Is your spouse ok with you being alone with the opposite sex?

How about with single women? Single women who are hoping he'd leave the wife for her.

Single women =

Could you link me to where you found this information?

It must have been very tiring interviewing every woman who has ever been cheated on..

It's odd to me so many people think grocery shopping with a friend is weird.

I prefer to go with my husband. But I've shopped with my mom, sister, friends, ANYTHING to avoid going alone. :-)

As for the original question, we don't have a rule about friends of the opposite sex.. Especially if they were friends before I came along. It'd be unfair to ask DH to cut ties with good friends.
That being said, if warning bells go off, we can 'zap' each other, and explain why said situation makes us uncomfortable, and figure out what needs to be done.

Eta: What about bisexuals, or even pansexuals? By the logic of most people in this thread, they wouldn't be allowed to have ANY friends, given that they could be attracted to either sex.

We have so little free time as it is, DH would go ballistic if I spent it alone with another man! And I'd feel exactly the same way about him spending it with another woman! That would not fly one iota in our household.

I am 100% certain we're in agreement on this. So I think that makes us a good match. :)

I guess the most important thing is that both people in the relationship be comfortable with the dynamic. One person shouldn't be out toodling around town with a member of the opposite sex if the other person is at home chewing their nails off with worry.

Marriage comes first. Friends come second.

I have no intention of worrying every second of the day if my DH is running around on me. Therefore I choose to believe that he is trustworthy. In our 22 years of marriage, he has never given me reason to distrust him or believe that he is NOT trustworthy.

If I find out that he has been untrustworthy, I'll deal with it then. But I'm not living my life on "what ifs".
