactly what we were looking for. Hopefully everything works out.

I know. My husband and I just got back from WDW on December 21st and stated "talking" about DVC. Once I looked at the low resale prices were we decided to go for it. I made two offers with The Timeshare Store and one was already in Sale Pending the other one got a better offer than ours.....Fast forward only a few days and we found a great deal at $60 per point through Fedility.....emailed them offered $55 per point and seller agreed! I have read a few negative reviews about Fedility but I think they are speedy and I've been happy with them. I'm not worried about how fast ROFR goes or how long it takes us to get our points as long as everything works out in the end! This is our first "starter" contract....starting small and making sure DVC is the right fit for our family and vacation needs.
Congrats again!

We are relatively new DVC memebers. We started with 200 @ SSR (in 2010) and the contract had a lot of banked points so we treated some of our family to the Treehouses. WOW! Best value in the DVC system in my opinion.

The first time we used our SSR points we stayed at Beach Club. We LOVED IT. Location. Location. Location. Oh and the pool too. So before the Treehouses trip we added another 200 at BCV (different UY)! Up to 400.

Last trip we stayed at BLT. My wife was 7 months pregnant and it was hot (september). We foudn BLT to be a bit different than the rest of the resorts we have stayed at so far (SSR room, SSR Treehouse, BCV) but feel in love with the place just the same. The convenience! The pool! It's simply awesome.

Just recently we came across an interesting BLT contract for 240 points and are waiting on ROFR now. We have a feeling it will NOT pass. If it doesn't we will probably add on at SSR for the same user year. 600 - 640 points.:cool1:

Goal: Get enough points to live in the Treehouses for 6 months! :)

Honestly, the way I look at it, and I'm into DVC for almost $50k, is that I could not buy a luxury condo in Orlando for that price. Not to mention the up keep, managment, car, etc. that I would need and I would still NOT be on Disney property. So, I think it's a great deal and I happily pay my dues each year with a smile.

Welcome home.

I don't need this kind of encouragement. :) :) We did our first purchase at BLT in Nov. (200 points) We haven't stayed there yet, and we decided to add about 75 points (the contract we just signed and submitted). I was thinking that would be enough....they you come along and egg me on !! :thumbsup2

Before our trip in Sept. of 2011, we never heard of DVC. :) but now

Good analogy, compared to owning a condo.... I'll pay more for my mobile phones than the yearly dues. :woohoo:

Fidelity Rocks !! I can't say enough good stuff about them. I can't believe my wife just told me, we are already at ROFR and I just sent the signed contracts in this morning. WOW !! Evy is good !!! :thumbsup2

Congrats!!! We own at both BLT and BWV because we love both locations. BLT is still our favorite in terms of getting to/from MK--but, the Boardwalk area really provides other things to do and DH and I are looking forward to enjoying both as we transition from the family trips to the adult ones!!!

They are to great locations, each offering a different experience, location, and access to different parks. I'm looking forward to lots of fun times in the future. :cool1:

Congrats to OP! WELCOME HOME!

You will love the BW. We bought back in 2000, had addonitis many times, added on there and then again, and again and again and again!!! at AKV! Our second favorite DVC resort!

Enjoy all your upcoming vacations and happy planning!
