My wedding is in less than 6 months and only my family and DF family have booked a room. I wanted to know how long it took for every ones guest to book a room. Should I be worried about this??

I have our room booked, DF's dad, and my parents (this is because I booked them myself!) My cousin booked her own room and nobody else has and my wedding is in less than five months! I am not sure if it is normal or we both have slow people!

This drove me crazy. I was so stressed out about people getting rooms and we had most people book around 2-3 months out and I think I just barely booked enough rooms. Oh well, everyone got a room that is coming so I guess it worked out!

We are about 6 months now and everyone we have told about the wedding has booked so far. (We haven't even sent out official invitations yet :rotfl: .) But then again, my dad is a hotel manager and my mom is a flight attendant, so my family is really good at setting up travel arrangements. I think a non "travel industry family" would certainly need more time...

HAHA I was worried too lol...my family didn't book until likle 3-4 months before the wedding.Don't worry they will book.

You are one lucky gal!

Same with us. At the 8 month mark, I put together a newsletter on how to decide where you wanted to stay, how the Disney's Magical Express worked, how the magic your way tickets work, etc etc. I thought they would book right away and I could get everything planned, but they all waited anyway. It will work out!

Seriously, we had guests who hadn't booked a MONTH before the wedding. I think nonDISers don't understand how far in advance you need to plan a WDW trip.

Our hotels sold out and some of our late-booking guests had to book at other places. This is when all the lovely people on this board taught me the mantra "Not my problem...." :cutie:

hahah I like that mantra!! I'm 4 months out and people still haven't booked. :faint:

It's totally not you! :dance3:

Yes, I had a couple wait until two days after the deadline and then try to book. Its like they thought we had them pre-booked somehow, even though I told them the week prior when the deadline was and that they needed to book right away. :confused3 I was on the phone several times trying to work out their problems. I finally gave them a direct number to call and washed my hands :headache: They did manage to get it done and came to the wedding...

Sometimes I don't understand people I would have my room and flight booked by now. Why would you wait until weeks before the wedding??? :confused3

I keep stressing about ADRs....I'm all "I know it's 4 months away people, but c'mon!"
