Is this just too weird? Or even allowed?

We are going during Christmas week and no park hoppers. We will be at DHS for one day only.
I have Hollywood Brown Derby lunch at 11:30 and 50's Prime Time Cafe dinner at 4:15. DD18 really wants Sci Fi, and I really don't want to part with either of those ADRs.
Would it be weird or even allowed to stick a 9:15pm ADR for Sci Fi on the same day. Of course we would skip breakfast...we have the early lunch and the meals will be spaced out about 5 hours which is a normal spacing for 3 meals a day. Should I do it?
I'm on the DxDP so the dining credits aren't an issue.

Allowed, yes. You can use your credits anyway you want, so you would be using 4 TS credits that day for those meals.

Weird? Well I wouldn't call it weird but I can't imagine having 3 sit down meals in one day, especially at DHS! :goodvibes You will probably spend 4-6 hours of your day dining.

I agree with PP, your whole DHS day would be spent at restaurants. I would decide between 50's prime time, or Sci-Fi. A note about Sci-Fi, most of the drive-in cars hold 6 people. Unless you are a party of 6, you will be sharing your car with strangers. I don't book there unless we have 6 people.

I agree that I wouldn't do it with those times because you will be doing nothing but eating. We do 3 TS meals a day but one is before park opening and the other after park closing so we only lost 60-90 minutes of park time at lunch. Plus, Sci Fi was our longest meal last trip (over 2 hours due to slow service).

I'd probably go to the late Sci Fi reservation and just have a milkshake; enough to get the atmosphere but not a full meal that late in the day.

I see nothing wrong with the OP's plan. As crowded as it will be, the 3 park breaks will probably be a relief.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think it would be that bad schedule-wise. If you are there at RD, you have two hours to ride stuff and collect FPs before lunch. After lunch, grab more FPs (if any are available) and ride/explore the less popular, indoor stuff. Then the early dinner and finish the attractions in the evening, before topping it off with a snack or whatever.

It also wouldn't be disallowed, so it's only weird if it's weird for your family! :D

I would do it. Given that its christmas week, adrs are hard to come by, and you can also cancel closer to the trip if you change your mind. Also, you could share meals at both dinners if that helps.

Even thou there are strangers behind you or in front, you dont notice them at all because like i said, they are either in front or behind. i had strangers behind us (we requested to be put in the very front seat, my son wanted to be the 'driver', haha), and we didnt even notice the ppl behind us at all the whole time. Didnt even hear them much either.

3 park breaks will probably be a relief.>>I agree. it will be a nice break in the day. I dont think 3 restaurants in HS is too much. You can go there for some milkshakes and maybe appetizers (onion rings!). Or even share a burger entree. You dont have to order huge meals. The atmosphere is AMAZING in this place. You have to experience it at least once in your life.

Thats crazy! more than enough for 2 ppl to share. :)

I highly recommend Sci Fi. Its a fun atmosphere. Food is simple but quite tasty. I love their burgers, ribs (so good! not fatty at all!), shakes and onion rings. 3 of your ADR's in one day is totally do-able. Have fun! :thumbsup2

I wouldn't do all 3 in one day, especially with the times you have. We've done the deluxe plan and with an app ( & I usually don't say it), but that would be a lot of food in one day, and we can eat a lot. We do 2 TS a day usually but a breakfast or early lunch and late dinner.

Stick with the Brown Derby for lunch - its one of my favorite restaurants on property & then I would do Sci Fi at night. It's fun & we are just 2 adults.

But as long as I think the ADRs are spaced out enough hours and yours will be, it is allowed.

& to the pp - it's not weird or whatever to be with strangers in the car. We've done it and plan to do it again. We sat behind 4 adults and it wasn't weird and we didn't even really feel like we were in the same car, it just feels like you are at a counter behind them.

If you want that much food and that many restaurants in one day, then yes, it can be done (if you're using deluxe dining credits I am sure you are aware that is appetizer, entree and dessert at each meal). These reservations are spaced out enough that you should be able to book them without their being considered concurrent.

Whether or not you actually want to spend that much of the day in restaurants is up to you.

For the benefit of others reading, it isn't as though you are sharing a table with them. The cars have bench seats, all of which face forward. The other party will be either in front of you or behind you and interaction with them wouldn't likely be expected. Although there are some persons who just don't want to eat in close proximity to someone they didn't bring with them, and they need to note that they might want to avoid this place unless there are precisely six in their party (or maybe five - I don't think they will put a solo on a bench someone's already seated at)

Looks like I won't be doing Sci-Fi.
Tons of F! dining packages just amazingly appeared after they told me they were all booked for December 27th. :confused3
So now I have Brown Derby at 1pm and 50's at 8:30pm.
