Is this body shaming?

The colour of the dress is awful.

Apologies to those that like wearing peach.

Unless it's a Khardashian wedding, that chick was out of line.

Not body shaming though. . .

I don't think body shaming is the correct word, though I think guests were out of line in how they treated her. The whole thing sure is earning her a lot of publicity and surely some $$ for appearances and for her fitness business. Probably the best thing that ever happened to her.

Totally the wrong dress for a wedding. I don't think of it as body shaming, so much as dissing her for her pathetic choice of attire for the event. She needed the help of the DIS in choosing her attire, that's for sure. LOL. It would be an awesome choice for a bachelorette party in Vegas. Not so much a wedding in Minnesota. I don't care how "hot" it was. She had many options besides that dress.

I don't for a second think that's a happy coincidence.

"If you want to join me in this movement, share your stories on social media with#KruegerKindness and let's kill all the mean girls with kindness," she wrote. "We live in a world that needs more women willing to put themselves out there for a good cause!!!"
(Liz Kruger on #krugerkindness - a social movement inspired by her experience at the wedding.)
Put themselves out there - pun intended?? Oh, my sides...:rotfl2:
I'm with Gumbo - somebody needs to give this lady a whack with the "idiot stick" and two whacks to the author of the piece in the Huff-Post.

OTOH, the other guests do sound like they behaved abominably - nice people would have felt sorry for her (she's clearly pitiable:rolleyes:) and offered her a sweater.

She wanted to go viral and she did. I don't understand everyone's desire to go viral. Yay I got my two seconds of fame. Whatever. Who cares? But I guess her aim was probably for profit. Still whatever.

I hate that she said bullys instead of bullies. Yes, I am that petty!

I must need my glasses. I swear I thought the dress was sheer in most of those stripes across it. Glad to see it's just a weird mismatched colored stripes. Either way I agree the dress is ugly and completely inappropriate for a wedding.

Not body shaming - it's idiot shaming. And I hope that never goes out of style.

And yes, she's very attractive despite the fugly dress.
Exactly! Some people need to exercise a hint of modesty. Especially at a wedding. I mean ITS THE BRIDES DAY!!! Everyone is suppose to be looking at the bride. This girl obviously couldn't stand letting someone else have the spotlight for an evening. She's an attention (you know what) and now she's trying to call it body shaming and getting sympathy?
Oy-vey....

That dress would look awful on anyone. It looks like it belongs at a homecoming dance. I'm all about women being able to show whatever they want. As in you can show whatever you want at the beach/club/outdoors without being body or slut shamed. But event appropriate attire is still a thing.

There isn't enough information to answer this question. What were the comments made to this woman while at the wedding? I mean, she was harassed for sure. Getting her butt slapped and beer poured on her (what kind of wedding was this?!), but I don't know if it's "body shaming" based on the information provided.
