Well is it? I just got done taking mine apart, AGAIN. I have to purge sooo much. Basically its a catch all room. I have slept in it the last two nights(A snorring DH) When ever I go to do any scrapbooking, its down to the kitchen table, then up and down the stairs for the forgot item. Hopefully I can show puctures when I am done. I really NEAD just a place to go and relax while scrapbooking.

My BF has given me half his office (and we don't even live together) for my scrap stuff. Of course, the room is a mess right now since he moved in recently so that's our project this weekend. He did hang a peg board for me last week which I LOVE LOVE LOVE.

No...I scrap on a card table set up in a small back office.

I can finally say yes. When I found myself constantly working on the dining room table even though all my supplies were in my den I knew I had to change. I took out the entertainment center we had in the den, mounted the TV to the wall and used that space for a nice flat table that is my work space. I bought a ton of the 12x12 plastic storage drawers you can find at Walmart and the plastic shoebox type boxes and photo boxes for the shelves in the closet. Now everything has a place. I pull out what I need when I'm working and put it back when I'm done. That makes it easier to do a little at a time, so I find myself doing it more often.

not even close! My frequently used stash is in 2 boxes in the front hall, my paper is in the front hall closet and the majority of my stash is in the old breakfast nook in the kitchen.
My work space is the dining table in the living room (DH uses the dining room as an office) so every meal my stuff has to move. Hence the boxes in the front hall.

I really need a room of my own. I figure when we move if we get a house big enough with an eat in kitchen the dining room will become my scrap room.

What scrapbooking room? :rotfl:

I scrap on a tiny ROUND table in the living room. Yes, I said round. No, I wouldn't recommend it as it makes you crazy. I have a 12 drawer rolling cart with shallow open topped drawers that I use to store my embellies, punches, and stamps. My Cricut sits on the side table next to my bench (yes, old fashioned foot locker with a cushioned bench top and no back support) and my paper and tools live in my CM totes.

Oh, and did I mention that my scrap table is also where the laptop lives?

Just last night I told DH I had to do something about my scrapbook stuff. Right now my comfy chair in our bedroom is piled with 2 albums, a Cropper Hopper, and a 12 x 12 paper storage box. I have another Cropper Hopper on the floor, and 2 Joann's shipping boxes with my Big Shot and related dies in them are also on the floor. I am considering setting up a card table in our room just for storing things....the berber carpet wouldn't allow it to be a particularly steady place for cutting, but at least it wouldn't be a jumble on the floor.

rofl, it was for awhile.... but now it doubles as the dance practice room... who knew dance floor and a mirror could take up so much space??? back to the dining room table to scrap now. :( (on the plus side, at least dd is actually PRACTICING now :) ) maggie

Right now I am satisified. I feel it is never ending, and my DH still thinks of my room as the "where does this go? I'll put it in Deb's room, she can figure it out..." dump.

Anyway, with the help of my 2 sons I was able to get my room functional. I have 5 areas/storage areas. Scrapbooking, painting, beading, sewing, computer. It's actually working! I guess the best part was when cleaing up I found out that I had the Disney Print Creations Winnie the Pooh ( who knew:confused3 ) and $2...cool!

It must be looking good because I have 2 friends ready to set up tables in there for crops or painting lessons...

My next challenge is to create a 2 page LO to sell on ebay...I'm not greedy, I'll take as little as $200 for it :rotfl:

Well..... I would have to say a conditional yes. My scrapping area is set up in our master bedroom. It is a very large room and my scrapping stuff does not interfere at all. Our room has a jog that juts out over the stairwell, so that jog is where I have a large bookshelf with photo storage boxes that have my embellishments sorted by theme "Sports/School", "Halloween/Fall", "Spring/Easter" etc, etc., as well as a large stack of those 12x12 three-drawer sterile units (about 15 drawers total), that hold my rubber stamps, Disney embellishments (too many to fit in a photo box:rotfl: ), misc. embellishments, punches, rub-ons, etc. The jog also keeps most of the stuff out of direct sight (unless you are lying in my bed). My scrapping area is a gate-leg table that is flanked on the left by a large three drawer rolling cart that holds my scraps, larger punches, and Sizzix, with all of my solid cardstock sitting on top, sort in this Priority Mail boxes (thanks to a suggestion from someone here!). I also have another large 3 drawer rolling cart right outside the jog area (next to my TV cabinet), and a rolling kitchen cart with metal baskets that ends up holding a bunch of miscellaneous junk that I don't know what else to do with.

Overall my space works well for me, everything is right together, within a step or two. Also my TV is right there and my kids can be nearby if they want. We do have a home office on the first floor that I could move to if I wanted, but it would be a bit cramped with our current large desk. We also have a fully finished room in the basement that I could use, as it is not being used right now (it was going to be a second home office), but I don't really feel the need right now to move there.... maybe in the future. Plus I would have to be diligent about running the dehumidifier if I stored paper down there. Also, the playroom is very large and mostly unused, so I could really consider moving there. Someday I probably will. It is a great room with lots of sunlight, lots of space, etc. It's a shame the only people who see it are the kids and their friends!:lmao:

Anyhow, that is my run-on answer to your question!..................P

DH was incredibly thoughtful when he was house hunting before we got married (he had to do it himself since I lived 2 hours away at the time - yes, I am very trusting!). So, I have my own craft room in our house. It's kind of a mish-mosh of styles. I have my old desk from college and a table that make an "L" and I have 3 plastic stacking bins with drawers from Target that I keep paper in (they hold 12x12 easily) and I have a tall thin bookcase that I keep CM binders of stickers and die cuts, small paper, ribbon, files of photos, etc., then a small and short bookcase with completed albums, a basket full of new albums, and my favorite thing - a microwave cart that I can roll anywhere with all of my cutting systems, pens, punches, stamps, and chalks.

I also have 2 bookcases with my doll collection and my Hello Kitty TV and DVD player - I'm so 12 years old sometimes :upsidedow

When it's clean it's awesome, but that isn't too often! I do wish all the components matched but I'm just grateful to have a room of my own, space to work in, and a door I can shut when it's a mess :rotfl:

My space works for me. I have an extra room in our house as my scraproom. I have 2 tables--one to work on, and then one that has 7 or 8 of those shoebox sized bins on it. Those have all of my received swap items broken up by Disney park, resorts/restaurants, and then there's one for family album stuff. I also have a rolling cart with drawers in it that holds my punches, extra adhesive, my Sidekick, etc. I have a papersorter that holds all of my 12 x 12 paper next to it. On another wall, I have a bookcase with albums I still need to complete and all sorts of other stuff. The only downfall to this room is that it is where the clean laundry goes when it is waiting to be ironed or folded, so sometimes when I'm in the mood to scrap and not do laundry--the room can get taken over quickly! All in all, though, I'm pretty happy with it! :)

Most of the time, yes. I use the 5th bedroom as my scrap room...it's only 10x8 so it's a small room. I have 2 6 foot tables forming an "L" shape, with a peg board wall above one. Then I have 2 awesome cabinets floor to ceiling that I store my stuff that I'm not using in. I use the vertical cropper hopper paper storage and that sits on one table in front of me. Then to my right, is my trimmer, cricut, and embellishment cases.

It works I guess....I would love to have easier access to my printed paper...but those dang paper racks take up SOOOOOOO much space.

I finally have my very own craft/scrapbooking room, and what's in it? Toys! :rolleyes1 I do have 2 tables set up, but there's no place to put my supplies because I have no shelves or cabinets in there. So I'm using the formal dining area to scrapbook because we don't eat there, and there's lots of built-in cabinets to hold my supplies.

My scrapbooking works for me providing the weather isn't really really cold. The room is directly over the garage. When it's cold out you can feel the cold air come up thru the wide plank wood flooring.

Other than that it is great. The room is 10 x 10, holds a L shape desk for me to scrap on. I also have my sewing machine and ironing board up there. When I iron my clothes for the day, I often play with a layout too.

Yes!! It took a while but I love my space now.

My crafting room is a spare bedroom. I painted it a dark purple with gold glittery accents. It works because the house is a Cape so there are long, slanting ceilings and lots of woodwork, not too much exposed wall left so it's not too dark. I've got one big wooden table (could seat three people on each side for dinner, or one and a half per side for scrapping ;) ). I have a great set of shelves and cabinets to organize my stuff and I have most things labled so I can easily reach for whatever drawer I need to.

Best for me, the room has a door so I can shut the cats out. As much as I love my 4 footed babies, they just can't resist laying on every piece of paper I put down.

I hear you! My cat always has to be right in the middle of things, whatever I'm doing, which for scrapping means lying on the table, batting my paper around, knocking anything small off the table, knocking over the trashcan and spilling all the scraps onto the floor, etc. If I didn't have a door I'd get absolutely nothing done!

He also likes to get in the way when I'm cooking, which is why I make every effort not to do that! ;)

I am now lucky enough to have a scraproom that my wonderful hubby fitted out for me with proper 12 x 12 storage I never had.

I have pictures on my blog on 23rd Jan and 2nd April entries.

My biggest problem is that I was so used to scrapping in more public areas of the house I find I have to put everything away every day to keep it tidy. Maybe that is not a bad thing though!

Wow! what a wonderful DH you have! I *love* the cabinet he built to organize your art bins.

We just moved into our new house and we're still getting organized. We've started with two identical (well, one left and one right) corner desks from IKEA that run around the the perimeter room. MY DH will be using about 1/3rd of it for his computer and stuff and I get the rest :-) most of my scrap stuff is still in bins, waiting to be organized but I haven't had time yet to do that. We've bought some shelves and a cabinet to put my stuff in but I've yet to figure out how I'm going to lay it all out.

Does anyone have some pictures of *their* wonderful scrap rooms?
