Last night I picked up a bag of hard candy. It is 'Sorbee' Lites -- zero sugar. Individually wrapped pieces of chocolate, chocolate mint, and chocolate Peanut Butter. 6 calories each --- also fat free.

13g carbs
Sugars 0
Isomalt 13g

They are sweetened with splenda also.

Is Isomalt allowed? Please tell me YES as I am really enjoying one right now. I have a feeling it is 'okay' because it has that warning that we are all so familar with on the bag --- "Excess consumption may cause a laxative effect in sensitive persons".
:D

LOL, I can only eat 2 of those candies without the "ill" effects that you and I are familiar with!
They don't knock me out of ketosis, but I don't eat them too often because between those and my Metamucil tablets 3carbs each) it doesn't leave much room for anything of substance to fill me up.

Enjoy, Just not too much, LOL

Isomalt, malitol, mannitol, maltitol, lactitol, sorbitol, xylitol, erythritol (sp?), hydrogenated starch hydrolysates... all sugar alcohols.

Enjoy. ;)

YAY! I was coming here to WISH to ask this very question, Jody. So, I'm glad you had already asked it.

I love the answer too :teeth:
